  1. I'm excited that Ben Johnson will be available next year after Sean does what he does best. I'm super disappointed this ownership didn't identify issues dating back to 13 seconds. I've never seen a coach get so many chances. I guess I can wait one more year? Yeah 31 points (should've been 34) against a top defense like the niners is a terrible accomplishment.
  2. Yup, nothing screams fulfillment like a divisional loss every year. The pinnacle....
  3. The organization did the right thing promoting both Brady & Babich. I honestly don't know alot about either gut other than a half year of playcalling from Joe. Continuity is important. But I think most fans will agree the regular season is not the problem. And the wild card round usually goes our way assuming we're not facing Joe or Patrick. But once the divisionals start, we all rightfully start freaking out. How do we stop these 2 guys?
  4. All I know is in every playoff game, KC had less calls then their opponent. 🤔
  5. DQ is definitely the #1 priority. I want Jones and Oliver in there the majority of the time. To hell with this failed 10 man rotation that doesn't work.
  6. Epenesa is so over rated. Unfortunately he's alot like Rousseau. They'll have 2-3 amazing high motor games each year then be invisible the rest. Players like Bruce or Mario were rarely invisible. We gotta keep drafting until Beane can find a true game wrecker. AJ has averaged 3.5 sacks/ yr and Rousseau 5.5/ yr. That's not going to cut it.
  7. Yeah the draft needs to look something like wr, s, dt, wr, s, de. In group categories fa wise I hope we can keep Dane & Ty as quality depth. Nothing sucks more than draining huge cap money on injured or underperforming players like Von, Tre, Dawson and even Diggs to some degree.
  8. 1. Jones 2. Floyd 3. Johnson (backup) 4. Jackson (backup) ....I'm more than willing to let Gabe & Epenesa walk.
  9. I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree on McDermott. You're willing to give him more years to get that break- thru Andy moment. I'm not. I just don't see defenses winning championships anymore with the way scoreboards are lighting up.
  10. Pts per game given up by defense. From 2019 thru 2023 we've been ranked 10th, 5th, 1st, 1st and 4th this year. McDermott's issues have never been stopping teams in the regular season. But once we enter the playoffs all these amazing numbers disappear. Shaw it hasn't worked. We've entered 5 straight playoffs with a top 10 defense. 2 of those seasons we were ranked #1. I mean if your waiting around for Sean to build the 85 Bears defense then we're in serious trouble. He's asked Beane to draft pass rushers and it didn't work. He rolled the dice on Von and it didn't work. Sean has had multiple opportunities to scheme a way to stop Reid & Mahomes. I guess I don't require another 5 years of "chances" to see something I know now. And no there's no guarantee that if we were to move on from McD and hire a Ben Johnson, it would work out. But I just feel so many McD supporters are holding on forever to the hope that McDermott has that Reid momen....legacy finish. Be patient, it will happen. Will it? I bet Schottenheimer and Marvin Lewis also dreamed of that happening.
  11. Well if his "growth mindset" starts leaning more toward an offensive footprint then sign me up for a few more years. Cause I'm not holding my breath that he'll ever figure out Patrick in the playoffs. And don't expect Josh to just stand around and watch his defense struggle against Mahomes/ Burrow every year. Players (people) have breaking points.
  12. What's the point of rotating 8 or 10 fresh Dlineman if none of them can get home? I still feel this is an offensive league. Neither SF or Detroit stopped each other. Last years SB was extremely high scoring. Coaching still matters and Spags/ Reid outclassed McD as usual. Obviously injuries were devastating to us. I don't run this team but if I did I'd emphasize O over D and give your elite qb every possible weapon known to man. We've seen 3 top 5 defenses get shredded in the playoffs during McDermott's regime. If you guys are dreaming of some legendary defense coming to Buffalo, it's probably naive.
  13. I'm so sorry Scott. You're right, family is everything and needs to be cherished every day. May the Lord welcome your beloved wife into his heavenly kingdom. And may he help give you and your kids comfort. Bills brethren will always be there for you.
  14. McDermott's late season playoff defenses have either been exhausted or injury riddled. Everything is about zone disguises. There's little or no physicality in our players. He has no answer for elite qbs or coaches.
  15. Most years I watch it but probably not this year. There's just something fake and vile about it with Taylor Swift and Mahomes/ Kelce plastered on every commercial. I want to see a game, not a contrived marketing event.
  16. It was always going to be niners v TayTay....
  17. Come on guys....you know there's only 8 teams allowed to win SB's.
  18. That was my hopes but Terry has a permanent man crush on Sean.
  19. I agree, McD in the 80's wouldn't work. But the bottom line is he can't beat KC when it matters. And historically his playoff defenses have way underperformed.
  20. Well one thing is for sure, we'll know after the first half of this upcoming season if he's Dorsey 2.0 or someone more dynamic. He has to incorporate Diggs more. He must use play action more. He must teach Cook how to catch a damn ball. Let's give him an offseason to build his own playbook.
  21. Hey I'm all for this or at the very least 2 wrs and a safety in the first 3 rounds. No way clap signs off on this.
  22. Gee I thought they're a package deal? Don't they have to be fired together?
  23. Listen, McDermott could have 10 more years to figure out how to stop KC and it wouldn't matter. The only reason we're competitive with KC is 17.
  24. That's it in a nutshell. Patrick and Josh are the 2 best qbs in the NFL. I don't care how many maps are handed out to guys that either are always injured or wither in the playoffs.
