Who had the strongest arm in NFL history?
Turk71 replied to major's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have broken my fingers at least 12 times and I have to say it wasn't good. -
Best QB since Jim Kelly *Poll*
Turk71 replied to BrycePaup4ever's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Bills had a good chance of winning the SB if they had let Flutie play imo. The guy was a winner and had the heart of a lion. Tennessee came up a yard short of winning it all and I think the Music City Miracle never happens if Flutie had played, that game would have been out of reach. His legacy and that of the Bills franchise would be completely different if Ralph hadn't been so stupid as to switch qbs going into the playoffs. Who the !@#$ does that??? -
Matt Miller's latest Mock makes sense

???? You said you wanted a Brady and I merely referenced where Brady was drafted. As Foghorn Leghorn used to say, "that's a joke son, don't ya get it? I made a funny and you're not laughin' ". -

That's easy, just take a qb at the end of the 6th round. -
Matt Miller's latest Mock makes sense

Ya, I saw a lot of his games. I live in Eugene and follow Pac 12 football pretty closely. Their line was not very good, but I don't expect the Bills line to be all that good this year either. The guy has a slight build and is injury prone imo. Behind a good line and coached to get rid of the ball quicker he has skills to succeed. -

quote from draft profile "Struggles to elude early pressure. Completed just 42.4 percent of his throws when forced to move. Too much hero ball. Extends plays and takes unnecessary chances rather than throwing it away." He did suffer two concussions within a couple months last year. He is not the most solid guy physically. -

that's not one of his strong points. Tends to hold the ball, taking hits and sacks. -
It's all a crapshoot on this social media thing. Why do I try to be cordial when there is a serial media sociopath waiting to pounce on my every weakness ? Just kidding, this board is many things and entertaining is definitely one of them. I love the humor and yet the depth of understanding and love of Buffalo sports and culture. What is this thread about again?

'Wentz was going to be', a lot of things in life were going to be but then other shet happened. The fact is Wentz could not finish the season, win the MVP, or guide them through the playoffs and win the SB. That was not directed at you, that was a general appraisal of the discourse of late on this board.

I am fully aware who played what games, I am simply stating that qb play is what is needed. It doesn't matter if it is a high draft pick or the backup. That is why you don't put all your eggs in one basket. Foles was obviously capable on the biggest stage because he proved it. This isn't about Wentz and Foles, this is about the notion that you have to draft a top 5 pick qb to win it all, as if that is a requisite. It takes a team effort and the better the team the less dependent on one position. I will get behind what they choose to do. All these blanket statements, absolute truths , and derogatory remarks toward any who disagree are getting tiresome.

When I read it, I realized those were just examples of players they could draft with those picks. The premise here is would you give away the chance at 4 or 5 possibly good players to take a shot on one guy who is possibly a good player at the most important position. Those 4 guys listed were just an example, I am pretty sure. A lot of people on here seem to think that Josh Rosen is a surefire superstar 'franchise' qb. If McBeane think that way about any of them then they should take the chance. I don't see a surefire star, I see a few qbs with a lot of potential. Good qb play is what is needed, not necessarily a guy you draft and keep for 12 yrs. The goal is to win SBs, not find an idol whose jersey you can proudly wear for 15 yrs. The Eagles just won their first SB ever and did it with a journeyman castoff backup at qb. A guy that sucks according to a large % of folks here. People here insist that a guy like that at qb could never win your team a SB, basically denying the fact that he just did. Didn't the Bills trade up for Losman? That probably wasn't a good example for your point.

Again, bills HAVE called up to browns for first overall
Turk71 replied to *******'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Bills may or may not have contacted the Browns. We will have more as this interesting story develops. -
A free agent who was terrible last year, he'll fit right in. The process will turn them all around.

No way would I give up such a good draft for a guy like Rosen. I think he will get physically crushed in the pros. Slight looking frame, takes a lot of hits, 2 concussions last year alone, shoulder surgery, grew up on SoCal beaches, questionable commitment and unimpressive passing efficiency in college. He has as much of a chance of busting as any of the top 6 qbs. So much hype for a guy who has done very little beyond good mechanics and footwork, I will be surprised if he becomes a great pro. Of course if the Bills pick him I will hope I am wrong.

EJ Gaines Signs with the Browns for 1 Year at $4M

They seem to be hoping injured players like Davis and Murphy will be good again and players like Lotu , Ivory, Bodine, etc will improve their poor play of the last few seasons. Hope it works out. Cockrell just signed today for 2yr at 3.4 per., he has been playing well and can cover slot or outside. Was hoping they were giving him a look. -
Not a Comp pick crusader, I do believe all picks have value, but here is a list of a few who worked out. http://www.nfl.com/photoessays/0ap2000000336907 list is 3 years old so there may be others to add. You fill a roster the best you can, if you get xtra picks great.

Sounds like a psychotic break, whether it was bad drug induced, a deep psychological problem, or both is a ? Really glad he didn't jump out the window or kill anyone and I hope he gets the help he needs.

I knew Henry Vestine, he was playing the local music scene in Eugene Oregon from before I got there in '90 til he died in '97. Used to see him play all the time. He played with Zappa and the Mothers before Canned Heat. There is a crater on the moon named after his father.

Not really sold on any of these guys. Good prospects but no sure thing. No way I bet the farm on any of them. Just think its funny how you experts can state unequivocably who will suck and who will be great.
