  1. I have little issue or complaint with the offense. In a pick your poison proposition Im fine with a conservative passing attack paired with an efficient run game. When the run game is the focus of the defense I fully believe Allen can and will be as explosive as ever. Sure a few things fall the right way this past Sunday Buffalo wins 42-6 Cook rushes for a few less yards and the offense sits the 4th quarters. Allen has 2 throws and 2 decisions he wants back. In a game that is pretty standard for every qb. Seems more glaring with only 19 attempts thats a quarter of the decisions. I think moving past Milano, Rapp and White are all positives. Walker, Harriston and Hancock look good. A healthy Shaq Thompson may be the biggest pleasant surprise. Keep him at mike with Benard at the will. Milano strictly on the passing downs. I don't want to peak before Halloween. They are figuring things out on defense. I think the passing game is very close. Getting this thing tightened up for a run is what has happened for the last 3 years. What the Patriots used to do. What the Chiefs have done. I have no doubt it doesn't happen again.
  2. More Hoecht, Harriston, Hancock and Thompson on defense. Buffalo moved Kc around last season. Curious how they answer. Kincaid, Knox, Johnson and Cook imo will be heavily involved in the passing game. Gonna be hard fought 4 quarter game. I think Buffalo is better than most and show it Sunday.
  3. The Bills are 5-2 solidly in the hunt for the 1 seed. Best rushing attack in football coming off the defenses best performance. Both Hancock and Harriston flashed and should be used more going forward. Friday before week 1 I told you they are 5-2 playing the Chiefs who are 5-3. Cook is playing better than a healthy Saquan, Henry and Mccaffery. Allen has a higher completion percentage than 24. Is on pace for more Passing yards and TDs. Both Harriston and Hoecht flashed in their debut on defense. Would you take that? Everyone would
  4. By the way. Philly won a Superbowl with an elite run game. Mid way through the year their defense improved when they moved away from a veteran safety and corner for 2 rookies. Around that time they discovered their best mike was a veteran value signing. Makes you wonder.
  5. Agreed. Low volume makes normal passing game miscues stick out more. He will miss a few than make 10 in a row. Gotta just be happy with a historic rushing day by Cook. It’s like saying Cook didnt run enough if Allen threw for 500 yards. Brady wants a balanced attack so he can hammer a mismatch or tactical advantage. He was the OC vs the Rams, Ravens and Lions. If they can attack outside, inside, down the field, over the middle, or underneath they will.
  6. No. Biggest question is the defense and it is beginning to round into shape. Buffalo has an elite multifaceted running game. Defense will begin to be more aggressive on early downs. That will open up more passing on early downs.
  7. Palmer was obviously a big part of the Atlanta game plan. Him going down made them very thin at wr. Allen willing to throw the ball consistently under center on early downs will do wonders for the passing attack and down the field passes. Gotta be able to rip seems and crossers off outside zone and duo. Rumblings of Allen prefers to pass out of shotgun points to the disconnected passing and running attack. To generate the down field passes early down PA is the answer. Cook is too good right now not to merry it. The shotgun nothing fake is fine without a traditional run game. Buffalo has one and the team has to lean into it. BTW Cook had the most rushing yards in about 50 years for Buffalo. More than Thurman Thomas, Willis Mcgahee, Marshawn Lynch, Fred Jackson, and Lesean McCoy. Jonathan Taylor is running away with OPY. Cook is averaging more yards a game and more yards per carry. This is an elite run game. The passing game needs to fit in where it can get in at the moment. I dont understand why some want to move away from it because it’s not as flashy?
  8. Corner route to Moore sailed out of bounds Coleman and Kincaid sitting down in the hole of the zone at different levels. Ball ended up between them. Those are two viewable on Tv. Allen had a C game. No bad plays beside the sack. A few misses but overall did what was required to win the game. When Cook was getting 8-10 a carry it was pretty obvious where the play calling needed to go. 40 point and Allen did next to nothing is great. Is he capable of more? Yes. Is the passing game capable of more? I think so. When matchup dictates I would use Cook more in the passing attack when the running game is stymied.
  9. Imo it’s a lack of volume. Allen threw the ball 19 times. Early he was out of rhythm. With Cooks explosion the passing game was no longer needed. Once it started to click the game was over.
  10. Year over year its about the same. Little more yards per game and yards per attempt compared to last season. Biggest difference is the sacks. Maybe chasing it a bit at the moment. First season where James Cook and the run game is the best part of the offense including Josh. This could have been a weird game if Josh had to throw it 40 times. He had to throw it 19 and sat the 4th quarter. Multiple games this season the run game and defense ended it without needing Allen. Thats not a problem for us it is for the Bills future opponents. Defenses are still unwilling to over commit to stopping the run. A few tendency breakers and the offense can look more explosive. James Cook had 81 yards on 10 carries in the first quarter. Keep running it and forcing them to stop it. It was not as flashy as Daboll 25 straight passes to start a game. This was art by Brady. 19 for 219 is College type numbers. That helps the passing game. Everyone is terrified of Allen and the Bills are murdering people with Cook. Cooks metrics even in losses has pointed to more use not lack of effectiveness.
  11. Maye is playing good. Not elite or flashy but good. Vrabel is a very good coach. Has the team believing and playing hard. They also have and will experience positive game script. Once the game script changes I'm not sure they have enough to sustain. Mac Jones beat the Bills multiple times too. I expect the next meeting to look like the other times Allen played them in a got to have it spot.
  12. No. Im fully confident Allen will catch fire and play like an Alien. Ideally, that isn't needed and doesn't happen until the playoffs. I understand the wr question but winning with Allen doing next to nothing is ideal at the moment.
  13. Once his gas tank/conditioning is dialed in he needs to be on the field. Too smooth and sticky to have him on the bench.
  14. Bills are at best running down hill in heavy sets. Brady needs to create an explosive passing game off these looks. Not 40,50, 60 yard passes. Consistently scheme open 20 to 25 yard passes. Still running majority under center and passing out of Gun. I understand the idea to hold it. Years past they empty it vs KC. Do they do that again?
  15. The indication around Brady is he is being pushed by Pegula. I brought this up because if Pegula is that high on Brady he is someone to watch depending on how the season ends.
  16. Agreed but before now wasn’t thinking about that being Brady.
  17. Penn State insider published story. Brady’s name has been floated around the last few weeks for the Penn State opening. Rumor is that Brady was getting pushed by Terry Pegula. As a board of trustees member Pegula has some say. I thought this is interesting with respect to the Bills. Mcdermott doesn’t seem as bullet proof. Without Ben Johnson Brady is likely the next hot OC in football. He is getting mixed reviews currently, but if Buffalo moved on from Mcdermott it seems Brady would be Pegula’s preferred choice. I haven’t given much thought about that scenario but it doesn’t seem far fetched.
  18. Get right get right 38-10. Bills come out fast on both sides Td, 3 and out, Touchdown, Turnover and Touchdown. Cook gets another 100. Kincaid has a massive game.
  19. Bigger guy but with some wiggle. Spamming fade routes isnt the answer. He isn’t getting the calls. Allen doesn't have a great back shoulder either.
  20. He drafted Coleman, traded for Cooper, signed Palmer. Not to mention Moore and Samuel. I think Palmer was poised to have a break out game and he was injured mid game with a thin room. I think Beane goes down his path of a day 2 pick for a wr. Busted with Benjamin and Cooper but would try to get one out NO. Shaheed or Olave would fit vert well imo.
  21. 3rd time is the Charm. Shaheed or Olave. Would pay more for Olave. Meyers is not much different than what is here. Waddle would be a priority but doubt they trade him in division with another game later in the year.
  22. Sal must have deleted his initial post. In my feed Sal and Joe were at the same time opposite. Sal must of combined the Hoech and Ogunjobi news with Jones and Palmer 🤷🏻‍♂️.
  23. https://x.com/salsports/status/1981032152562008116?s=46 seems the opposite of Joe. Which one is it.
  24. Alot at once. I think a base defense with Hoecht, Benard, Thompson, Johnson, Bishop helps the run defense on early downs. Overall, Johnsons strengths and at times alignments are that of a box safety. Imo Mcdemott’s strength at defense was with two high safeties. My biggest question would be Johnson deep Third. Playing quarters and 2 safety mitigates those concerns. Also offer the flexibility to play single high with Johnson on the slot. Secondary needs juice. Sitting Rapp and keeping Poyer out of rotation is only avoided imo by moving Johnson. Johnson is the OG of the room make him the table setter at safety.
