2020 NFL Draft Round 2 and 3 Discussion.
Mat68 replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
A very good player is going to fall into Buffalos laps. Not having a desperate need allows them to go BPA. Looks like the player could be a first rated talent too. -
Bills could have their pick or top 3.
-
There are a handful of edge guys left. So far so good for them falling. Bills are setup very good at 54 with edge, db, and skill player.
-
Jefferson is a good wr. Is he better than Jon Brown outside? Is he better than Beasley inside? Idk. Diggs is better than both at both.
-
He is a 3 down back. He needs a back than can play any situation like himself. I feel confident with him getting a carry 2 and 10, 3 and 10, 4th and goal. He is so good at making the first man miss that he should be on the field when it matters. I think another talented back is needed to give him rest. You cant scheme and back a role in the offense over singeltary.
-
Manziel failing at a Qb is 1000% on the effort he put into being a NFL qb. It has 0.0000% to do to the talent he played with.
-
Isnt Jackson the tackle who did a bone marrow transplant for his sister 2 months before the season started? Year before he was much better. Heard he lost alot of strength because that procedure.
-
With Chassion still available I think Mcdermott is a little disappointed...
-
Manziel wasnt a professional. He partied his way out of the league. Tua wont do that imo. Maybe he gets hurt, most likley he is a hard worker and becomes a good player. Manziel was all potential no work ethic.

Gronk interested in coming back..to Tampa Update: Traded!

Watching the two largest Patriot fan heros plot their way out of NE makes me really happpy. They did that to us for the past 20 years. Hahaha. In Bill they trust? Or Bill they tar and feather. After "Last Dance" is Bill both parts Krause and Jackson at the same time? -
Which 6-8 players/positions will the Bills pay big money to?
Mat68 replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You could say the same about Jordan though. It only works at the premier player on the team though. Getting Mahomes before Dak signs for 35 to 40 mil is the move. Before Watson re ups. Some will take top 10.b Still a massive pay increase and signing bonus. 2 years at best or 4 years at worst before getting 20 to 25% more isnt smart imo. -
For a second assume Allen plays significantly better than a rookie. If Allen improves off last season and plays less reckless a day 2 pick on a Qb would be a waste. Allen is entering his prime. In a position where you can get another starter on the team you drafted a guy who will never help Allen win. Barring injury ofcourse. Ive stated in other threads im not against Buffalo taking any position besides kicker or punter day 2. Actively looking for a qb day 2 would create a massive reach. I think the best hedge bet you could make is Jalen Hurts. Year 1 could he beat out Allen or even Barkley? Probably not. As an athlete he could add a slash or Tasum Hill component to the offense if he is willing to play barring hes not the top qb. Thats a conversation worth having. Fromm, Eason or whoever seems likes an incrimental improvement on Barkley at best.

After watching the the Jordan Doc, I think the move is getting premium players signed early, gets them more money much quicker. It allows the team to bring the cost down during their primes. Edmunds and Allen are the only 2 I would consider this with. For me to do that the both have all pro/ voted in pro bowl quality seasons. I think the Bills are on the come up. Get them to extend a year early. If KC could have signed Mahomes before he won a Superbowl it would have cost way less money. -
At 54 the Bills will take? Your guess here!!

Tee Higgins. I think the quicker, smaller athletes win in the NFL. Those guys will get drafted first. Buffalo needs size and Higgins falls into their laps. He becomes the big slot and X in man situations. -

But money is finite. Edmunds is up for a renegotiate next year. Same with Allen. I think the long play is extend Edmunds and Allen early. Get them at 80 to 90 cents to the dollar vs 1.20 by waiting to the end. If Milano can add some size, and can slide to the mike in some syb packaging I would be more inclined paying him. I think Edmunds next step is being a pass rusher and moved around the formation week in and week out. -

1. Allen if he makes a jump this year. 2. White is the first of the new guys to reach his potenital and needs to be rewarded. 3. Morse was a needed presence to stabilize the offense. 4. Edmunds similar to Allen, he makes a jump in play he could be a peranial defensive player of the year. 5. Diggs already paid. If he becomes the number 1 everyone expects its a no brainer. Thats it right now. I think Oliver has a possibility. Dawkins and Milano are entering contract years and im inclined to let it play out. LT is a position that is a premier position. I think this is a critical time. Building around the right guys and paying for production and leadership. I think edge defender and OT are positions that need to be invested in the next 2 years. Dawkins maybe the guy, but idk if hes top 10, 15. If hes not dont over pay. -
If they dont get the back they want in rd 3 would they send a 4th? Thats the question. The Jaguars offense has been abysmal for a while. Every game make them win by throwing and put 8 or 9 in the box. Fournette with a third less usage may become more efficent. Singletary, Fournette and Yeldon is as good a backfiled as any.

My pick for the 2nd round - Jonathan Taylor
Mat68 replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think many will have him as their top backs. Usually 2 to 3 backs are drafted by 54. If 2 or 3 are drafted its a high probability Taylor is one of those draft. If he is available its a no brainer. I like Buffalos position in the draft. Getting Diggs for 22 puts them in a great spot to get a first rd rated talent at 54 also. -
There are multiple poor defenses. Get athletes to beat the other teams athletes. Not that Edmunds is older and understand the defense and his responsabilites I would move him around more. Rush end, man on a big slot, blitz, or coverage from the mike.
-
Lol. This is why defense as a whole in the NFL is falling behind offense. You can line him up anywhere. Create a role where you can make him the most disruptive.

Jamal Adams/Jets trade chatter starts back up

For Act 2. Gase alienates his top talent. Gets them traded for peanuts. After second losing season, Gase rolls the GM for lack of talent of the roster. -

If car dealerhips all over the country are open and figuring this out. No reason why the NFL can't in 4 months. -
Brandon Beane - Please Draft Offensive Playmakers
Mat68 replied to ColoradoBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They dont need to draft any position. With the depth of Wr and Rb. They will most likley be the highest rated players. -
Chase Claypool- I know you want to talk about him
Mat68 replied to NewEra's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Big Slot or X Wr with size would be a good addition to the offense.
