So true...I've told this story several times. As a 9 yr old kid from LA, I vowed to follow whatever team drafted OJ. With each year the passion and obsession grew. Then one fateful day at 730a in the morning I'm making deliveries in Brentwood near San Vicente. Drove right by a crime scene all taped off, not knowing what happened. Later news broke and I knew the worst. My love for the Bills never wavered but being asked why a native LA guy loved the Bills, forever became awkward. Fortunately players like Eric Moulds, Fred Jackson and Josh Allen make it easy to forget 32.

Bills sign WR Kelly Akharaiyi, resign UFL WR Deon Cain

Correct...1-2 yr players make 13k minimum/week. Veteran PS players make 22k maximum for 2025. -
Elijah Moore helps AJ Brown off the ledge
LABILLBACKER replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm rooting for him more than any player. His skill-set could really help Josh fill a hole in this offense. -
So true...every day I'll be hoping for a zero injury report.

It's going to happen. Should've had them for the KC game. Then the Jest game. -
Chiefs George Karlaftis extended - 4 years, $93 Million

Would've been nice to have a Karlaftis over an Elam. -
Josh has averaged 28 pts per game in all his games v KC. So I apologize for my egregious exaggeration of 2 pts. We have lost 4 out of the last 5 years at the hands of KC. Kinda hard playing the Rams or Eagles in a SB if you can't get by the same opponent. And no I'm not proposing building a team to only beat KC. Obviously you need a well rounded team to attack different styles. My main point discussing Jackson v AJE is that one of our pass rushing draft picks needs to hit. If we want to win a championship and support Josh's contributions, we must enhance our pass rushing capacity. I know we both agree 100% on this. I don't know where it comes from...Solomon, Sanders, Jackson, Walker?....who knows? Maybe a draft pick next year? But hopefully it comes soon. My mistake was using the word "paramount" in this context. It is paramount that we support 17 as much as we can.

If you're going to attempt to find a worse contract than Von, you're going to have to do a better job than Dockery.
-
What's overstated? Don't we want Landon to out perform somebody like AJE? Isn't that something we should be rooting for? Or is the goal just process, depth, rotational stability? When we strive to draft pass rushers, we're also hoping they evolve into a game-wrecker like Bruce. Mahomes/Reid are the crisis. And we've failed to stop them. I'm convinced we definitely would've won at least one if not 2 championships if that dominant pass rusher existed. That can't be overstated.....
-
I will say it's paramount that Jackson can out perform the numbers AJ put up in his first 2 seasons. I realize that's not a very high bar. We have yet to hit on a great pass rusher since 2018. If we want to win a Lombardi we gotta put #15 down. Josh can guarantee you 30 pts every playoff game v KC, but it doesn't mean we're winning.
-
He doesn't get a bad wrap. He is what he is. A very mediocre 2nd round pass rusher who in the regular season tops off around 6 sacks. And I'm being generous ignoring his first 2 seasons. AJ has played in 12 playoff games as a Bill and has ZERO sacks. It's highly doubtful he's on the roster this time next year. He just didn't pan out.
-
Great, now AJ is our "break in case of emergency" option. Wonderful 🙄

$2 per episode...bargain.

The NFL wants nothing to do with parity. They want large market revenue generating teams and stars.

Predict Most improved/Most likely to regress
LABILLBACKER replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall
Most improved: Kincaid is the obvious pick. If he doesn't step up year 3, he's probably not getting extended. Most likely to regress: Cook without an extension and this whole vibe about whether he's a 3 down RB, we might see him take a step back? He's not likely getting 18 tds again. -
Baker, Sam and Josh @ American Century Golf Tournament

So far Josh is hardly lighting it up. He played better with Rahm. -
Were there ever years you were disinterested in the Bills?
LABILLBACKER replied to Another Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
94-95...seemed like we we're ending our great run. I became a Bills fan as a kid from LA because of OJ and then he has to completely lose his mind. Annoying and awkward period. -
Bills/Ravens/Eagles Super Bowl Favorites
LABILLBACKER replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall
I was one. I was a Bruin season ticket holder and saw all of Rosen's games. He was talented but had this demonstrative "premadonna" attitude. Mora constantly butted heads with him. Many thought he didn't even love football? So glad I was wrong and BB had the stones to get him. Now if we could just find a defensive superstar? -

Lamar is 3-5 and a career 84 rating in the playoffs. You are what your stats say. Lamar is the king of the regular season, so keep drafting him in fantasy. -
Lamar might be one of the greatest regular season qbs in NFL history. But even he has admitted he gets tight in playoff games. You could be right. Mahomes is due for a off year.

Optimistic: SB Appearance. Let the Gods decide Realistic: Face KC again in AFCCG. Let the Gods decide.

McDermott not in Top 10 of NFL coaches per PFF.
LABILLBACKER replied to 14774's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm starting to think with the "over the top" support Sean gets from Terry and our fan base, he could go 0-7 against KC in the playoffs and still be safe. The fans are terrified of a world without McDermott. And Terry has always supported the stability (culture) he's brought to Buffalo. Maybe another HC doesn't do any better? 2 Mulligans a round in golf is very generous.
