  1. This will sound like I'm complaining about a team that I never dreamed we'd have - but the Bills are playing SLOPPY football so far in 2022. In a way, I love it. Because you can clean that up, and we're demolishing teams even with the mistakes. But so far, there have been a few too many penalties and some overall lack of discipline. I don't see this as a well-oiled machine yet. But the fact that they're so good they can not only overcome that, but thrive, is amazing.
  2. If there is one thing I truly trust the Bills on, it's dealing with injuries intelligently. They always seem to err on the side of caution and on not rushing players back, no matter what the circumstances. It would be absolutely shocking to see Jackson against Miami this week. It is the rookie tandem's time to shine, against easily the best receiving duo in the league. Get yer popcorn.
  3. On a side note - I love how he plays the position of CB. He's very physical and quick, and it seems like it's really tough for a receiver to get separation against him. This is such great news, on so many levels.
  4. The line is DEEP.
  5. It's so easy for us as fans to see a replay in slow motion, over & over again, and claim that a "smart" or "good" player could have seen that coming and altered his trajectory, or put on the brakes. In real motion, I don't think any of us can really understand how fast the game moves on the field. And we want guys to play aggressive - we want a 2nd defender to come in for the hit, to either ensure the tackle or knock the ball loose. That's just the game. It's basically a split second where he has to completely change his mindset from aggressive and high energy to cautious.
  6. Fantastic news - all sounds very positive and promising. Very happy to hear it this morning.
  7. I think it's improving everyone's game. But Edmunds does stuff a lot of guys just can't do. He was just flying around all night. I'll get ridiculed a bit for this - but the way he played tonight reminded me of Polamalu in his prime.
  8. He made at least 7-8 other impact plays, including TFL and a tip for an INT....
  9. That quick update from Poyer is like the clouds opening up, the sun shining through and angels singing. Here's hoping.
  10. He was just flying all over the field. He was in on so many of those plays - including tipping the ball for that Poyer pick. He has played this season like the guy we hoped he'd be when we traded up.
  11. They're getting great experience. If Tre & Dane both get back healthy, we'll have a very deep and talented secondary.
  12. Edmunds was ALL OVER THE FIELD today. He made play after play. Obviously terrible w/ that hit before half, but no one should blame him for that.
  13. Great game - but now it's all about waiting for the injury updates. Hopefully Hyde is okay for next week. Gonna be tough w/ so many out in the secondary....
  14. The punt....lord? Duke? Emperor?
  15. I'm not sure if everyone is noticing - but Edmunds is in on almost every defensive play. He's flying around the field tonight. Awful & unfortunate what happened on the play before half, but he's playing like a star out there.
  16. Didn't he punch the ground? I was worried it was a knee or something, since most guys know when they blow that out.
  17. Praying for Dane. And Bills fans - we need to be better as a whole than some of the reaction right after that play. The game moves so much faster on the field than any of us here can imagine. Blaming Edmunds is the height of ignorance. He didn't intend that. It's just a result of how he plays the game.
  18. Pitt let me down yesterday. I was rooting for Trubisky to succeed there, but it really doesn't look like he has it, and the fans there are already clamoring for Pickett. He had some opportunities to win that game in the 4th. The muffed punt was unfortunate, but the Steelers were the better team yesterday and should have still pulled it out.
  19. After watching the Dolphin game highlights, I'm not quite as concerned about Tua. Obviously, he had a great game. But I heard that the Ravens were missing their top 3 CB's by the time the 4th quarter started, which accounts for why Hill & Waddle were as open as receivers can get on many of the plays. They were so open that I'd guess just about every starting QB in the league would have hit most of those throws. And they generally had to slow down on the long ones, because Tua underthrew them. Clearly, those receivers will be a problem - but I don't think yesterday was some big turning point for Tua, despite the stats.
  20. Impressive comeback from the Phins. They COULD be formidable - but who knows. They did get down by 3+ scores. Mac Jones is a fraud. I hope he plays just well enough for the Pats to reluctantly stay w/ him for a decade. Jets will be good under Saleh. I think he's a good coach. Have to see how they look w/ Wilson. The Bills would have to really blow it to not win the division, at least in 2022.
  21. Stay relatively healthy - and man, is this the Bills year. Sorry to all of the jinx people. I don't believe in 'em.
  22. Mac "doing his thing?" Does that include a terrible pick early in the game, a TD that should have been a pick, and an easy, almost incomprehensible late pick that should have been caught easily, but was dropped, and led to the Pats winning score because a return man fumbled? If that's Mac's "thing," man are the Pats going to be an easy out, for years.
  23. It's probably nothing. But if it is - it's hard to remember a time when we had such quality depth at the skill positions. Quick - who was here when Donald Jones was our #1 receiver?
  24. Federer at his peak was better than anyone, imo. Just scary good. Thank you for all of the great tennis, Roger. Well, if you're reading the Bills board and see this, anyway.
