  1. It wasn't the training camp's fault the offseason was shortened, no need to be rude to it.
  2. But the real question on everyone's minds.....does PFF approve of him?
  3. Less thinking out loud, more research to know what you're talking about please. Knox is going to be our stud in an already deep TE group. We need other positions more.
  4. I'm really tired of the notion that we overpaid because BOB is an idiot. I'm not an idiot for only scoring 25% off on a TV just because someone else desperate for drug money sold their TV for 50% off. Without the Houston trade to warp perspectives, our trade is seen as an automatic win. End of story. What better deal do YOU think you could swing for a top 10 WR in the prime with several years left on their reasonable contract for your Super Bowl push? We gave up the 22nd pick, not a top 10, and mid to late round picks aren't worth as much as some people think. *edit* Sorry I know you like the trade, I'm just objecting to the part about it somehow being an overpayment while still saying it was a great trade. I still see it as a good deal for us, as I said it wasn't even a mid-high 1st.
  5. Oh darn, my collection of McCloud jerseys are going to be outdated...
  6. I'm not sure if you've heard, but there's this whole virus thing going around that seems to be disrupting normal procedures.
  7. We needed more of these original threads.
  8. Is this a real question? Must be one of those "I'm smarter than everyone else and see things you don't" types.
  9. I can't stress enough how important continuity is to an O-line. The whole line got blown up last year and I expect them to do better this season.
  10. Darn, I was hoping this was the end of the "hey I know that name let's get him" circus.
  11. Why spend draft capital to rent a backup for a year? Just use the pick to draft someone we can keep for several years on the cheap. We have our starter, no need to go after big names who won't stick around, will cost lots, or want to be the starter. If you want a two headed monster then use the 3rd round pick on a RB and see if he can hang with Singletary.
  12. I love watching people freak out over not landing perennial Pro Bowlers to be our third strings and special teamers. Some people aren't happy unless they're miserable.
  13. I was going to but... ...this guy beat me to it. I'll take the guy who consistently breaks 10-20 yarders. 0.5 more yards per carry is infinitely more valuable than someone who can "take it to the house" once or twice a year. Anyone can be a home run threat if they swing hard enough and are fine with striking out the other 99% of the time. Ugh..."playmakers"...I hate that lazy, nebulous word. We have Diggs, Brown, Beasley, Knox, and Singletary already. All very capable of "making plays". You sound like the type to never be happy unless every member of the roster down to the practice squad is an all pro elite player.
  14. Are you implying there was any substance to start with? I'm glad to see your insults are as original as your username. Wait a second, "buffalobill###" leaping to the defense of someone named "buffalobills####"...hmmm... My name is literally Bill but even my dumb rectum managed to not pick a name like a 14 year old making a burner account for a 1990s AOL sex chat. Yeah, he didn't specify. I'm not breaking out the good shizz if the OP can't be bothered to do the same.
  15. Are you just still hung up on his 40 time, or do you have some sort of actual basis for this hot take? General consensus is he proved himself a capable starter being top 5 in multiple metrics.
  16. I hate when the body of a thread is just..."Thoughts?"
  17. Godless heathens. Maybe the impending megaquake will take that devil sauce with it.
  18. There, we signed a Jefferson. Now people can stop pining to pick one up in the draft.
  19. Oh god, imagine if it was ranch instead. We'd all be dead.
  20. We traded the equivalent of the 18th pick for Diggs, which is still into the second tier of WRs (top 6 rather than top 3). Who could we have gotten that would have been as good as Diggs? Hell, who in the top 3 would be as good as Diggs? If anything we got a good deal. The Hopkins trade was just a bad deal by Houston, and can't reflect the value we got. Your neighbor scoring an amazing deal on a car from someone desperate to pay off loan sharks doesn't mean the car you bought at still below market value was a bad deal. Some might make a case for Cooper, but he was a top 5 pick and we weren't even in the same zip code of trading up that high with two 5ths and a 6th. Great deal.
  21. Oddball hot takes like this is probably why you should continue your average of posting less than 10 times per year.
  22. Comon dude, it's already been established that it's because he's a wizard. Possibly a warlock, but he seems to nice to be dabbling in the dark arts.
  23. With a new OL coach and basically no continuity from the year before, it was an acceptable and expected improvement from being 30th or whatever on offense. You could expect another improvement just from retaining those starters (and now second year players rather than starting rookies), but we added Diggs. Chill.
  24. Catches went down by I think 39 last year but yardage actually went up. Jumped from 10.0 ypc to 17.9 ypc.
