I'm sick and tired of waiting around (6 years now) for Sean McDermott to build a playoff defense. Media is downgrading Josh's accomplishments because he's expected to score 30-40 points every playoff game. And that narrative exists because McDermott's yearly defense can't do squat in the playoffs.

nostril damus predictions for the upcoming season

I agree with all except 5. If Beane allows McDermott to draft defense again then he's as much a fool as Derm is. -
McDermott - Excuses, Valid but concerning
LABILLBACKER replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
His defense is awful every damn year in the playoffs. And clearly he can't hire a competent conditioning staff to reduce injuries. What do you expect? -
It was disorganized and botched. It looked like the punt team wanted to yell out alert and punt it instead. Our ST's have been awful all year.

McDermott - Excuses, Valid but concerning

It will be a cold day in hell when Sean McDermott runs out of excuses. Just another playoff exit where HIS defense let's down Josh. Next year will be the same and the year after that. -
I was screaming for more play action in the 2nd half. Especially on 1st down but Brady just forced Cook up the middle. Alot of 2nd & 9's. Brady is clearly better than Dorsey but he's got stuff to improve on.

He almost missed 2 extra points last night. Every damn kick Butker attempted was right down the middle. I mean this is Bass' home stadium. You'd think he'd know the wind and nuances? I'm done with him and Martin. Bass is a bottom 5 kicker making top 5 money. Unbelievable.

You don't want to know.

Great and 💯 truth DC. Ever notice Josh plays thru his injuries yet the rest of these guys drop like flies every week. I'm so sick and tired of watching Josh leave his soul on the field while his coaches and team mates flail around.

5 sacks a year for a 1st round DE is not going to work. He's mediocre and not a game wrecker.

Random talking head says something about the Bills

He always is. Now if his coaches and teammates would ever join in? -
Josh will become Mike Trout

Yup, WR, S, WR. No other pattern.

That's it in a nut shell. Against KC or Cincy we can't ever get separation. We can't ever put pressure on Mahomes or Joe. Von was a colossal FAIL. AJE & Groot are beyond mediocre. Probably can't afford keeping Floyd? Diggs is diminished.

So the Bills can rise up and save Sean's job after the Dunne piece, but besides Josh they can't rise up against their hated rival in the playoffs. If Pegula is so blind to not see the obvious, then we as fans better be prepared for more seasons like this. McD is not taking this team to a SB, let alone winning one. And if that's OK for all you "participation trophy" fans then knock yourselves out.

Gunner you are literally going to be the last guy on the USS McDermott.

Stefon Diggs Trade Proposal (Hypothetical)
LABILLBACKER replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm not opposed to this strategy if you could find someone willing to give us a 2nd and take his contract. Gabe was a fail. Stef is definitely not the same guy as he once was. We need to get more young promising wrs. As much as I love what Diggs meant to this team, his time is ending soon. -
You've been hanging around Augie too long.

Thank you...I threw away my rose colored glasses years ago. I'll celebrate when McD is gone.

Milano and Bernard out was basically the reason we lost last night. Klein couldn't stay with Kelce all night. Then add the dbs injured, we didn't stand a chance. Until this organization finds a strategy or better conditioning staff to minimize injuries, this crap will continue every year.

Maybe the most incredible stat of the night
LABILLBACKER replied to QB Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah sorry but I failed to see the Chiefs punter enter the field until the 4th quarter. Josh scored enough points to win this game. If not for another missed kick and several huge drops by Cook, Sherfield and Diggs, we would've had 30+ pts. Maybe McD need to focus on finding a better conditioning program to minimize these injuries. -
I have an idea. Why don't we find a capable offensive mind to run this team as a HC. Then we're not shuttling new coordinators in here for Josh every year. I like Brady but he has his flaws. The last thing Josh needs is his 4th OC in 4 years. But as many have accurately stated, Pegula will mistakenly continue to support McD. This is an offensive league. The only way to end this cycle for the Bills is to hire a Johnson or Harbaugh type.
