In some ways, this is worse than the drought in my opinion
LABILLBACKER replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Wow, this current generation of fans are really setting the bar high. Maybe the NFL will create a regular season award. We'll call it the Shotty! We can win that every year while Patrick & Andy smirk at us. -
What are you doing to get out of this funk?
LABILLBACKER replied to Rigotz's topic in The Stadium Wall
Sorry but this is officially the way I feel. With the exception of Josh Allen and a very small handful of players, the rest of this team just doesn't play with the same passion or intensity. Our coaches always get outcoached. You can set your watch to it. And speaking of watches, this Bills experience over these last 8 years seems like nothing more than the movie Groundhogs Day. I'm now in a position to convince myself for the 56th time to "wait until next year". -
Well he better be prepared to wait several more years because he and his buddy Brandon are clearly incapable of finding an elite DL player.
-
Our defensive scheme is stupid. It lacks discipline or self awareness. It's like McDermott & Babs are asking the DE's to play nose tackle. I lost track at how many times Greg either fell or got lost in the B gap wash. Meanwhile Patrick has tons of space to scramble outside.
-
The only thing worse than watching Sean's over-rated scheme, is watching Beane & his worthless scouts fail miserably in finding 1 elite DL player. Overpaying for an aged out Von reeked of desperation. This team will experience this same playoff result for years to come.

We're never going to have a good enough pass rush to make these mediocre dbs look better than they really are.

Joe Brady and Aaron Kromer had a rough night

The stupidity of these coaches never ceases to amaze me. -
There's going to be alot more players than that gone.

A "Tush Push" to the right just once would have been nice....

I realize Josh is the ultimate "good soldier". He will never throw a coach or teammate under the bus. But for the first time ever after these playoff losing pressers, I saw anger in his eyes. If Sean doesn't get his defensive Shi# together real soon, I could see JA gone someday down the road. And I wouldn't blame him.

Without Josh, McDermott would've been fired years ago.

Why moving on from McDermott is tough due to logistics
LABILLBACKER replied to iccrewman112's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'll tell you one thing...tonight's game definitely exposed some of Brandon's bad picks. We're just not getting enough pop from our 1st/2nd round picks. -
Hard to beat the Chiefs and the refs every post-season
LABILLBACKER replied to ChronicAndKnuckles's topic in The Stadium Wall
Of course they want a repeat. They also want all the extra Swiftie eyeballs on the advertisers. Having KC/ Philly generates far more revenue than us. Once the 3peat is accomplished and Kelce retires with Tay, maybe...just maybe around our new stadium we stand a chance?? -

This whole game was a mystery flag. I'll never trust the NFL ever again. -
Just some thoughts before I log off for a while...
LABILLBACKER replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
Josh had a 105 rating and a 71 qbr. Those are great numbers. Pretty much every call we needed went in the other direction. So many players just didn't show up tonight. Hollins & Cookie were clutch. Our DL/OL/ OC not so mutch. So sick & tired of JA having to do it all. -

You can wave goodbye to ever landing Ben Johnson. And frankly I don't know if Terry really cares about a SB. He's content riding a fun regular season every year with Sean. Josh looked angry and pissed off at his post game presser. Something is going to give some day down the road.- 61 replies

I've gotten in so many arguments about our last draft. First of all I absolutely hated doing any business with our Arch enemy. How stupid must McD & Beane be to let Andy undress you both...again. Secondly we knew this was a massive WR heavy draft. We knew BTJ could be had if we gave up our Cole Bishop pick. We'll, we all know how all that turned out. BTJ became a fast, stud rookie WR. Coleman became a slow (4.7) jump ball guy who had a nice gauntlet. And sorry but Bishop did not impress me year 1. So while we continue to fail Josh on bad defensive picks. We also fail him on the offensive side of the draft too. Aside from some clutch catches by our WR5 (Hollins), who got separation this year?

Allen's worse pass of night was to the wrong ref
LABILLBACKER replied to Niagara Dude's topic in The Stadium Wall
The previous play was a 1st. The subsequent tush play was a 1st. The deep pass to the 3 should've been an incomplete since NFL rules state if the tip of the ball touches the ground it's not a catch. Ignoring Kelce's endzone taught that seconds later result in Phillips getting a flag. You're kidding yourself if you think the refs didn't help KC along.- 46 replies

He's a huge disappointment. Borderline bust....there's no DAWG in him.

Then what do we do? If Daboll sucked his last year and we saw what a train wreck Dorsey was, who's the great offensive mind that's going to help 17? Brady struggled last week and again tonight. -
Good words...tonight hurt a ton but you take a deep breath and clear your head for next year.

Von Miller proves the doubters wrong
LABILLBACKER replied to transplantbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Agreed....the signing was a disaster. And tonight he probably played his last game in a Bills uniform. -
Besides Josh, our 1st & 2nd round picks have been for the most part underwhelming. I witnessed Worthy outplay Elam, Groot, Kincaid & Coleman combined. We saw Josh make due with less this season, but when the HELL is McB going to hit on some early defensive picks? Ever???

If he's the most consistently good player on our DL then we're in some serious trouble.
