  1. I trust the coaches opinion and will just let them play it out. His performance was really bad for my eyes and I personally don't hold out hope for him but I am just a random fan. If he was waived I would lose 0 sleep.
  2. Denver is a good situation for a QB to go to. Hard to blame Cousins. Elway has proven to be good at filling the roster with talent and they have good WR's. I think Elway has had enough of Talib and his chain stealing show so this would make sense to me.
  3. The more teams that get out of the QB market give the Bills a better chance in the draft I guess. I was hoping for Cousins or Smith (plus a guy in the draft).
  4. The talent has been decimated but the purge and subsequent cap space allows for an infusion of young talent in the years to come. I see this as a positive. I think you will continue to see guys produce on one year deals on the roster. PHD's!
  5. Cousins is gonna get a ridiculous payday which is why I think the Redskins moved on. Three straight years of over 4000 yards, basically a 3:1 total TD:INT ratio. It may be the right thing to do but he is gonna be a cap nightmare for whoever signs him.
  6. In terms of identifying players, getting PHD's (poor, hungry, driven) might outweigh known statistics and measurements.
  7. The price will be based on the market and most importantly how many teams are interested. The price could be reasonable like a 2nd round pick but if there are two/three teams interested the price will get steeper. A lot of teams could be interested in trading for Smith.
  8. Probably because Eli is really inconsistent and can be downright awful at times.
  9. You look just like this cop I beat the crap out of last year
  10. Lattimore will win for the same reasons he is in the Pro Bowl but White is not. Whatever those are.
  11. Does Fitz attend press conferences with his wedding ring on?
  12. he is very politically correct...you dont hear his real feelings in interviews. Like all the brain washed patriots they are trained to say 10 sentences. But yeah I don't blame him on this, that would piss me off for sure. On the field he is as arrogant as they come as you would expect from someone who wants to win as much as him. I remember in the 16-0 season he was quoted as saying something like "I dont want to just win, I want to totally destroy them"
  13. Definitely but wiht they way they purged the high priced guys I think this regime might be taking a different tact regarding personnel that involves young, poorer and cheaper players on short contracts. The cap will be in awesome shape after this next year.
  14. that was awkward. No questions/answers. Everyone showed up and had a whole todo to read 10 sentences?
  15. I dont know how common it is and cant find the numbers online easily but there are probably at least 100 players in the league with injury guarantees. 80 would be from the last 4 drafts and then others like Wood. Regardless, the Bills signed on the dotted line so there is no recourse right?
  16. I think it is more common than you may be thinking but not all players have injury guarantees. I just read that top 20 picks have fully guaranteed contracts for performance and injury each year. Plus I am sure a lot of second and third contract have injury guarantees. In fact you often hear how much is guaranteed and a smaller amount is "Fully guarateed" (ie for injury). https://www.quora.com/Do-NFL-players-get-paid-fully-if-they-are-injured
  17. NFL contracts are not all guaranteed like baseball but there are often guarantees that both sides agree to. For instance, I am sure you have heard something like 4 years 24 million 14 million guaranteed. It is not uncommon to have an additional guarantee due to injury that never makes the headlines. The truth is the 14 million guaranteed part is often more complicated than one might assume.
  18. It is collectively bargained, it is fair and affects all teams at some point. It is all money that was paid to a player and goes on the cap accordingly. It is not a punishment, his contract had an injury guarantee, the Bills agreed to it.
  19. I dont think it goes down like that at all. Cleveland will have to want a player at 22. They are not going to make that trade ahead of the draft to count their picks in the top 33.
  20. I think they took this really serious but it was not made public. I noticed for a bunch of games toward the end of the year they did not even show the anthem. I think the networks stopped showing protesters. Living in NE it was interesting to see a couple casual fans who said they were done watching mention of FB that the championship game was the first game they watched this year and they noted how there were no protests. They just so happened to give the NFL a shot again when their team had a shot at the super bowl which I kind of find ironic. They care enough to not watch unless that game really matters then they can forgive the protesters.
  21. I see the QB play differently. I would argue that QB play is as high as it has ever been and that is evidenced by the amount of passing yards, TD's and QB ratings in recent years. I do think there was a drop off in 2017 though. Part of the better QB play are do to rule changes. But I do think the QB play can negatively impact ratings but not because it is shoddy, rather because the great QB's factor into wins and losses too much and more than ever. For instance, a team that had Peyton Manning or Tom Brady or Aaron Rogers is basically guaranteed to with 10-12 games. When Brady is playing Bortles in the championship game Brady wins.....it does not matter how good the Jags played on D for 3 quarter or even that Bortles was efficient and did not make a lot of mistakes. Brady gets the ball when they need points they get points.
