  1. At least a participation award. let me check with James Harrison
  2. Really good question OP. I believe that as the roster is now, no they are not ready. Take away Zo, House Money and we might be one of 5 youngest rosters in the league. Allen and Tremaine must emerge as the core leaders on team first. Zo will be gone next year and Shady so will be a need for leaders. AB will likley only fit in on team in the hunt, with a coach that knows him and with a veteran QB who can get him the ball. Tampa with Arians and Winston may be the fit.
  3. 10 ypc and no TDs on 20 receptions is not impressive by any means. Pass on him those are Josh Reed like stats
  4. here's his combine / draft scouting report from NFL.com OVERVIEW Native Nebraskan. Walked on and redshirted in 2009. Did not see action in '10. Stepped into the lineup in '11, starting all 13 games at right guard. Played through a torn right meniscus in '12, starting all 14 games at RG. In '13, started the first six games at RG before tearing his right MCL against Purdue and undergoing season-ending surgery and did not work out at the NFL Scouting Combine because of it (medical exclusion). Elected not to lift at the combine because of an appendectomy. Team captain. ANALYSIS STRENGTHS Very solidly built with a good frame. Good leg drive -- can create a push in the run game and position-sustain. Solid in pass protection -- good anchor, shadow and mirror. Good base and balance -- controls and steers defenders. Flashes some nastiness. Intense, competitive battler. Smart and instinctive. Lunchpail worker will do a lot of extras and is very ambitious and driven to succeed. Excellent weight-room strength -- can squat a small house. Good versatility -- has played inside and outside. Very tough and played much of final two seasons through knee injuries. Possessed the biggest hands of any offensive lineman at the combine. WEAKNESSES Average athlete. Is tight-ankled and heavy-legged -- lumbers to the second level. Struggled with the quickness of Minnesota's Ra'shede Hageman (though he was noticeably playing through a knee injury that required surgery and forced him to miss the rest of the season after leaving the Minnesota game). Labors to cut off the inside rush. Struggles to adjust and pick off linebackers and is not efficient pulling and trapping. DRAFT PROJECTION Rounds 3-4 BOTTOM LINE Big, tough, physical, ornery blocker with starter-quality positional traits and intangible qualities. Is best in a phone booth, where he excels as a run and pass blocker, and is smart and savvy enough to contribute outside in emergency situations.
  5. last 2 years, 5 for 20 no TDs. 9 for 79 no TDs. 2016 6 for 114 no TDs. That is pedestrian IMHO
  6. ? no bias here right sun devil ? Harrys #s vs big time DBs like Washington seem pedestrian.
  7. My guess is a mid rounder 4th rd pick target with Shady like ability is Devin Singletary from FAU. Same school Dorsey was Ass’t AD at so OBD may pick him based on some addl insight.
  8. my feeling on OBD in draft: Trade down from 9 to 24/27 from Raiders. 24. Andre Dillon LT WSU 27. DJ Metcalf WR Miss 41. Josh Jacobs 73. Erik McCoy G/C Texas A&M TE, ILB, CB and BPAs round out picks
  9. Ok here's my best guess at OBD targets in FA signing period. I don't think Beane shoots for the stars but tries to add some under rated talent at positions of need that help offense run the ball and pass more efficiently. They like signing guys who have injury question marks as buys down cost. Excerpts from WalterFootball. Offense Jon Halapio, C, Giants. Age: 28. 3rd ranked Offensive C. Better than what we got currently - a tough guy too!Jon Halapio had a promising start to his 2018 campaign, but suffered a broken ankle in the early going that sidelined him for the year. Halapio looks like he's going to be a solid starting center in the NFL over the next five years. Daryl Williams, OT, Panthers. Age: 27. Top ranked RT. Mauler in run game.Daryl Williams was sorely missed in 2018. He played just one game because of a knee injury. Williams is Carolina's best offensive lineman, and he's only 27 (in August), so he's still due a large contract despite barely playing last year. Geronimo Allison (RFA), WR, Packers. Age: 25. Would require submitting offer that forces GB to walk away. Front loaded 2 year deal. Can play x receiver spot - only 25 too.Geronimo Allison has a tremendous amount of potential. Just 24 throughout the 2018 campaign, Allison caught at least five passes in all but one of his first four games before suffering a season-ending groin injury. Allison should bounce back in 2019, perhaps even with a Pro Bowl-caliber campaign if Aaron Rodgers remains 100 percent throughout the year. Same thing on D, not necessarily household names but strong players at point of attack up front and some versatility at 2nd and 3rd levels. Who knew Hyde/Poyer or Trent Murphy by name the past 2 years? Defense Trey Flowers, DE, Patriots. Age: 26. Hurts Pats and helps us buy insurance for Hughes and/or Shaq leaving and Murphy being unavailable due to injury - chess piece! If you want proof that Trey Flowers was crucial to New England's defense last year, consider that he missed the Jacksonville and Detroit games (was knocked out on the opening drive versus the Jaguars), and New England lost both contests despite those opponents failing to make the playoffs. Flowers is an exceptional talent as both a pass rusher and a run stopper. He's just 26 (in August), so he should continue to improve his game. Christian Covington, DE/DT, Texans. Age: 25. Not too worried on pass rush as Bills can use a Turbo package on pass downs with Zo/Shaq at DT and Murphy/Hughes outside.Christian Covington is one of the top run-stuffing defensive linemen in the NFL. His pass-rushing skills need work, but he won't turn 26 until October, so he has plenty of time to develop moves to get to the quarterback. Resign Jordan Philips as well at DT. Trevor Williams (RFA), CB, Chargers. Age: 25. $2-3mm per year likely gets him as coming off injury. RFA offer required - was a UDFATrevor Williams was excellent in 2017. Unfortunately for him, he had an injury-ravaged 2018 campaign. Williams was hobbled with an early ankle injury, then was lost for the year because of a knee issue. He's young enough to bounce back next year. Shaq Barrett, DE/OLB, Broncos. Age: 26. A Zo replacement that gets a year to be mentored by Zo. 7 FF and 14 sacks in 14 career starts!Shaq Barrett is a solid situational pass-rusher who plays the run well, too. Barrett didn't have a chance to compete for a starting job behind Von Miller and Bradley Chubb. Perhaps he'll get that chance elsewhere. I feel OBD looks for matches to our schemes than goes for the under-utilized player with some tread left on tires that they can get on a long term team friendly deal. Only Daryl Williams and Trey Flowers will be big $$ signings. The other signees will be better than the player they’re replacing and plug into lineup as a starter or part of rotation on D.
  10. I like your plan but would be very hesitant to sign trent Brown at LT as he is an RT forced to play there when Isiah Wynn got hurt. He is not a good pass pro guy and the NE quick passing game covered up some glaring holes in his game. Remember when we played Langston Walker at LT - disaster! Have to believe C and RT are a target for McD and Beane and are more affordable. Then Draft your LT (Jonah Williams in Rd1) or Andre Dillard in Back half of rd 1 (trade scenario) or Rd 2. Get a 5th year option on a premium cost position if picked in Rd1 - may be why they try trade up to back of Rd 1 and snag Dillard. So Line could look like this: Rookie LT - Dawkins LG - FA Morse/Paradis C - Teller RG - FA Williams RT Good mix of youth and veterans and way more talent and power to run block.
  11. let's call it 4 then. Kirby Jackson, Talley, Kelso and JD Williams at the end. Talley got up and secured tackle on 2nd try. And it was Ingram not Meggett for the record.?
  12. I believe this is the play you are referring to on the Giants 9+ minute drive in 3rd Quarter. Mark Ingram WR breaks 5 tackles on 3rd and 13, yikes! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vgWfLZgr-YA
  13. Based on the PR coming out of OBD McBeane have C as primary position of need. If they can't land FA of choice have to believe they go draft as they met with NC State, Miss St and this kid. From what I've seen in games and reports to date, Eric McCoy is best C prospect. There is another McCoy, TJ from FLA who is a day 3 prospect.
  14. Seriously? Dude has 5 starts in 14 games he appeared in over 4 years. No touchdowns and a 50% catch rate on 48 total targets. So he's played in 20% of their games in 4 years. Can't see any upside in signing him and honestly hope Pats waste a roster spot on him. Bet they don't.
  15. tune in next week I guess... never liked cliffhangers
  16. A player released during season or after can be signed immediately.
  17. Not a fan of Tillery. Can see OBD taking a smaller quicker 3T in middle rounds.
  18. The usual New England result. The guy in the #12 Pats Jersey didn't get hit and the refs didn't call anything. Nothing to see, move along folks!
  19. And here you go. A&M plays Alabama and Clemson and he held up well. Tough dude too. https://thedraftnetwork.com/2019/02/01/2019-nfl-draft-player-profile-erik-mccoy/
  20. Here's the link: http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000001015165/article/threeround-2019-nfl-mock-draft-10-qb-for-patriots-in-round-3 Bills Picks Rds 1-3: Taylor OT, FLA in Rd1, McCoy C/G, Texas A&M in Rd2 Arcega-Whiteside WR, Stanford in Rd3. Taylor is a Junior but fits Athletic freak profile of this regime's Rd1 picks of last year while playing RT a position of need. Is very agile and a strong run blocker. The other two are seniors and highly rated players at positions of need.
  21. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/cap/ yes searles and zo are listed, cuts may add to approx $79mm available now
  22. Interesting background, knew he was Kenmore West and UB grad. Parents survived Auschwitz! Don't necessarily agree with his politics but glad to claim him as part of the Bills Mafia. From Wiki Blitzer was born in Augsburg, Germany,[1][2] the son of Cesia Blitzer (née Zylberfuden), a homemaker, and David Blitzer, a home builder.[2][3][4] His parents were Jewish refugees from the German concentration camp in Oświęcim (Auschwitz) in Nazi-occupied Poland. He was raised in Buffalo, New York, and graduated from Kenmore West Senior High School. He received a Bachelor of Arts in history from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1970. While there, he was a brother of Alpha Epsilon Pi. Pretty sure we are at $80mm now after signing Zo and Searles
