  1. Tip of hand on Waddle signing? Only 1 year. I can see OBD drafting a RT/OG prospect this year and using them as swing in 2020.
  2. Mills became starter by default given Seantrel's suspensions and injuries. Then Dawkins drafted to be RT but Cordy couldn't go so Mills stays on as starter for 2 more years. Seemed to be a good team mate and person. Some team will get use out of him as spot starter and possible Swing Tackle. Wish him nothing but the best in his future endeavors
  3. My take is they take best 5. Have to remember that versatility is valued and indicates level of athleticism. 3 position capable players Nsekhe LT, RT, G Dawkins LT, RT, G Long C, LG, RG Feliciano C, LG, RG 2 position players Boettger RG, LG Teller RG, LG Waddle LT, RT McDermott LT, ST Ducasse RG, LG One position player Morse Bodine My read is Ducasse, McDermott and Bodine are released after draft. A 2nd day pick at OL makes roster and Boettger and a late rounder go to P.S.
  4. Interesting that Waddle played for Johnson at DET and Feliciano played for OAK when Johnson was TE coach. Familiarity with how these guys prepare , practice and play must be a factor in signing. And McD and BB must value input by position coach.
  5. Dont think so as Kellen Jr is dyslexic when it comes to chicks. Kareem likes them 18, Kellen likes em 81!
  6. Agreed. Say Long and Teller play LG and RG. Leaves Feliciano and Boettger as potential backups. Oh and Ducasse still on roster. Can see Ducasse, Mcdermott and Serles being let go after draft with little impact to cap via dead money. This team kept 9 players on 53 at OLine last year. Dawkins/Ducasse/Groy/Miller/Mills/Bodine/McDermott/Teller/Boettger. When Bodine went down they grabbed Serles. So far my best guess for Oline in 2019 is Nsekhe/Long/Morse/Teller/Dawkins/Feliciano/Boettger/ Draft IOL / Draft OT. Feliciano can play C if need be.
  7. Ebron was last TE taken in top 10 at 10 in 2014. Since then there were 2 years, 2015 and 2016 with no TEs taken in Rd1. 2017 saw 3 taken after pick 19 in rd 1, Howard, Engram and Njoku. Lats year saw 1 TE taken in Rd 1, Hurst at pick 25 to Ravens. Don't see either Iowa TE going in top 15. I would take BPA at 9 (DT, Edge or OT will likely fall) and then look at trying to target a TE by moving up into back of the round.
  8. Can't say til we balance losses vs gains in FA signings. Highly unlikely given that only 2/10 of our signings (Long, Johnson) were prior year cuts/signings.
  9. Yes granted both went GB- OAK first. But Jordy will not be a HOFer - James Lofton has the coat on man!
  10. Given that OBD has sources in Carolina its very possible this info ruled out signing Williams at RT or Kalil at LT given their 2018 injury history and Kalil's inability to play at an acceptable level. The info would have been used to build their board for FA targets, and OBD obviously valued Ty Nsekhe over both the Carolina OTs.
  11. Have to believe OBD knew this and went ahead with Ty Nsekhe signing given Kalil didn't play for most of 2018 and was one of worst LTs in NFL after big FA signing by Gettelman in 2017 in Carolina. MATT KALILT, UNSIGNED FREE AGENT Panthers released OT Matt Kalil. It's a post-June 1 designation, which creates $7.25 million in cap space. It was a necessary, expected move after Kalil missed 2018 with an unexplained knee issue. The injury washout came on the heels of a truly dreadful 2017 where Kalil's play regressed even further, and he was one of the worst tackles in the league. Kalil's 2017 signing was an abject disaster for ex-GM Dave Gettleman. The Panthers will be moving forward with Taylor Moton and Daryl Williams at tackle. Four months shy of his 30th birthday, Kalil is in danger of washing out of the league. RELATED: Carolina Panthers SOURCE: Jourdan Rodrigue on Twitter Mar 14, 2019, 4:05 PM Pass on this dude please.
  12. If he is signed, wonder if bills are considering a Stampede Rush (open to suggestions here) of all DEs on obvious passing downs. Ziggy / Shaq / Murphy / Jerry or Ziggy / Zo / Murphy / Jerry. Could cause protection issues for most OLs
  13. I liked him from afar but am cooling on him now. Some gaudy stats but level of competition and some Ds in bad fronts cause for long TD runs. He did not have startling Explosive (Vertical, Broad jump) numbers at combine. Only 5'8" tall and very short arms so pass protection will be a big issue in the pros.
  14. I just saw on jet Thread he is not do in until tomorrow as coming from the West Coast
  15. I guess it's still a promotion as was #3 with Chargers behind Allen and Mike Williams. Deep down inside, some guys never want to be the MAN.
  16. I like it and will give it a shot. Shaquil Barrett OLB/Edge from Broncos
  17. As OBD has $$ this year and next they may selectively take a proven player - say Jerry Hughes - and extend his agreement for 3 more years by basically writing a new 4 year deal that starts now with lots of upfront $$ in guaranteed $$. This would not be signing bonus as that would prorate out over 4 years and count against the cap. Make years 3 and 4 be minimal guaranteed or prorated $ and we could walk away after 2020 and we pay him when we have spare coin
  18. Pretty sure son doesn't graduate until 2020 per his Instagram site
  19. Nsekhe/Long/Morse/Teller/Dawkins Oline averages 6' 5 1/2" Tall and 319 lbs. BIG BOYS!
