Agree....it's just so inconsistent. We make the right call not extending Davis & Edmunds but get a little prematurely excited for Bass & Knox. Let the contract play all the way out, then make your decision.

I just look forward to a season where 50% of our defense isn't injured.

Dude...good lord we NEVER make the extra play or 2 or 3. They have the best QB, HC, DC, TE in the entire NFL. Chris Jones disrupts everything. We have Josh Allen. That's it. Of course they're always going to be one or 2 plays ahead of us. You said it yourself, 13 sec was a collasal coaching blunder. I wish to the heavens above we had Andy coaching up Josh. But we don't.

Of course McDermott will always emphasize defense over offense. It's what's in his blood. The problem is none of the defensive players his GM has drafted since 2018 have been elite or dominant. It wasn't until last year when Sean panicked and realized he better start drafting offense around Josh. Too little, too late dude.

21 we lose our best defensive player Tre. 22 we lose our 140M dollar Von. 23 we lose Milano who probably is our best defensive player now. Not to mention a multitude of additional defensive guys going down toward the end of the season. I personally think we have one of the worst strength and conditioning staffs in the NFL. KC plays on grass, we play on turf. It all factors in. Alot of times people say injuries are luck. I've never bought into that.

I wish people would realize this undisputed fact. The regular season is not as important to the Chiefs. They win enough to get in the playoffs then "flip the switch" like the Lakers used to do. The Bills are just the opposite. The regular season is their plateau. Once the playoffs and bright lights go on, they play tight just like their coach. Notice how KC's defense and most of their team are always healthy in January. This is not a coincidence.

The Chiefs have the best offensive, defensive coaches in the game. The best QB and TE. Absolutely solid kicker and punter to compliment their ST. How does Josh (alone) get past all that?

Get Goodell to suspend Von and we can talk. The NFL is contractually obligated to give Patty the award every year. It's in his State Farm agreement.

Do you really trust McDermott and Beane to draft heavy offense (specifically wrs) after what we've witnessed since 2018. We have not drafted a 1st round wr in the McD/ Allen era. And don't say Diggs cause he was a trade, which in hindsight tells us now we probably selected the wrong player(Jefferson?). I expect nothing less than WR, 1T, FS, WR in the first 4 picks.

I mean you literally have to ignore and throw out whatever the regular season ranking was for our defense. It's all meaningless once the playoffs start. That #1 or #3 ranked defense turns to mush real fast. Other than Taron's pic6, I can't remember one critical stop by our defense in 10 playoff games. Pathetic, no wonder Andy fired his ass.

Exactly....our ST coach is awful. Our DC is our HC (sorry Babich). Maybe Joe pans out but he's not drawing up schemes for Josh like Reid, Shanahan or even Ben Johnson. Josh will continue to be heroic with inferior coaching. Set your watch to it.

Their coaches are better than ours by alot. They make perfect adjustments and play schemes that McD & Brady could only dream of. I knew they'd target 87 heavy in the 2nd half. Yet Shanahan and his DC were unprepared and kept zone cover 2. At least we can blame having 5 defensive starters out (yes I'm including Von). The Chiefs have the #1 QB, TE and HC in the league. Their DL and CB's are better than ours. Their RB runs more violently than ours. While their wrs are making plays, ours are dropping balls. No one will ever convince me Pat is better than Josh. But his total support system is worlds better than ours.

The only trade I would make is McDermott for Reid. Reid hires Spags and Josh easily has 2 rings.

Dude I know that. It hit his teammate in the foot and Ray Ray did a poor jump keeping his teammate away from the play. Then he butchered the recovery attempt. It was pure Ray Ray of old. The whole play was muffed collectively.

Mahomes with McDermott would've been a disaster.
