  1. He was very good. For a few years around the 4-5th best WR in football with Allen. That offense was hell on wheels. He was a monster. As a fan I cant be mad at how he ended. Seems like the point was how are we going to win it all by doing the same thing.
  2. Majority of the guys playing and playing poorly wont play at all.
  3. Im little surprised and optimistic about Coleman sitting out with the starters. Him sitting and Palmer playing is an interesting development. I think Palmer was expecting to come in and be a focal point of the offense. Im not sure thats the case. Coleman seems to be running away with the top role at WR.
  4. Putting the guys fighting for roster spots in sink or swim positions. Yes, they wanted the players to rise to the moment and win the game. More importantly they know what they have and dont have in some players. At this point that is more important.
  5. I like him more than Moore.
  6. Samuel is already practicing. Moore isnt worth the roster Gymnastics. Samuel is a larger more dynamic player than Moore.
  7. No. Bears had 12 Bills had 10 I think.
  8. Mitch will win an ugly game but win. Mike White is a 3rd qb. PS 3rd Qb. I want Buffalo to draft a day 3 qb simply to make the pres season watchable again.
  9. The ones he dropped when he was open. This is Moore since Ole Miss. He creates separation there is always a but. His qb play… His usage. At the end of the day his catch percent of his targets is mid 50%. Similar to players that have roughly double his depth of target. It’s not always something else. At a point after 4-5 years it is him. For a guy who is fight for a role its not great. Yes getting separation is half the equation. Making the play is the other half. For an underneath pass catcher his consistency is not what you want. Those drops are what has plagued his career.
  10. Still got to take advantage of the opportunities when getting them. This has kind of been the story of his career.
  11. Imo the staff did a good job of putting players on islands. Guys fighting for roster spots or roles in sub packages. The spring(shirt short) darlings got full run and most faltered. I think going into game 3 the battles are nearing a close like it should. Not sure much can happen now to change the order of the depth chart. Curious if Mcdermott plays the starters like a traditional game 3 with the extra week leading up to week 1. With the bottom players already sinking or swimming.
  12. Dane Jackson, Codrington and Mike White I think played themselves to PS at best. Buffalo Joe is in all sorts of trouble. For as athletic and instinctive he is moving forward he is the opposite when moving backwards in pass defense. Dorian Williams is better at what Joe is good at. Seems like 2 deep is Benard, Milano, Williams and Shaq Thompson. Joe is now in the fight with Ulifossio and surprisingly Jenkins for a roster spot imo. Hamlin is a drop Zone saftey. I doubt the staff trusts Hancock more than him just yet. I think Hancock looks the most natural in the hybrid safety role that Hyde once played. His total feel for the scheme isn't quite there yet. But man he is coming.
  13. This seems pretty fair. I go with Ingram over Jackson if Hairston isn't ready week 1. Moore is on ultra thin ice. Samuel is expensive to cut. I dont think Moore has done enough to pass him.
  14. I think the starters starting the back ups backing up and the 3rd string on PS or cut will have a larger impact on success.
  15. I dont expect him to be anything but a core teamer. That will get him a handful of offensive snaps a game. That type or wr will play on Sundays. Bond would need injuires for him to see the field.
  16. Andresson is in no mans land.
  17. This exposed alot of guys on the bubble. Shavers and Hancock are the only bright spots. White, Moore, Andresson and Bishop disappointed as guys looking to take a step forward. Bishop as a starter getting shook for a TD is tough. On the flip side WR3 should win vs a safety. Moore and White are looking to take spots as WR4 and QB2. Neither seems very likely imo. Joe looks less and less like an NFL linebacker. Too far behind in coverage ability. Ok on teams but at this point simply a core teamer. I think its a farewell to Codrington. Not a NFL corner. Played outside cb last year and nickel this year. Good at neither. Not dynamic enough imo to be a return specialist only. I think Shenault is live going into game 3 for a final roster spot. Return man who will play all teams with some juice to play offensive snaps.
  18. But Moore was included in this choice. If you’re playing with 2nd and 3rd strings you are considered as 2nd and 3rd string. Top 4 Coleman Shakir Palmer and Samuel. Moore has done nothing to leap frog Samuel. Imo top you dont need special teams ability in the top 4 after that you do. I have Shavers solid at wr 5. Question do you keep 6? Instead of Codrington Shenualt or Hamler for return duties. I dont want Codrington on the roster. I think Moore is firmly on the bubble. I havent seen anything that warrants him on the roster over Samuel. After that he doesnt offer anything to special teams to warrant a role. Looking at the financials cutting Samuel is pricey. Moore has not warranted that kind of investment.
  19. Shavers and Hancock are the preseason performers. Shavers should make the team. Hancock looks like a guy who will be on the field sooner than later. One thing about it this game exposed a lot of bubble guys as frauds. No way Codgrington makes the team. Andresson is a liability in coverage. Dane Jackson is slightly worst than I remember. Zack Davidson will never be more than a guy who pops in the spring. Elijah Moore needs to hope Samuel stays off the field. Can Buffalo finally draft a back up qb with some potential? Trubisky and White are not fun to watch play football.
  20. Today I would rather have Shavers. I like what he has done to make the team the past 2 preseasons. Fits the role outside. He will also be on most special teams units.
  21. Right. Bond is simply an outlier without the other things that made those outliers successful. Most of the elite players were dominate in college. If they are not the why needs to be compelling.
  22. Cook was still around 1,000 yards all purpose and over 10 tds. Extremely efficient player in an obvious time share. Aj Green and Pickens are freak shows. Ladd had injury issues in a not really prolific style of offense. Bond is not an athletic freak. Alabama and Texas have prolific offenses. Small fast guys are a dime a dozen. Oregon has had 1 every year for 10 years.
  23. Coleman, kincaid, Samuel, Moore, Shanult, and Hamler all more productive as college players. As a prospect he was a day 3 caliber prospect. He would be competing with Hamler, Shanult and Shavers for the last wr spot. Shanult and Shavers offer more on teams. Hamler is the better punt returner. Bond intriguing speed is really just that. Wont offer much on teams so if he made the 53 would not get a jersey and make the active 46.
  24. Anyone not named Allen and 2 1st rd picks. Jones 1st priority people talking about the Cowboys. 2nd priority his Ego. Distant 3rd how does it help them win. A trade can do number 1. But would need to happen the friday after the opener or Monday morning after week 1. Would Dallas need to win vs the Eagles without Parsons for a trade to meet priority 2? I think thats the window imo. Not being good but not signing Parson keeps the Cowboys on the air if the play on the field doesnt justify it.
  25. Waddle, Smith even Tez Johnson produced. Bond is fast. But not fast, fast. Not being productive in college is a massive red flag. He is basicly Kj Hamler without the college production and positive vibes. Little taller less good football player.
