Jets OT TD should have been called back...
LABILLBACKER replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall
How bout rather whining about a call that still would've resulted in the game winning fg, we tell our franchise qb to not turn it over 4x. Or maybe tell our new DC to stop a scrub qb. You'd think after that pathetic playoff finish would've motivated them? Guess not..... -
It was a shallow and lazy route by Davis. He needed to drive the safety deeper and never did. And frankly who knows what Dorsey's route tree is?

Singular point imo when Josh started regressing
LABILLBACKER replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall
I guess he'll need to come down to earth (mature) before he's ready to rebuild himself. Sherfield didn't even have a target. Harty didn't wow me with his speed. Kincaid may take some time to get going? -
We will never win anything with McD here
LABILLBACKER replied to HomeskillitMoorman's topic in The Stadium Wall
Been saying that for 3 years. McD is a nice little DC with his culture/process montra but on no planet is he leading this team to a championship. Way too many in game mistakes. -
I like Pegula & Beane. I was done with Sean after 13 seconds. That game showed me all I want to know about his in game flaws. And besides I never trust anyone who requires a slogan (trust the process) to get their point across.

Week 2 Bills vs Raiders Home Opener!
LABILLBACKER replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
We were supposed to take our offseason pain from the Cincy game and put that on the Aaronless Jets. How'd that work out. At this point I don't know what team shows up.l -
Interesting ESPN article (re Allen): death of the deep ball
LABILLBACKER replied to TPS's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't care how strong he thinks his arm is. There comes a time in an athletes life where you have to mature and be smart. He has all the athletic tools yet refuses to embrace the other stuff. -
It's about relaxing & tranquility. Something our over-amped qb needs to learn.

Josh started the game willing to stick to the plan. But as the game progressed he felt " it wasn't your best plan".....😃

Consolation prize - the Jets are screwed
LABILLBACKER replied to dickleyjones's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm not going to lose sleep or sympathize for the Jets. We lost our HOF caliber pass rusher last year. Deal with it fireman Ed. -
He'll never get the in-game part right. Which in my opinion is more important than organizing a bunch of high character choir boys. Daboll as HC and Schwartz as DC would've looked real good right after 13 seconds. Oh well those ships have sailed. Maybe Ben Johnson can be courted?

Sugar High Josh and our Sweet Tooth
LABILLBACKER replied to Goin Breakdown's topic in The Stadium Wall
I just watched the same conference today. Couldn't believe he said that? His stubbornness is only exceeded by his recklessness. Dude just won't learn. -
Blue Tops, White Pants against the Raiders
LABILLBACKER replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
Please no more all blue smurf-iforms. -
We can't expect to fix the OL 1 player at a time. Torrence is very good but these yearly draft must include 2 olineman, not just 1. At this pace we'll have these 3 replaced with younger players by 2026. Taking too f-ing long during Josh's prime years.

Not enough Frank Sinatra...

The answer is not to force Kyle in there. Even for one game. The goal is to force Josh to run the damn offense. Take what teams give you. Then when defenses start adjusting off the deep safety coverage, Josh can strike & go deep.
-
I'll start giving him the support as soon as he decides to listen to his coaches and act on the mistakes he keeps making from year 1. No body wants to see Josh castrated "athletically", but if he stubbornly continues down this path, defenses will dominate him.
-
Joe is amazing and very thorough. I agreed with all his studs & duds. Josh does need to mature and start running the offensive game plan. It's like his damn Verizon commercials. Not your best plan Josh. Check your Superman ego at the door and listen to your coaches. They'll be plenty of time for big plays down the road.

Was Josh Playing Hero Ball or Was i Imagining Things ?/
LABILLBACKER replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall
I never said Spencer was the reason Josh reverted to bad decisions. But besides Torrence, our OL still looks mediocre and this will have some impact on Josh's behavior. Josh needs to get out of his own head and start fixing what he knows needs self-correcting.
