  1. Better locker room and coach here. He'll see the light.
  2. I'll be saying wow we got him for ONLY basically the 22nd pick, a 5th, and a couple 3rd stringers we were cutting anyways.
  3. I hadn't even realized the 5th and 6th were really free money we got for nothing. We basically got a good #1 WR in their prime for the 22nd pick and a 5th. Beane really is a wizard.
  4. Someone in this thread is laughably wrong. Two 5ths and a 6th doesn't bump you up 14 spots in the 1st round. That's basically 5 spots each for 5th round picks and 4 spots for a 6th. Just not realistic. *edit* Wouldn't you still give the 8th pick for an established #1 in their prime with years left on their contract like Diggs, for your Super Bowl run?
  5. That's ok, he'll get to see Diggs instead.
  6. If every "flu season" has 30x the mortality rate of your current average flu, then yes shut it down. Take 5 minutes to look up how it's not actually, you know, the flu. It attacks your lungs and can leave them with permanent damage (if it doesn't kill you). *edit* Oh and unlike the flu, there is currently no available vaccine for it. You can help by downloading the Folding@Home program to lend your computer's spare processing power to run protein folding simulations to find better ways to attack the virus. Their focus right now is COVID-19, but they also run sims for drug resistant bacteria, Parkinson's, cancer, etc.
  7. Unlike the other failed leagues they have proper TV contracts that should keep them afloat.
  8. I read it as "Phins releasing 2 time Punt Blocker Reshad Jones".
  9. Some marketing/advertising firm probably got paid a million dollars to design that.
  10. Ok boomer. We'll just be over here enjoying not being miserable and seeing how CBD treats our incurable conditions.
  11. "They won't test for pot anymore, except for the time that they do." ...? I don't know about you, but I've never liked the idea of my employer having a say in what legal things I can do in my personal life. Kind of a big slippery slope type deal there.
  12. Thanks for proving my point, I knew you would try to go there. Your stat of 38% was from a poll that had NOTHING to do with the virus. "Another case in point: 38% of American beer drinkers surveyed this week said they wouldn't buy Corona "under any circumstances" at the moment." It was deliberately framed after the fact to dishonestly imply that the reason for not buying it was because of the virus. No, they just don't like or want that kind of beer. Actually look into the sources of your "stats" before cherry picking. "Lies, damn lies, and statistics" as they say. *edit* Literally one of the first things you learn in first year university statistics is how people with an agenda can and will manipulate a poll and twist the results thereof to support a preconceived notion. 38% of people didn't say "I think Corona beer transmits the virus", they just simply said "I won't buy the beer" and the people doing the poll used the vague wording of the poll to insert their own implications.
  13. Well 57% of Americans believe whatever made up stats they read on the internet from some clickbait article sourced from a manipulated/fake study.
  14. It was a legal lateral, and modern replay would confirm it as such.
  15. Oof, questionable non call on the goal line fumble. Guess close enough counts to keep game speed up.
  16. It's too bad "free agents don't want to go to Buffalo". This going to be an exciting year.
  17. He actually played the 4th quarter last weekend, probably because of said INTs. With the draft coming up, I really think the Bills should take a look at this Josh Allen kid. He's mobile and athletic so they should grab him before the XFL scoops him up.
  18. 3 year starters from pro style systems picking up the NFL faster than a 25 game junior project from Wyoming coming into a dumpster fire offense? Wild!
  19. I'm no expert, but I would imagine if you are developing a "raw" QB, it's best to take the safe bet in the reliability of good route runners than to focus on niche aspects of the game like oh this guy is fast and can chase down deep balls or oh this guy is tall and is good at jump balls/end zone fades. Both Brown and Beasley have helped Allen in this regard and under contract long enough to hold the line until Allen breaks out. This is an exciting FA/draft for me.
  20. Give him a break, he was handed a hot mess on offense and a bad cap situation, as well as a team stuck with the stigma of "players don't want to go there". He managed to at least get us to the playoffs twice after two decades of failure, and a winning record as a first time HC. Maybe because that's his job? And maybe, just maybe, he actually cares. Hmm, the way Oliver celebrated his first sack...almost as if he KNEW that's how we expected him to react! He's obviously a mole planted to tear down the organization from the inside. Truly diabolical.
  21. No. Every week 17 game matters exactly the same as every other week. If ONE of the other dozens of games on the schedule weeks 1-16 go differently, you're not saying that. Was the overtime snow thriller against Indy also cheap and backdoor? It's like saying of the $100 in my pocket, only the last dollar is worth the whole thing. Guess I can clear space in my wallet by throwing out the first $99!
  22. Fine, replace him with Pozluzny, I'm told he was just the bestest because he got ALL the tackles! ?
