Preseason Week 2 - Post Updates Here

I give Allen all the joint practice reps and sit him out the preseason game. Maybe an appearance vs Tampa. ( I’m going to that game). -
Rams extend RB Kyren Williams - 3-year, $33 million

Its like saying instead of breaking a 60 yard TD its better he goes 7 carries for 67 and runs one in from the 4. -
Structure it in a way that saves camp this season. Cap increases next season. Having the best qb edge combo in the league and in there primes is absolutely worth it.
-
They played a 210 saftey at mike. They ran duo at the mike all game. Is he better than Rousseau vs the run absolutely not. Is he on par with everyone else on the roster vs the run? Yes. He would bring an absolute difference maker in the pass rush. Get Mahomes, Burrow and Jackson on the ground. Play a banged up oline and have a guy get multiple sacks.

0 chance. If he was holding out for that he was poorly instructed. Schefter making it sound like the Bills and Cook are close the Rams wanted this done before Cooks. -
I completely disagree. How excited is the staff about Heocht? Parson is that type of player times 10. Vs Baltimore. Ok leave him un blocked and just have him key Lamar. AFC championship game vs a banged up oline he is a guy who can take that over by running around the guard who is playing tackle. Thats what he can bring.

That is now 2 national insiders NFL network Pelisero said the same thing Sunday.

I disagree. Making a deal with a locker room favorite does nothing but boost moral. He was drafted, developed and performed. Those guys have been paid. Negotiating in a vacuum is foolish. Splitting hairs over a million or a million and a half isnt changing a players evaluation. Thats all it is asset evaluation. Player is valued at X. Player thinks he is worth Y. Where is the market heading? What would need to spent to replace the asset? Late rd 2 pick who has out performed his draft position. Would be looking at drafting a rb in the first to middle of rd 2 to get equivalent production. Open market puts him between 12.5 to 15. Jones, Jacobs, Taylor and Henry. Cook younger, less usage(wear) and less injury history. Based off draft capital and current market imo resigning him is the best option. Keeps the offensive strength outside of Allen intact. Opens draft capital to attack roster deficiencies vs chasing previous production.

5 mil away per year isnt close. 13.5 to 15 is really nothing. Creates cap space this year. Talking vet minimum salary.
-
If it is close just push it across the line and move along.
-
Cook isn't the type to just 180 his whole mindset. This makes it seem they are close to an extension and it a curtesy to him to hold him out of practice until its done. Not a lie that its business that is keeping him off the field. He is a direct quiet guy. Maybe im being overly optimistic. Or , or its like a baseball/basketball move and the Bills are in trade talks with Dallas for Parsons and Cook is involved. The last part is less likely. The Cowboys are a dumpster and that news would be leaked already.

Cap space. Beane could pull some levers on contacts and trade 1 of a handful of players to make the money work. I dont think Jerry trades him. I would offer him his Hershel Walker trade.
-
Jerry likes the attention. Jerry likes putting the injury risk on the player up until the last second possible. I think its the wrong way of looking at it. Paying Dak, Ceedee and Parson early is 2 - 3 solid NFL starter salaries cap wise.
-
Yes to scary Terry. I know Diggs didnt work. I know Mclaurin is 30. He elevates the passing attack. Flip Epenesa and some picks for him. 3 year deal. Push to get more explosive. Push to get over the hump.
-
After watching Kyle Allen, and thinking of Trubisky/White/Bruechel. 2026 is expected to be a very deep Qb draft. How early are you ok with drafting a backup? 4th? Higher? Lower?
-
They dont want that guy imo. They want penetrators and guys who have some pass rush ability. Walker is massive but has the chops to penetrate.
-
I think before Halloween he is beside Oliver out the tunnel. Walker seems like a guy being built up. Sanders is a guy they are trying to challenge. Mcdermott wants the guy to be the complete package before given a big role as a rookie.
-
You dont trade up for him in rd 2 if the plan is not for him to play alot and hopefully replace Jones in the starting lineup. Babich is pushing Sanders to the moon. Right now he is easily the best option for the spot behind Oliver. If he can play 1T. A tougher position schematically, its a home-run. Sanders watching Jones tape, Babich acknowledging his talent but also dismissing it are signs of a guy being coached hard. Sanders has spoke with confidence about playing and having a role right away. I would not be shocked if Sanders starts next to Oliver sooner than later. With Walker as the back up 3 tech.
-
The scheme forces a double on the 1T to create 1 on 1s at the other 3 spots. Jones imo is the perfect player for Sanders to study behind. Jones is still a m’fer inside but come January his legs are shot imo.
-
Every DT over 6-5 plays high. Scouting community imo has a hard time with him because they want him to be a two gap space eater. He fits the style of DT Buffalo prefers. The key will be clean up his weight a bit and manage his back. Much more Jordan Phillips than Star Lutilaio. He has a chance to make those type of splash plays.

I like the physicality it seems Coleman is bringing. He has a chance to be a good one.

He is wildly underrated. His draft status impacts his perception. He is who fans and media think Sauce Gardner is.

Different expectations. Walker is fight to make the rotation. Sanders is fighting to be the starter. Walker needs to be a grizzly bear a handful of times a game. Today Sanders is more physically gifted than Daquan Jones. The areas he needs to catch up to Jones are in technique and the mental aspect of the game. Hence the comment he has all the god given gifts(Sanders). The league is filled with talented guys.
