  1. I was kind of freaking out in the offseason. The AFC looked so formidable w/ all of the good QB's. Not that things are set, but 3 weeks in, it still looks like the Bills & Chiefs, then everyone else. The AFCW is nowhere near the juggernaut that people thought, and teams like the Bengals & Colts are very beatable. It's not that I don't respect what Miami has done so far, but it's kind of smoke & mirrors. They could easily be 1-2, and don't see them being a challenge in the long run this year.
  2. Personally, I wasn't planning on 20-0. And after so many years of irrelevancy, being the SB fave was fun - but also a bit too much attention. We'll never be under the radar this season, but we also won't be the most talked about for a week at least. I'd obviously always prefer the win, but taking some pressure & scrutiny off the season is at least a small silver lining.
  3. The Chiefs lost today, too. And it's week 3. Homefield is still very much in play.
  4. I was actually hoping that he'd take the middle - there was plenty of time, and I was sure a big gainer would be available. The issue ended up being that nothing "big" was either available or tried.
  5. The Ravens are also battling a lot of injuries heading into next week. Honestly, the season has been kind of brutal so far, all around the league. Obviously hope that the trend improves.
  6. It actually wasn't super-tough. If we just dropped our 5th in a row to the Phins, and it was at home, or something like that - sure. Miami needed that way more than Buffalo. Not taking them lightly, because they're good - but it's a long season. I wasn't planning on 20-0. The Pats are hardly bad, btw. They played the Ravens pretty tough today. Uncharacteristic mistakes cost them the game.
  7. I'm not! I like how all 3 played. I probably should have worded things differently, though - we really need to run more. These guys all have talent.
  8. For sure. The AFC is stacked. Happy for the Jags. They've been through a lot, but the arrow is pointing up for them.
  9. Singletary is just so consistently good. 100% effort on every play - big runs, and nice catches that he turns into good gains. Moss was being pretty maligned - but he had a GREAT run in the 2nd half, and then a pretty big 3rd down conversion. Cook looked great, both running & catching passes. Today was the guy I expected when we drafted him. It would be good if we could get more of a running game actually going, consistently. I think we have the talent to do it. A lot will come down to the blocking schemes, but I thought all 3 guys gave a great effort today and showed some skills.
  10. This ain't the Jags game from last year. Just a hard-fought division battle, against a good team at their place, in tough conditions. And that team was desperate to finally beat the Bills. This game represents nothing to me aside from a loss. Hopefully most of the injuries are short term.
  11. From the 1 yard line - that was a GREAT drive. TOP is heavily in favor of the Bills right now. No small thing on a day like today.
  12. Bummer that Tua looks like he's going to be out - but no excuses now. Tie game, 2nd stringer at QB. Bridgewater can play, but we've gotta win this game.
  13. Thanks; I kind of missed that on the 1st view. It really was just a broken play.
  14. People wonder what's going to derail the season? Cuteness.
  15. Yeah - I'm all in on the Ravens. Logically, I should want the Pats. They're not a threat to the division title, and the Ravens could challenge for one of the top seeds in the AFC. But I want NE in last place from now until at least a time when we're able to travel to the stars.
  16. Miami is missing players too - but we're missing more. If we pull out the win at their place w/ so many key players out, it's hard to see any team stopping us this year.
  17. I hate to bring up his name here - but Belichick has set the blueprint on this stuff. You let players walk before they start to decline.
  18. Maybe a wishful take - but I think a lot of our pass coverage comes down to coaching & scheme more than personnel. Most players seem to thrive in this system. If these guys all perform well, it will say a lot about our staff.
  19. Embrace adversity.
  20. NOBODY PANIC!!!!! You all friggin' hear me?!!! Just STAY CALM!!!!! It's all GOING TO BE FINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  21. Saturdays.
  22. Well, Pats fans sure aren't disappointing on the general sports boards. How do you win 6 championships and still manage to be bitter & petty all the time?
  23. Anyone watch that game last week - or see the highlights? Hill and Waddle were ridiculously wide open on so many plays. Tua actually had some pretty bad throws to them - they had to either slow down or adjust.
