A Few Thoughts About the *Pats game, in no particular order
Boatdrinks replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Oh it was absolutely deliberate if you see the front angle. 100% scummy hit from a scummy player on the scummiest team that ever scummed. That’s about it. -
Josh Allen in concussion protocol: Update cleared 10/5
Boatdrinks replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No updates are given on a player in the protocol. They are either in it or out of it. No interviews either. -

He really doesn’t fight for the ball at all. -
This stretch coming up is where they need to make their move. TEN doesn’t look so easy now, and it’s a must have. Need 6-2 at the midway point to have a clear path.

Josh is horrible on long throws all 4 games
Boatdrinks replied to Artem Lipatov's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Can’t argue, the long ball has been totally off this season. First they were too deep now they’re underthrown. Needs a lot of work there. -

And that it helps greatly to be wearing a silver helmet with an eagle wing logo when you’re holding the DE. -
Will offense operate better with Barkley next week?
Boatdrinks replied to GG's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Exactly. Folks need to check out BBs record vs QB with 2 years or less experience. It ain’t pretty for the QBs. A few did well, like the great Mark Sanchez. -

Might have been. A joke not to mention the performance of the Bills D. -

Will offense operate better with Barkley next week?

If they don’t look better against TEN than they did against NE something is wrong. I think Barkley is capable of getting a win, but I think it’s unlikely. That’s a top D they faced today. Barkley is a very limited athlete, but he may get the start as protocol usually is over a week. -

It hasn’t , but it’s early. Hopefully that QBis Allen, and he’s got to be better than decent. They chose to draft a QB vs sign a seasoned vet mediocrity. That means growing pains, but it also means winning is possible while that is happening. All mistakes are magnified vs New England and we all knew that going in. Most felt the offense would dictate whether they won or lost today, and that pretty ,ugh happened. Throw in a gift TD from STs and that’s the day. Maybe you’ll get your wish, Allen won’t improve and they’ll be looking for another QB in a year or two. Probably a new HC and maybe even a GM. Or he improves and wins while he’s doing it vs the mostly avarge competition the league presents week in and week out. We will see. -
Scott Zolak is a scumbag classless POS!!

And the Bills are 3-1, just played the toughest team on their schedule by a freakin longshot and Allen doesn’t have a losing record as a starter. Winning is all that matters. Winning while he develops is even better. -

Did anyone actually think the Bills offense was better than the one they were facing today ? . I didn’t , and I’m not surprised they struggled. I actually think they are capable of winning 10;games with their schedule if they stay relatively healthy. They do. I read an article about the game on CBS sports and they said the Bils D was excellent, but was overshadowed by the Pats. The Bills faced the SB champs. The Pats faced a QB in start #15 with 1 returning Olineman and two new WRs. Had to laugh at their assessment. -

Good thing you’re not the one choosing. Barkley only in case of injury at this point. -
Josh Allen in concussion protocol: Update cleared 10/5
Boatdrinks replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think you misread me here. I want Allen to take off and run as it’s a huge factor in games. Barkley isn’t going anywhere. So to that I say no thanks. I want Allen, and he shouldn’t have to “ defend” himself from a helmet to helmet cheap shot. -

If Allen doesn’t take off and try to make a play when the coverage is good and the rush breaks through, may as well have Barkley in there. No thanks. -

He made a lot of mistakes. We will see if and when his game improves in that area. He’ll get more than a season, and will likely get three. Seems about right, given the investment. Not going to turn to Matt Barkley. -
We need to draft a big, physical WR...
Boatdrinks replied to bills6969's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes, they need this. Next draft. This team isn’t complete at the skill positions yet. -
Yep. They beat NE last year too. The HC is very familiar with the Pats D and were going to see a strong dose of the same stuff. Not optimistic right now, even as much as Mariotta blows.

Lots of young QBs try to force things because they got away with them in college. He’s not even from a big time conference. He may always have some element of that in his game, but I imagine it will decrease considerably as time goes on. -
Well, I’ve been there for about the last 15 years. On the bright side, I like what the team did today and actually saw a fair amount of penalties called vs NE. Yeah, and a lot of it was just inexperience. The Bills did not lose this due to Refs errors/ calls though there were some. They had chances and couldn’t punch it in.

Shocking that there would be a difference between a guy in his 15th start and the supposed GOAT. Unbelievable ! I liked what Daboll was doing in the second half. Don’t see an issue between them.
