I disagree with every one of these. Including 13 secs. 1. 13 seconds. The kickoff can be debated. With a little under 2 mins left the secondary was up and Hill took a crossing route 70 yards for a touch down. On the next play are you calling the same defense that just gave up 70? You are playing off. 2. You pay Allen 250 mil because numerous times he has gotten into field goal range in absurdly fast fashion. Lions game, Dolphins game. I would fire Mcdermott on the spot if in that moment or one similar he takes the ball out of Allens hand. 3. Kick wins the game. Prater has the leg and career of making them. Draw back they have 23 secs to go 60 yards. Positive you win the game. Maybe go for it with Allen. At that moment I think Prater making it was slightly higher probability than the offense converting. KC and Spags are tops in the league in those situations. Vs the best teams go for the win every time.

I dont really buy into any of this. The Chiefs are 3rd in their division. That 4th and 17 play and play call tells you everything you need to know about how important this game was to them. Never ran that play before. If they don't pick up that first down they knew the game was over. Defense was dead. No different than years past. Making 1 more play than Buffalo doesnt make them these masterminds that coach circles around em. Two years ago missing their top 2 linebackers and safety, last season missing their top cb impacted those games most.

Asante Samuel Jr, cleared to play, talking to teams

Dalton Kincaid playing like a top 5 Te makes the current offense sustainable and explosive. Shakir and the Wr fit it around him and the run game.
-
Hairston, Bishop and Hancock are the future and present. Benford and Taron will benefit from their play. The secondary all of sudden is athletic and multiple again. White and Poyer deserve alot of credit for their play as of late and presence in the room to get the young guys to the level they are at.
-
What makes Hoecht unique is he has athleticism but was a DT in college and is able to win with power inside. Having smaller guys using speed makes it easier to wash them and create a rushing or passing lane. His presence in the lap makes a forward escape less likely or appealing.

Bills offense -- first in the NFL in yards per game
Mat68 replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
Two dimensional offense. Cook and Allen give Buffalo the best running game in the NFL. Brady and Kromer are multiple in scheme of runs. Like yesterday. Like the Chiefs, defenses have to account for it. That opens up the play-action game. Kincaid is looking like the passing game threat he was drafted to be. This is not a drop back 35-40 times team anymore. That is ok. -
I dont see Miami sending anyone to Buffalo for them to get styled on by them Sunday. I would take a hard run at Olave and lesser extent Shadeed. I would ask Washington about Frankie Luvu. Little more linebacker than pass rusher but imo is best as a blitzer/pass rusher. Call me crazy but I like Bishop with Poyer/Hancock. Getting Hancock up to speed adds speed and versatility the defense needs. DT comes down to the status of Jones and Sanders going forward. If both can return this month I think I hold off.

I think Franki Luvu could fit into the Hoecht role tomorrow. Little less power than Hoecht but brings the juice. 29 so not a core piece for the future for them.

Week 9, Chefs v. Bills, PREDICT THE SCORE!
Mat68 replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
Bills win. 27-18. Run game is real. Allen takes advantage of some blitz looks early. Mahomes is the leading rusher for KC. He is bottled up and frustrated. The Bills rise up when counted out. Home underdogs to a team with a worst record. Win doesnt matter nationally because they always beat em in the regular season. -
I dont think Mitchell is worth it. Proof of concept with Thomas Jr. The Hunter news makes Thomas untradable .
-
Coleman and a 3rd for Thomas Jr. Both could benefit with a change of scenery.

Rehab at the team facility. Be in the meetings and in the building. Once healthy better equipped to get on the field. Sal explained it when he signed.

Game week thread - Chiefs at Bills (Video preview on pg. 19)

Give me Thompson at the Mike with Bernard at the Will. Milano in sub packages. Fun game. Big game. Both teams need it. Cook has hurt the Chiefs a lot in recent memory. A few more shotgun sets for him this week. Get him on a LB in space. I think the Bills match up very well against the Chiefs on both sides of the ball. -
Let’s see if he has any juice. I have questions if he does.
-
He is a suitable replacement for Palmer. I dont think he really impacts the offense overall. I wouldn't go much more than a mid day 3 pick.
-
Then he isn’t the player I thought he was. Im making that bet 100 out of 100 times. Like Brady before him. Like Elway when he finally won. Take the borden of great off Allens shoulders. Thats what is happening. When he is it elevates the team to new heights. Years past he was required to be great to sustain. Cook is having an All time season and that is being under appreciated. Would a trade for a wr be great? Yes. Will it determine the outcome of the season? No. Is a 1 year rental for Shaheed worth a day 2 pick? No. Will NO take a day 3? Idk. Allen plays a bit better. Kincaid gets more healthy. I expect the offense to be great and Allen has some massive games in him.
-
I have little issue or complaint with the offense. In a pick your poison proposition Im fine with a conservative passing attack paired with an efficient run game. When the run game is the focus of the defense I fully believe Allen can and will be as explosive as ever. Sure a few things fall the right way this past Sunday Buffalo wins 42-6 Cook rushes for a few less yards and the offense sits the 4th quarters. Allen has 2 throws and 2 decisions he wants back. In a game that is pretty standard for every qb. Seems more glaring with only 19 attempts thats a quarter of the decisions. I think moving past Milano, Rapp and White are all positives. Walker, Harriston and Hancock look good. A healthy Shaq Thompson may be the biggest pleasant surprise. Keep him at mike with Benard at the will. Milano strictly on the passing downs. I don't want to peak before Halloween. They are figuring things out on defense. I think the passing game is very close. Getting this thing tightened up for a run is what has happened for the last 3 years. What the Patriots used to do. What the Chiefs have done. I have no doubt it doesn't happen again.

More Hoecht, Harriston, Hancock and Thompson on defense. Buffalo moved Kc around last season. Curious how they answer. Kincaid, Knox, Johnson and Cook imo will be heavily involved in the passing game. Gonna be hard fought 4 quarter game. I think Buffalo is better than most and show it Sunday. -
The Bills are 5-2 solidly in the hunt for the 1 seed. Best rushing attack in football coming off the defenses best performance. Both Hancock and Harriston flashed and should be used more going forward. Friday before week 1 I told you they are 5-2 playing the Chiefs who are 5-3. Cook is playing better than a healthy Saquan, Henry and Mccaffery. Allen has a higher completion percentage than 24. Is on pace for more Passing yards and TDs. Both Harriston and Hoecht flashed in their debut on defense. Would you take that? Everyone would
-
Agreed. Low volume makes normal passing game miscues stick out more. He will miss a few than make 10 in a row. Gotta just be happy with a historic rushing day by Cook. It’s like saying Cook didnt run enough if Allen threw for 500 yards. Brady wants a balanced attack so he can hammer a mismatch or tactical advantage. He was the OC vs the Rams, Ravens and Lions. If they can attack outside, inside, down the field, over the middle, or underneath they will.
