  1. Offense Qb. Fitz, Bledsoe, Orton Rb, Lynch, Jackson, Spiller WR Evans, Johnson, Price, Woods, Watkins TE Chandler, Royal OT Peters, Glenn, Jennings OG Incognito, Levitre, C Wood Defense Edge Williams, Schobel, Kelsay DT Adams, Dareus, LB Cowart, Fletcher, Spikes CB Clements, Winfield, Mcgee S Byrd, Whitner, Wilson I think Allen is such a difference at Qb. The current roster has a better Oline and think are close everywhere else.
  2. First need to put the All Draught team on paper. Players who played in the playoffs on the Bills are they disqualified? Kyle Williams, Mccoy, Moulds, Tyrod? Imo they dont count because they technically ended the draught or were part of previous success.
  3. Have they? Mahomes, Allen, Lamar, Burrow re upped. They don't get it no one does. During and after the Watson grievence for colliding the NFLPA should have had a league wide meeting explaining the collusion and pushed the narrative with the top players to get fully guranteed contracts. The NFLPA failed the players and worked to keep it quiet. The NFLPA showed they are a shame and a kangaroo court for the owners to push the rules they want while avoiding antitrust regulation. Im only a fan as well. Just wild the story has become. Its the weakest union in pro sports. It’s also the most lucrative league. Chet Holmgren got 250 guaranteed. Diffetent sport but fragile and often injured. Unless you severely break your leg in multiple places there are not career ending injuries.
  4. 100% NBA and MLB both stopped seasons to get what they wanted. Both greatly impacted the popularity of both. NFL is in a spot at the top and a false move would have negative impact. Players should hold out for guaranteed contracts no offset. Give up an extra game and 16 international games a year. Probaly need to give a percentage point or 2 to the owners.
  5. Imo they always have and that is why the NFL players have the worst contract structure of every pro league.
  6. My counter is the sport isnt played and managed in a vaccuum. Resources are limited. They have invested more into the TE and Wr rooms than RB. Now where limited resources come in. Remove positions who performed and produced the best last season comparable to the league. Allen, Dawkins, Browns, Mcgovern, Benford and without question Cook. Shakir and Bernard were extended but did not have the production Cook had. At a point you need good players. Today Cook is a better NFL back than Shakir is an NFL wr. Even with a Contract to Cook he wouldnt be the highest paid none qb on the offense or make Rb the highest paid positional group. So in terms of positional hierarchy rb would still be slotted appropriately. Without a true number WR or elite TE. Cooks value to the current roster is very high.
  7. Vanpelt year. At the Sunday night game vs Tennessee. They won but I knew they were not going anywhere. Can’t remember if that was the Elvis Gerback, Billy Joe Holbert year or if that was the following.
  8. All that I said is well and good, Superbowl Sunday im handing Allen the ball and going through him. Maybe pull out some plays where he is a decoy early. Come out passing to set up the run game later. Get them going left and right with naked action and motion going away from Allen. Im 100% confident Allen carries the Bills to a Super Bowl like Farve and Rodgers. That Rodgers Super Bowl win he just was on fire and the Steelers knew the plays jumped the routes and it didnt matter. Allen will do that when he gets his shot.
  9. I saw another post about the running game limiting Allens mistakes. That and this is 100% right. Allen can do this once or twice a game and it is what makes him unstoppable. Those plays dont sustain offense. Look at the years Manning, Brees, Big Ben and other Qbs on offensive led teams had poor run games and defenses. They would have years at the top of the league in ints. Its not rocket science. They have to do more. They have to fit that window, they take the 50/50. 2/10, 3/10 plus its what you have to do. 2nd 6 and under, 3-5 and under is a different sport. I go back to Sean Payton talking about his best seasons with Brees. When as a play caller he was able to limited the times Drew had to drop back and be great. For Allen the fewer amount of times he needs a cap the better. Hand off, screens, sight quick passes. Vs this coverage this guy is open here. Those are what makes a good OC. That is what Brady is doing. Not a surprise he is from Paytons tree. The opposite is what Dorsey did and what Daboll did at the end. Allen is so good it is easy to put it all on him. But really you need to work harder to take more off of him. So when he is great it elevates the offense instead of sustains it.
  10. Better shape than he has been in. Look at Brady even Allen do not have body builder physique. Little shorter than both so Mahomes is going to have to eat to stay at his weight.
  11. His play design is good. The scheme works for the most part. I think being an OC and being managed himself would do wonders. Basiclly, he learned 2 jobs on the job at the same time. I think he has alot potential as an OC. HC will always be a tough ask.
  12. Positional coach becoming a head coach. Players friend instead of leader. Super smart guy with a smart offense. As a play caller doesnt hold anything back similar to younger Reid. By October he used all his new stuff. Biggest ego on the team is Hill and the offense pacifies him. Gotta get him his shots. Unable to get players to show up on time. Fangio tried to do something about it but backed the players instead? Guy is not leader. Should be a well paid OC imo.
  13. He was an early enrollee. Hence the semester before his freshman season. Also, why he was a minor at the time. I would advise him to settle. Doesn’t matter if he is guilty or not. He put himself in the position regardless. Its a PR issues that will cost more the longer it goes.
  14. The Cincinnati game imo was more similar to a lower level of football. Highschool or College that the team that brings more energy wins. In pro football energy is never an impact unless it’s week 18 and vaction is set. With the blizzards and dealing with Hamlin, Buffalo simply ran out of emotional gas. Cincy came in with their hair on fire. They felt wronged by the Hamlin game results. Buffalo didnt have the capacity to match. I wouldnt state it as quitting or something coaches could have changed. Just was all they had. Chiefs game was due to a poor oline. The dline over haul by Buffalo was because they were not able to take advantage of it. I think Buffalo offense would have created problems for the Eagles defense. I think the Eagles offense would have been a complete miss match vs that Bills defense. Would have been one of the highest scoring Superbowls ever imo.
  15. Not wrong. Also, it is very much 2000’s Patriots type offseason. Bosa needs to plays 3-4 games in January and Feb. Tre White in the AFC championship game wont throw up on himself like Elam did. Is White who he was? No. Is he better than what was on the field in January in KC? Yes. Added athletes in the secondary and size on the dline. Have a few young guys as the lead pass catchers. Palmer does what they dont. Moore is the type of player that has succeeded with Allen. Mind you last season Philly besides a modest deal for Barkley, Baun was the best signing and was signed to a prove it deal and was up for DPOY. Those types of FA win games and Championships. They reuped both Barkey and Baun this offseason with massive pay raises.
  16. Deep throws, homerun balls at the level of Allen and Kelly are 99.9% due to the wr. Before Randy Moss, James Lofton was the best deep ball wr of all time. Andre Reed is the greatest wr in franchise history. Best deep ball wr Allen played with was Jon Brown? Diggs was great here but much more intermediate than a deep threat. Is Tua a better passer over 20 yards compared to Allen or does Hill and Waddle come down with his arm punts? Tua has been tops in the league since Hill and before he was in Miami Mahomes was the best with Hill.
  17. Whaley was the guy pounding the table for Mahomes “allegedly”. What human in the position Mcdermott was in goes qb with a the scouting department getting changed?
  18. I think you only do that for a sure thing on offense. Shannahan and Mcvay would really be the only ones worth it imo. Too big of a gamble for a first time head coach. Way more to HC than play calling. Idk how willing Pegula would be in making a move of that nature. The systemic change in culture, the draft capital and money required would be too rich imo. Though another year not making it to the final Sunday I would be open to drastic moves. Is Mcdermott Dungy or Ried or is he Marty Shottenhimer?
  19. I wouldn’t bet my career with Whaley. Yes, Mahomes is great. Using the capital gained from that trade was used to get Allen. That is a wash. Mahomes wasnt setting records with Charles Clay, Andre Holmes, Kelvin Benjamin, Zay Jones and Robert Foster. Its a butterfly affect that will never play out, but Mahomes doesnt come to Buffalo with Reid, Kelce and Hill.
  20. Sensitive? Idk about that. Passionate for sure. Comparing Beane to Veach he hasnt won enough. Comparing Beane to the previous 20 plus years before his arrival its night and day. Building a consistent playoff team and contender is not the norm. Cincy made a run and have been going in reverse since. 49ers and Rams have been really good and really bad. Chiefs, Ravens, and Eagles are the closest to Buffalo in consistency over the past 6 years. They also have been well run franchises for over a decade. Beane and Mcdermott don't get the national credit they deserve. Turning a NFL wasteland franchise to a top 5 Superbowl contender annually. Mcdermott is always on the positive side of analytics. As a defensive coach he gave the ball and franchise to a young Allen and let him go. Was using cover 4 and 2 deep safety for as long as Fangio but he doesnt get any of the credit for it. Not winning the ultimate prize diminishes their historical impact nationally. Beane carries that with him. When doing interviews that can come out.
  21. Mcdaniel hated Giesicki due to his blocking. Wait til he gets a load of Waller 😂😂🤣. Should have paid Jonnu. Very good fit in the system. Able to play the Juszczyk or Kittle role in the scheme. Dolphins look to be heading towards an implosion imo.
  22. It’s what helps keep the fans engaged. During the draught it was fantasy. Now with Buffalo playing all time slots. Makes the other games more exciting. Full Sunday slate leading into the Bills game is an absolute treat to watch. Little fantasy football, little daily fantasy and a little prop or parlay helps build into the Bills game. That is why stand alone games get so many views compared to everything else. That little more excitement added to an already exciting sport only helps its viewership. The books working with leagues makes the ability of players or league employees to make money off it extremely difficult. Likelihood of a scandal is very low. Yes, gambling can be an issue for some. No different than drinking or smoking.
  23. My Stefanski rant. Stefanski doesn't get nearly enough blame for dropping Mayfield in the trash for playing through a shoulder injury. Putting all the blame on Baker for the lack of success that season opened the door for the Watson debacle. How he is able to look like the savior while also creating the problem is disgusting to me. Baker has played as a top 5 qb for the past two seasons. Stefanski ran him off. He needs to wear that but he is some how a sympathetic figure.
  24. Look what Mcvay did going from Geoff to Stafford. I would see that 10 fold with Allen and Kyle. I promise Kyle would kill for a guy like Stafford or Allen. Mcvay was at the same villa in Cabo or Stafford is likley a 49er. Thats why they gambled on Lance. They were looking for a guy who could attack all parts of the field. If Buffalo had a better play action game Allen would pass for 5,000 yards with the current run game they have.
  25. I completely disagree. Allen is a very good precision passer. When nothing is available he makes plays out of structure. Earlier in his career when pressing he would rely on that too much. What makes Shannahan and Mcvay top of the top is their ability to scheme open guys. Yes, Allen would have significantly better numbers throwing to more open wrs. What has limited Shannahan in the playoffs and big games is what the Qbs do when the windows arent as big and the reads are not as easy. That is what Allen has made his career on. Limiting the amount of times Josh needs a cape is the job of the OC. The better ones he needs it less the worst ones he needs it more. End of Daboll and Dorsey he needed the cape most plays. With Brady he needs its less and with Shannahan he would need it even less but throwing a bit more.
