  1. We are not talking runningbacks here. The no tread is a cute way of saying inexperienced. I dont trust Qbs when a team is willing to trade them within their own division. Cleveland was offering a hefty price but still.
  2. It is an intersting dilema. Teams that are a qb away do not have enough room for a 20 to 30 mil cap hit for a qb. When you pay Cousins that amount of money your roster is going to suffer. Is he a qb that will push his team through with less than ideal circumstances. Its a legitament question. He hasnt shown that with the redskins.
  3. Good Jay cutler is better than any Qb play Buffalo has had since Kelly. Rosen is the best passer of the football in the draft. He isnt big but as a pro athlete he has time and room to add muscle to his frame. His frame is a bit of a concern. The concussion thing is even larger a concern to me. If he passes the medicals and background checks and is willing to add some muscle i would go all in on Rosen. Yes i would to that for any of the three QBs Rosen, Allen, o Darnold. Imo they are a step above Jackson and Mayfield. Those 2 would be my plan c. Unable to get Cousins or Luck i would look to move to in to the top 3 or 4. unable to secure a trade i would look to move up a spot or 2 to land Mayfield or Jackson. I am not that high on Mayfield but like the potential Jackson would have.
  4. Like him or hate him I understand his thinking. Normally they set it up for McShay to just go right at him when they are contradicting each other. The truth is both feel Allen has the highest potential with the most natural tools than any Qb. Darnold and Rosen both have their flaws so it is not obscene for Cleveland to go with the northern Qb with the thickest frame and strongest arm. This also would be what Buffalo needs to get Rosen or Darnold.
  5. Rosen gets knocked for his size. Rosen is not going to make his living outside the pocket like Jackson.
  6. Im not doubting his talent. To me he has the highest potential in the draft next to Allen. To me they are 1A and 1B. Its not really a critism but not sure how the current staff would rate him. Maybe Mcdermott didnt trust his scouting staff last year to take a qb idk. My opionion if they didnt like Watson they wont like Jackson.
  7. So if you didnt like watson enough to draft him why would you draft Jackson? That was my origanal statement.
  8. Athletic, prolific passers from spread offenses. Both less than ideal size. Seems to me if you are not sold on Watson you are less sold on Jackson. Jackson is the better runner, Watson was the more refined passer.
  9. Comes down to how hard of a worker Jackson is. His biggest comparison is to Vick. If he has that ability but is a worker you are onto something. Its rare that someone with that talent will also be the hardest worker. Maybe Buffalo gets him at 21 and he plays the rest of his career with that Randy Moss sized chip on his shoulder. Again imo if they passed on Watson idk how high they woukd be on him.
  10. Bridgewater wouldnt be a bad pickup if Taylor is released or traded. He is similar to Taylor but imo he has more potential. I would still go hard for a qb in the draft. The only qb they bring in that is not making me go hars for a qb would be Cousins.
  11. I would trade up. They didnt want Watson cant imagine they are high on Jackson.
  12. 2 first rd picks, 2 seconds and no real Qb on the roster I would be upset if Buffalo doesnt leave the Draft with 1 of the top 4 Qbs.
  13. Pay the man and move one. Hes been a good player and teamate here. No reason to kick the can further with a 29 year old back. Rather over pay him by 1.5 mil this year than paying 10 mil dead cap and hes no longer here in 2 or 3 years. If bell is extended or franchised shady is no longer 1.
  14. Marino another sub 60% completion passer. Marino, Farve, Cutler, Stafford the thing they all have in common is arm talent. They make more passes Qbs without that kind of arm would make. Watched an interview with Farve and Gruden. He made a pass like Tua from Alamaba to win his first home game for the packers. Ty detmer asked him (Farve) in a meeting Monday following the game why would you try or even attempt that pass? His respond because I can. In college they dont have the talent to haul in those unique passes.
  15. If that is how the first 2 pick go I would be shocked if Buffalo didnt pay a kings ransom for Darnold. They move up with Indy or Cleveland I would assume.
  16. All the Qb out performed Tyrod. You dont need elite but you have to have good qb play.
  17. Imo you move up that far for only a Qb.
  18. This has to be the most likely outcome. Got into a bar fight and is at odds with the star Qb. That is a one way ticket out as OC.
  19. He will be franchised and then out of the league by 2020. I say no. 400 plus touches a year is insane and no player has ever been able to maintain the usage as an NFL back. i would argue that Shady has just as much tread on his tires that Bell has. i would stick with Shady and get a young back in the draft on the cheap.
  20. He is doing a bon jovi world tour. There are only 30 Cities with NFL Stadiums you fill those that 5 mil a piece. So this has everything to do with money. He hopes to play in WNY again. He is laying a grass roots campaign to get people to pay to see him. Its easy to say the Trump who is petty and seen as a liar was to blame.
  21. Injuries. He is a pretty good Qb he just cant stay healthy. This is what happened when they drafted Ej. They took a Qb who wasnt polished and signed Keven Kolb. kolb got eaten by the mat monster and all was left was for Ej to rush into starting. That could happen with Bradford. Worst thing to happen would be for a Qb to lose a Qb battle than for you to go back to him.
  22. That is part right. Lets see what he does at Qb. Decent cap space and a ton of picks. This offseason will define his stint in Buffalo.
  23. As i assume we are drafting a qb we are also installing a whole new offense that is apparently easier to communicate and understand. Starting on the ground level with it as an organization and Quarterback it could blossom into a very diverse offense. Im not sure how his feel is as a play caller but assume he is a smart guy and good teacher of the system if both Saban and Billecheck like him. The offense makes sense for Mcdermott. It would essentially be his style of defense applied to offense. By that not overly complex to understand, and not overly wordy to break down.
  24. Not surprised. He is a decent edge setter. if anything I would like Lawson to get a little bigger and stronger and move him inside on passing situations.
  25. We play a little bit but watching the Patriots lose to a Bortles lead offense would make me very happy. If Daures lays out Brady I would be just as happy if it was Campbell. I am not afraid of Jacksonville I dont see them as a dynasty I see them as a team on an incredible run like one of those Giant teams. The Patriots are a champion Boxer late in their career. I dont care who beats them as long as they get knocked out im good.
