Justin Herbert - fractured rib cartilage, day to day
Success replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
He has earned my respect. He took some real shots last night, and toughed it out until the end. Though, that 3rd down where he could have walked easily for a 1st - that was weird.... -
I hate to use the word "hate," because it's so negative. However....

‘It’s Over!‘: LeSean McCoy Rips Patriots Head Coach
Success replied to Scott7975's topic in The Stadium Wall
Belichick should not be their GM. I think he's still a decent coach - but he's doing good work for the Bills and the rest of the division with his failed drafts and overrated FA acquisitions. Underrated activity: perusing Pats message boards to see all of the fans under 30 truly not know how to handle a team that isn't on top all the time. And the old guys saying, "this is how it used to be...get used to it." -
So much this. Allen & Mahomes are 1A and 1B. I love Herbert's game, and he has that competitive fire - but he's just not at the level of the other 2. He can't quite put his team on his back like those guys.

Homefield will be so important against the Chiefs this year. I do think we're the better team - but it's a thin margin. We need them at our place.

Honestly - we need home field against the Chiefs this year. We have to lock up that 1 seed.

Sunday Night Football: Tampa Bay @ Dallas Game Thread
Success replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
Brady must be terrible to play with. Well, except the whole "getting a bunch of rings" part. -

They're getting zero pressure on Brady. I want to see how the old man does once he gets hit a few times. -

I cannot believe that Brady is still out there. I was a young man when he started playing. I can't remember ever being so tired of a player. I hope he loses every game, and throws a pick on every pass. -
It's us & KC, yet again. And sure - this is a week 1 hot take. But it's probably a true story.

Wow - Pitt!

Burrow just shouldn't be lumped in w/ Allen & Mahomes right now.
-
Wow - we really ARE the best team.

My impressions 20 minutes into the 1st Sunday: The Bills will win the AFC East.

The greatest team ever assembled?
Success replied to BrainwashedBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
The undefeated thing doesn't interest me that much. Can't explain why. I'd rather win 4 in a row to even up the SB record. Or, actually, 5 so that we have a winning record. -
Pats/Phins is really a no brainer to me. Miami feels like a frat brother who went through the same 2-decade hazing as us. I can never see rooting for New England unless it's absolutely vital for playoff position or something along those lines.
-
That wasn't a 1st impression. He carried the ball once - I'm not going to hold a fumble in a situation like that against him. I think this is what they might call a "hot take."

What games are you interested to watch this weekend?
Success replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall
Pats/Phins for sure. I still don't know which team will give us a harder time - conventional wisdom says Miami, but I'll never underestimate Belichick. Pitt/Cincy is interesting. Will Trubisky excel in Pitt? Is Cincy really all that? Bucs/Cowboys is a great Sunday nighter. Never thought I'd say this - but go Dallas. -
Checking the Pats boards, their current copium is pretty tied to this - a general sort of "he'll be just like Cam Newton - I give him 3 years tops at this level." I hope we're not as bitter and petty as that crew after we win 6.

Von Miller played just 35 snaps vs the Rams
Success replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall
That's great - we'll get a lot more mileage out of him in the long run, and he still had a huge impact. In general, I love the coaching philosophy w/ the D and always rotating. I think Collinsworth said we do that more than any other team in the league, and I think it works. Especially w/ our depth. Non-related note: did anyone notice how huge Rousseau is now? He must have put on 20 lbs. -
A week ago, when I looked at the schedule, I thought the first 1-2 months were pretty daunting. Now, not so much. Some tough games for sure. But no one is beating this team when they're playing their A game. And certainly not the Titans for the 3rd year in a row, this time in Buffalo.

I get the "he's choosing to run" arguments - but that falls to coaching, too. It just feels like that shouldn't always be the easy button on plays that break down a little. But I also get the idea that some fans are making, that this is just who Allen is. And maybe we just have to ride w/ that, whatever comes. Kelly used to take some big chances running, and he had a pretty healthy career overall. And that was in the days when QB's weren't as protected. Allen reminds me of him so much at times - that "Linebacker mentality."
