Idk. Bedford is going to be most expensive. Likley the hardest to get to the finish line.
-
Imo both are more explosive. I think they have potential to be #1 WR. I do not see that with Embuka . Maybe I’m wrong and he is Jefferson or Thomas playing with Chase and Nabers. I think he is a 2 in the NFL. In the first rd even late would want more at whatever position. If they draft him I would be ok with it. He isnt a bad player.
-
First rd I would want a player with more potential. Luther Burden or Golden. If they are drafted higher ok. Late second the options at wr are the same to Embuka. Higgins, Elamoyer(sp), or Restrepo imo are in the same tier and im probably leaving a few out. I think DT, DE and DB will have higher ceiling players available. I can see the idea of waiting because the dline class is deep. I would rather have a higher impact player there vs the typical rotational pieces.

Another one - Trey Hendrickson asks for a trade from Cincy

They are cutting money to pay Chase imo. Chase is Burrows best friend and a must get done. Higgins I doubt. Yes, and they have just tried to run it back every year. With weaker versions of themselves each season getting worst. -

I dont agree about the dirty part. Dawkins said be is one of the toughest to go against and spoke highly of him. I think he would give him that praise if he was dirty. -

Of all the names this has been the most realistic. Id prefer him over a WR. Cincy is keeping guys to make Burrow happy and cutting corners on defense. -
Thoughts about older draft eligible players?
Mat68 replied to OldTimer1960's topic in The Stadium Wall
Most part yes. Porter changed positions so less extreme. Imo potential is a prerequisite for a day 1 or day 2 pick. Physical metrics bench marks and production too. Most cases there is not much juice left in the fruit. They are who they are. Whether you see them as a starter, backup, or bottom of the roster that is the peak. Scheme fit is critical to get that level out of them. So scheme limits who can draft them. Team needs limits who will draft. That all results in them dropping lower than what their possible impact could be. Contract wise you dont want to extend someone who has already played their best football. You are paying for more. Guys you think are 1 contract go later. I think this is my position with Cook. He was drafted early for his running and catching ability. He also had an insanely low work rate at GA. Has about the same amount of carries combined college and NFL right now as guys being drafted in 25. Only 2 season of primary back load lends to his best still infront of him. -
Jags release Christian Kirk, seems like a Billsy move
Mat68 replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
5’11 I would consider average. Not Mckenzie, Beasely and Brown small. 3 guys who can play anywhere. Assume in man situations one of them would have to have a favorable matchup to exploit. Not a number 1 but solid wr who is dependable. Attended Allens Bachelor party?? Thats the rumored outing? Beyond a splash move him paired with a rookie improves the room. -

I think Slayton is grossly over rated. Garbage time merchant. Over 5 mil a year is insane to me. People normalizing paying him 15 a year and insulted by Cook asking for 15 makes 0 sense to me. -
If they are not able to make a splash move at Edge. Cut Miller and go with an early pick and Bosa at edge is ok to me.
-
This screams. Please someone offer us a 1st. I believe a 3rd is the best they got so far. I would offer 61 for Metcalf plus their first day 3 pick.
-
Answer is the Gronkowskis lol
-
The last part is what all contracts are. Give the agent the 15 avp win. Give buffalo the cap space and flexibility that is really a 2 year deal instead of 4. I dislike the idea of a lateral move with day 1 or day 2 picks. They need to enhance the roster not maintain it. Moving Cook hurts one of the team strengths.
-
Maybe. With no Diggs and Dell now getting knee surgery it is def a need for them. As a two it makes complete sense. With Shakir and Coleman I dont see the fit as much. I like Colemans upside more. I think he could be what Nico Collins is now in a year or 2. It took him a few years too. If Embuka was there at 30 and Buffalo did draft him I would not hate it just not my first choice. Same with Coleman last season.
-
I get it. I don't understand pounding the table for him is all. A fairly large group of guys would need to be gone before im going with him at 30.
-
I think he and Shakir could be interchangeable at slot and Z. One in the slot other the Z. Both can play either. Wouldnt be my first choice but would a priority if a big move is not to be made.
-
Priority 1. Garrett 2. Parson 3. Hendrickson 4. Metcalf I would still look at edge first. 1 and 2 seem unlikely. If i could get Hendrickson I would. I think the ball should already be in motion. If no real ground is made I would pivot to Metcalf immediately.
-
I disagree. Gotta play by the rules your competition is playing. The Eagles have a better roster because they spend 300 mil more cash then Buffalo. That is the weapons Buffalo is lacking and the non existent pass rush. Extent Cook at the lowest possible cap hits for 25 and 26. Provide the space required to swallow a vet salary that is traded for. After 26 NFL has an out in multiple Media deals. A re-up will sky rocket the cap in 27 and beyond.
-
Agreed. Put Coleman in the role Hollins played. With depth of the Defensive line class i am good with adding 2 lineman early.
-
That doesn't sound like a first rd Wr. How is he different then a host of other day 2 day 3 type? Solid pro. Wont be elite or has wr 1 potential.
-
He can ask what the tag is. With his current year and void years they can manipulate the cap for it to be less than the tag would be. I dont care what the Bills spend moneywise. Capwise it’s easier and less of a cap hit to swallow now if tagging him is an option. I could careless less if Buffalo saves 4.7 mil over 3 years when his cap will likley be higher and more difficult to maneuver during. It’s Ralph cash to the cap *****. They have a unicorn at Qb go all in every year until he is done. Unwilling to get aggressive with void years is a cop out.
