  1. “ Ben “ Carson ...lol Aikman
  2. Horrible roughing call. Absolute garbage Certain QBs get the favoritism
  3. The self inflicted wounds seem to be the Bills biggest problem right now. Hopefully that’s a good sign. The assembled offensive talent still needs a couple pieces, but it seems they could be at least an average to slightly above unit if they clean up the unforced errors.
  4. Where did I say a 21 point output is a valiant effort? The numbers I gave illustrate it as clearly average . With the Bills defense, average offense should win a lot of games. I’d love for last years 30 th ranked passing offense to be a top 5 scoring unit this year, but in their current form I’d venture that would be a stretch.
  5. Currently in 2019 an offense scoring 24 points per game would be in the top ten of the league. 21 ppg puts you square in the middle (Bills are currently at 19 ppg and 23rd overall). While the Bills need to improve in that category , they are still a work in progress after a major offensive overhaul. They also have a top defense. So for this team, with the stout defense that they play I’d say the offense scoring 21 points should win them a lot of games. By the end of the year, I’d like for that output to be higher. 21 ppg however is respectable and not far off from the top ten. The Bills still need a couple skill position players and more O line cohesion , in addition to improved play from Josh Allen.
  6. I really can’t stand all these commercials ( curiously shown during NFL games) that feature the god awful sound of a buzzing alarm clock. Reflexively makes me want to jump out of my chair.
  7. Mahomes is an unbelievable talent. He’s the best QB in his first 25 games in NFL history and it’s not even close. He’s got talent around him, but he’d elevate any WR on the field.
  8. More importantly, are these two uniforms offensive to the colorblind ?
  9. Well, they got it right. Bravo
  10. Ahhhhh, the Chroise. Remember him well
  11. Looks like Nickell forced a fumble there
  12. Damn those unis are freaking hideous.
  13. Rams. I’ll never forgive SEA for saying “ no thanks, you take it” and handing a Lombardi to the filthy Pats*
  14. Might have to bring up a QB with the Allen situation.
  15. I’d love for it to be a WR, but most likely Davis Webb ?
  16. It’s the same offense. The game plan will change, but no one is installing a new offense for a backup QB.
  17. Stop the Patriots threads. This is a Bills board, not a gathering place for Pats* worshippers.
  18. I’m not defending Allen blindly. Anyone who has watched realizes there are flaws in his game. I’m pulling for him for sure, but have no idea if he can be the long term answer or not. Nobody knows, but some claim to be clairvoyant and have all the answers. Allen hasn’t come close to having a perfect game, that’s my opinion. Don’t try to frame my thoughts without knowing what they are. It’s not the same because I’m not saying he will or he won’t. He’ll either improve and succeed or he won’t and another QB will be brought in to replace him. As a Bills fan, I’m just along for the ride.
  19. Many in the media and especially analytics types care more about being right than anything else. Lots of these folks are numbers geeks , not sports types. When they’re wrong they are silent. That’s the media world we live in today . Hot takes and declarations get more clicks than nuance. It’s an example of opinion from someone who has observed the change in media over the years.
  20. There will be plenty of Allen detractors quickly cranking out columns about how terrible he is. When he wins he will garner faint praise and many will be silent. This will likely follow him his whole career as media types won’t rest in their quest to be right.
  21. If he’s out of the protocol, there’s is not any difference between playing in week 7 or this week . Practice time is the only factor. If you want to play I safe with his health then by your logic Allen backs up Barkley all year. This is concussion protocol, not a hamstring .
  22. I don’t think there is any room for discretion or “ optics” with the concussion protocol, and the team doctor is not the one calling the shots. Its an independent Neurologist. If you show symptoms ( ie fail the test) you are in the protocol. Each injury is unique and there are varying degrees but once you fail the test the only differentiating factor between injuries is the length of time it takes for the player to clear the protocol. Allen showed symptoms, however slight and he failed. He appears to be recovering quickly. If this was the 1990s, judging from his actions afterward , he gets an ammonia cap on the sidelines and returns to the game. For obvious reasons those days are over. Edit : Allen hasn’t yet cleared the protocol. I’d venture if he clears it and practices tomorrow he plays. otherwise it’s Barkley.
  23. While the fans hot takes on the QB subject can be ridiculous at times, they are still just fans overreactions. No one can seriously think these have anything to do with decisions made at OBD over the years.
  24. NFLN sit ‘em and start ‘em fantasy segment makes no sense. They listed Mariotta, D. Walker , C Davis as sit ‘em vs BUF. Then they have the BUF defense as a sit ‘em ? Then D Henry is a start ‘em as well as the TEN defense . Strange ...
