Blue Tops, White Pants against the Raiders
LABILLBACKER replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
Please no more all blue smurf-iforms. -
We can't expect to fix the OL 1 player at a time. Torrence is very good but these yearly draft must include 2 olineman, not just 1. At this pace we'll have these 3 replaced with younger players by 2026. Taking too f-ing long during Josh's prime years.

Sailing....Christopher Cross

Not enough Frank Sinatra...

The answer is not to force Kyle in there. Even for one game. The goal is to force Josh to run the damn offense. Take what teams give you. Then when defenses start adjusting off the deep safety coverage, Josh can strike & go deep.
-
I'll start giving him the support as soon as he decides to listen to his coaches and act on the mistakes he keeps making from year 1. No body wants to see Josh castrated "athletically", but if he stubbornly continues down this path, defenses will dominate him.
-
Joe is amazing and very thorough. I agreed with all his studs & duds. Josh does need to mature and start running the offensive game plan. It's like his damn Verizon commercials. Not your best plan Josh. Check your Superman ego at the door and listen to your coaches. They'll be plenty of time for big plays down the road.

Was Josh Playing Hero Ball or Was i Imagining Things ?/
LABILLBACKER replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall
I never said Spencer was the reason Josh reverted to bad decisions. But besides Torrence, our OL still looks mediocre and this will have some impact on Josh's behavior. Josh needs to get out of his own head and start fixing what he knows needs self-correcting. -

Yes Josh must be weened off Hero ball. And because of some possible ego issues, this won't be an easy task. Spencer Brown is terrible and nothing has changed. He's clearly our weakest olineman. -
O'Cyrus Torrence.....Bills best O-lineman??
LABILLBACKER replied to Special K's topic in The Stadium Wall
For Beane to finally put max focus on the OL after nearly 6 years of neglect and bottom 10 rankings, would require him to ignore McD's incessant defensive requests. -
I hate shotgun handoffs and delayed draws because it immediately neutralizes the speed of your RB1. It makes no sense. Cook receives the ball from a stopped position and must re-accelerate. Just dumb playcalling. And this idea that we're in a traditional 12 personnel is not true. Kincaid is in the slot. More like 11 1/2 personnel.

Sugar High Josh and our Sweet Tooth
LABILLBACKER replied to Goin Breakdown's topic in The Stadium Wall
The only thing that entertains me is the chance to win a SB. Yes our early career Josh was spectacular and beyond entertaining. But does it translate to a championship and is it sustainable at 27, 28, 29? This is Josh's opportunity to transition into a little different qb. Make smarter decisions. Don't let Diggs dictate the offense. Trust your coaches. Our insatiable appetite for sugar leads to diabetes. -
The real issue with Josh isn't as much his recklessness as it is the poor field vision. He's always held the ball a tick longer than other qbs. I truly believe he struggles sometimes in seeing wrs (range of vision) during his progressions.

Jason Peters sets record - oldest practice squad player

Leaving Spencer in there isn't going to help either. -
There were some positives this game
LABILLBACKER replied to ChronicAndKnuckles's topic in The Stadium Wall
5 almost sacks don't count. Groot you actually have to take him down. Cook was unimpressive. Floyd will be great. -
Cam Newton Started To Regress in Year 6
LABILLBACKER replied to uticaclub's topic in The Stadium Wall
It would be a shame to not have Josh play at a high level for at least 12 years. There are many factors contributing to this recent decline including coaching, OL and Josh's own stubbornness. Comparing him to Cam athletically is very accurate. This season will be critical to his future & longevity. But he must cooperate. -
If the process means being content with winning regular seasons then count me out. I'm not a participation trophy guy.
-
Floyd at 51% is disappointing. Throw Kincaid the damn ball Josh. I don't care if it hurts Stef's feelings.
-
Until they hoist that Lombardi, it will just be a big tease. Followed by exhausting stress, heartache and pain. Wait for it......
-
Exactly, besides we don't even have a good enough OL to take advantage of a high end RB.

Josh has lost confidence… reasons why.
LABILLBACKER replied to Toledo Bill's topic in The Stadium Wall
1. Loss of Daboll 2. Skittish due to mediocre OL since 2018 3. No bona-fide WR2 4. No running game 5. Asked by McD to do it all
