Hard to beat the Chiefs and the refs every post-season
LABILLBACKER replied to ChronicAndKnuckles's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Chiefs could care less losing to us in the regular season. It's not an important game to them. -
FINAL v3.0 now LIVE on p.15 - Gunner's 2025 Mock Draft
LABILLBACKER replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
I just don't see Harmon @ 310lbs playing 1T? Now, put a little more weight on him and it's possible. -
We're NEVER beating KC/Cincy in the playoffs with these guys. I don't care how amazing Josh is. Terry doesn't have the stones or insight to make the moves. We already lost our opportunity at Ben Johnson. Enjoy this same crap for the next 5-6 years. AFCE champs Wild Card win Bounced Division / AFCCG .......wash, rinse, repeat

We're soft and have psychologically accepted losing to KC every year. Don't keep Hamlin because he's got "the greatest story ever". Don't keep Von because he was willing to re-adjust his contract. And stop saying we're going to keep kicking the door in. You're kicking it with your heads 🤬. Brandon, you and your buddy better figure out this defense. You've had 8 years. Stop drafting early round busts. Stop doing business with KC.

James Cook Opens Up On Losing To Chiefs - interview
LABILLBACKER replied to One Buffalo's topic in The Stadium Wall
We're definitely keeping Jimbo around. -
Opera man will just sing his way out of it with a beautiful rendition of Por ti Volare....

Yes, it was 100% Al Davis challenging the league. Maybe that's why Sean didn't lose his mind last sunday after watching his team get screwed all day. The power and influence of this multi Billion dollar entertainment industry is beyond challenging. If you do, you're blackballed forever.

I think the most egregious one was SB 40. Head ref Leavy would later in his life admit he missed 2 critical calls that went in Pittsburgh's favor. Human beings are a flawed species. We make mistakes, lots of them. But we're also smart enough to develop technology that can minimize or even completely eliminate bad calls, spot, etc. What happened to our Bills was preventable. I realize there's a strong sentiment that if we had just played better, the officiating would be rendered irrelevant. And to some degree that's true. But our playoff games with KC are always close. One bad call can dictate the outcome. We've suffered thru nearly 20 years of Tom Brady/ NE getting most of the 50/50 calls. Now that a new league "golden child" has been selected, we must endure this all over again. There used to be a time when I naively thought the NFL cared about parity & fairness. Never again will I believe that.

Wide Receiver Train Full Speed Ahead- CHOO CHOO!
LABILLBACKER replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall
Ok then what year do you anticipate Sean finally finding his perfect defense? You do realize Sean's current model involves failed defensive picks and a scheme KC can easily shred. He has failed in locking up a quality defense for his first 8 years. -
With how worthless our pass rush usually is against KC, losing Rapp & Benford was basically a death blow.
-
Our tush push is a joke. Philly's is precise and strategically perfect. We choose Kincaid with 2 injured knees doing the pushing?....brilliant brady
-
Wow, I knew our safeties were bad but combined that's awful. Who knows if Benford even comes back from those 2 back to back concussions? Who knows wtf we have in Elam? And with all this DB carnage, the #1 need is still DL. As others have suggested, maybe we should just sign a FA WR then use ALL draft picks on Defense.

Andy stop caring about being a father years ago. His kids are complete train wrecks.

If Allen asks for a new staff he should get it.
LABILLBACKER replied to Ramza86's topic in The Stadium Wall
So basically our organization is tremendous at human resources yet sucks badly at game day decisions. Let's see what that gets us.....squat -
Do Bills players think they can beat the Chiefs?
LABILLBACKER replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
I was disgusted with 1:54 left and all 3 time outs and these 2 are hugging it out like the games over. I lost a lot of respect for Dion seeing that. We still had a chance to tie it up and Dion already checked out. -
FINAL v3.0 now LIVE on p.15 - Gunner's 2025 Mock Draft
LABILLBACKER replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Thanks Gunner...alot of work went into that. I really like all 3 players at their position selection. Bond will likely be a sub 4.39 guy so he may be a late 1st rounder. Wish he was a little taller. Harmon looks like a good sized (6-5/310) 3tech to compliment Ed. JTT may not have that first step burst so he's the biggest unknown from these 3. -
Wide Receiver Train Full Speed Ahead- CHOO CHOO!
LABILLBACKER replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall
No, they had their chance. They had 7 years to build a defense. Or hire scouts smart enough to identify good defensive players. I'm not giving them 7-8 more years to draft some more Bashams or Elams. Give Josh at least enough weapons to allow him to outscore teams 48-45. These clowns are never building a great defense, anymore then they'll out-scheme Reid. -
Wide Receiver Train Full Speed Ahead- CHOO CHOO!
LABILLBACKER replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall
Last year Beane had a viable opportunity to trade up to land a large, fast wr in BTJ. This kid would've been Josh's #1 WR for 7-10 years. It would've cost us Cole Bishop. But instead Beane reverts to more stupidity and does business with the team that owns him and his boss. Coleman runs a 4.7, there are LB's faster than that. Last year WAS the huge WR draft. And we treated it like an unimportant need for Josh. Nothing this organization does anymore surprises me. Just tell your worthless scouts to keep drumming up mediocre defensive players like Rousseau, Epenesa, Basham, Elam. And don't forget to tell Josh to "do it all yourself with the scraps we throw you". -
Hot Take: Does Bobby Babich Lose His Job?
LABILLBACKER replied to BillsFan130's topic in The Stadium Wall
Without the takeaways the Bills would be dead last in the NFL on Defense. Blaming Babich is lazy. Blaming Frazier is lazy. This is Sean McDermott's team and 100% his scheme and hand picked players. He runs the show. Now prepare for Smiley to be fired so Sean can survive another season. What a deal....- 185 replies

Gee, I've only been saying this since 2018. It's always been McD & his McScheme. DL, too weak & too small. LB's, too weak & too small. DB's, too small...too slow...and just too many out there guarding nothing but grass. Is there a HC/ DC combo better than Reid/Spags in the history of the NFL?...No. These two are in a realm of their own. Maybe a Ben Johnson/ Jim Schwartz combo could've given them some headaches? Maybe not? But what's happening over these last 5 years vs. KC is flat out not working. So let's keep doing it for another 5 years.
-
34.75 That's the average amount of points we give up to KC in the playoffs. There's no improvement anywhere, no matter how you spin or justify it. Andy/ Spags own McDermott and his boys. And his scheme is vulnerable.

I doubt we keep him, especially if he thinks he's worth 18M/ yr. His projected 5th year option salary is 13.4 so we'll do the same thing we did with Edmunds. Keep him for his 5th year then wave goodbye.
