  1. I’d say no. While the two defenses would keep things close , I’d still take the Pats* offense to win if they played on a neutral field 9 times out of 10 .
  2. So playing keep away to make the high powered offense stay on the bench is some kind of revelation? Remember Super Bowl 25 ? It’s been going on longer than that. as for their other 4 opponents, I didn’t see the games so can’t comment. Not all OCs come up with good game plans. KC has a lot of injuries at the skill positions and OL issues too. Their defense wasn’t great last year and they lost some of their better players there. The Colts gameplan was smart, but hardly innovative.
  3. True, it may not be uncommon to have a lot of changes. That doesn’t mean fans can’t expect the offense to improve as the season goes on. Continuity isn’t assured in the NFL anymore, but it still takes more time for new players to get adjusted and get on the same page. There just isn’t any substitute for live reps, and the practice rules are limiting as we know. The old saying about offenses being behind the defenses early in the season is more true now than ever. While Allen has issues to work on, we are seeing some communication issues on the OL, the issues being discussed on the scramble drill et al.
  4. I thought about that possibility but Cole doesn’t seem to make a huge effort to get away; he might have drawn the flag if he had. Seemed like he saw Yeldon running to the area he was headed to and stopped. Can’t be sure I guess.
  5. Hmmm “ spider 2 Y banana ? “
  6. Well, EJ Manuel was overdrafted from the start and everyone but Nix / Whaley knew it. He was going to be available in the middle rounds. Allen is going to get multiple seasons , probably at least 3. Maybe more if the team wins. I’d say take that to the bank. He didn’t like the positioning of 25. He might have thrown Beasley into a huge hit or INT. Then pressure, so he escaped it. Simple miscommunication on a scramble drill is all. Allen was being cautious initially but it’s a fine line sometimes . Pats game was fresh in his mind and overall I think he did pretty well.
  7. A 1st round NFL QB is going to get a minimum of 3 years and possibly more unless they are a flat out flop. Teams aren’t going to move on if they’re winning games while a QB is developing. I’ll agree that I saw enough out of Tannehill / Mariota to be ok with moving on without picking up the 5th year option.
  8. More like had a blueprint to destroy a bad defense that can’t stop the run and doesn’t tackle with sound techniques. Stud O lineman always help, but trying to keep a great QB and potent offense off the field is nothing new.
  9. This ^^. It’s a year to year league, and if the Bills are in a good spot around the trade deadline they should be willing to make moves. Next year’s schedule appears tougher as well. Nothing is guaranteed , so they have to take shots when they have them.
  10. Fans want to see production that matches a players draft status / FA contract. Yeldon gets heat for his fumble, but fans don’t “ hate” ( overused snowflake term) on a 3rd RB if they’re being serious. He gets a handful of snaps and has done OK. Jones was a second round pick that the Bills moved up for and was expected to be a good WR 2. For various reasons, he didn’t produce in the way the team wanted him to. Fans see it, and are critical of that. It’s not “ hate”.
  11. Far too many ex-Pat dill holes on the NFL talking- head shows. Most are unwatchable now as every discussion somehow turns back to the Pats*.
  12. It’s their second year with no Wood .
  13. Except the media talks about the big market teams whether they’re winning or not. There’s definitely a bias toward those teams. No big deal, but it’s there.
  14. I don’t know if I can put KC in at 2 anymore. They lost to the Colts at home, and they play defense like a big 12 team.
  15. Duke may not set the world on fire, but the team realized it was time for a change. ZJ was a disappointment relative to his draft status.
  16. It’s mostly not luck, but those two instances were absolutely just sheer stupidity. Neither ATL or SEA were “ forced “ into anything. That’s just mythological hocus- pocus nonsense. Just media and ex-Pat drivel and utterly bunk.
  17. Not sure, but the Bills were right there with the Texans last season on the road until Allen was injured. Peterman came in and put the game away...for Houston. I’d give HOU the edge because Watson is incredible.
  18. I’ll never forgive him for that quarter of stupidity. He’s right there with the Seahawks. Lifetime ban from rooting for them.
  19. I think their speed is pretty good with John Brown and Foster ( when healthy). They need a number 1 WR with elite size more than a small fast guy.
  20. Not enough hotel rooms to host a SB. Would not happen even if a new facility is built imo.
  21. Lol don’t know. Wouldn’t shock me though. Tom Rathman I believe
  22. Dill holes. Zay doesn’t play with fire or passion. Buh- Bye.
  23. Guy was glass and too concerned about his Olympic training to focus on football. Needed a wake up call, Bills couldn’t get through to him. No big deal.
