Josh Allen in concussion protocol: Update cleared 10/5
Boatdrinks replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have to agree. Was feeling it with JA in there, especially if they got around the goal line. With Barkley, it was hoping against hope. -

Yep, it was and maybe always will be. We can’t change it, but the results on the field will dictate the FO and McDs future. -

I wondered that too, though I never like to question playcalling unless it’s glaring ( like run, run, pass Jauron ball or SEA at the goal line in the SB). There’s not a lot to exploit vs that D, and I think Daboll wanted some chunk plays as a long drive against NE likely ends with a BUF mistake. Also because they haven’t really shown it except for a deep shot here and there. Needed to keep them guessing. -

Yep. Automatic points vs a chance to stop them -

They saw a weakness in the blocking and yes, I think Bojo is kinda slow to react. -

Hopefully. I’d be surprised if he makes the TEN game. We are entering the “ money “ portion of the schedule as far as having a path to ten wins goes. A loss to TEN would be much worse than losing to NE. I actually feel pretty good about where they stand right now. They were outgunned vs the Pats but got in a slobberknocker of a game and went to the wire. The season rides on Josh and hm getting more patient and not forcing things. -

The Punter is slow to kick, blocking is suspect they saw this on film and took advantage. The punter was exactly the same as he’d been in the other 3 games , the opponent was better. The JA errors were largely unforced , but that punt put points directly on the board. -

BB won’t stand for less. Sexy Rexy was OK with his half arsed effort. He gets away with all his holding these days though. -

Not sure about others, but my concern with the offense right now is that they probably won’t have Josh Allen. TEN was the must win game, not NE and an injury to JA is one the Bills couldn’t afford. -
horrible game decisions my Coach McD

Challenges are about video evidence, not ref favoritism. A spot challenge is generally a bad one unless blatantly obvious ( which most are not). Challenges thus far on uncalled PI have overwhelmingly not been made under the new rule. So that’s a bad challenge too. The 4th down call needed to be to go for it as your QB was out and you’ve got to be aggressive to win vs New England. No use just keeping it close and your D was having a great day. The John Brown pass was a great call and even the pass to Jones probably should have been a TD. If they ran and got stuffed everyone would say they were too conservative and NE knew they would run with Barkley in there. -

No, he can’t but he’ll be slow to dial that down a la Favre. He’ll eventually learn to be patient when he’s frustrated. -

He’s in the protocol, and I think the average for that is over a week. Plan on no JA for TEN game and very possibly a loss. -

While his mistakes were glaring, he was battling back and had the team in position for a 4th quarter comeback. Not all bad vs BB, who generally has his way with less experienced QBs. I’d agree the coaching was pretty solid all around. STs are still weak. -

Do the Rams have talent ? because they couldn’t score in the SB. The Bills are not there yet at the skill positions, but I still think this game could have went their way if Allen finishes. -

Not really. The blocked punt gifted the margin of victory. -

No he didn’t , many of those were unforced errors. We saw the frustration coming out from a young QB that forced things when the opportunity wasn’t really there. Patience will come slowly to Josh, it seems. However, he has talent and just might have pulled this out against the odds. -

I don’t kno, but they do. Therefore Brady = fair game. Take him out with a dome or knee shot. -

Thems the rules, but it shouldn’t be that way. -

Well, except for the cheap shot to the QB. That just has to take precedence over another penalty . Anyway, the Bills should have submarined Brady’s knees in return. -

I saw improvement after the first half. The patience he showed letting that delayed rusher come at him then deke him out was a thing of beauty. He wasn’t doing that in the first half. Talent shows through, he just needs to throw the ball away. That’s a lot more fixable than mechanical problems , weak arm etc. BB toys with young QBs, but I think JA might have pulled this out if he wasn’t cheap shotted in the dome. -

Nah. In case you missed it, JA had a pretty typical inexperienced QB day vs BB. Still, I felt he may have led them back up until the cheap shot by the Pats*. Heck, they might’ve won with Barkley in there. Too many turnovers , but Allen was still battling. -

Hightower out is a factor for sure. On the flip side, I hate that Collins is back in NE. He always seemed to cause negative plays vs the Bills in his first NE stint. -
Devin Singletary unlikely to play per Rapaport
Boatdrinks replied to Estro's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed. A loss today doesn’t do a ton of damage to the Bills 2019 season; at least not on its own. Let Singletary heal up. The Bills need to win in TEN more than vs NE. The upcoming stretch of games, largely at home, will dictate the Bills playoff chances more than today’s game. After that stretch the home games are fewer and road contests more difficult. If the Bills can reach the 5 or 6 win mark at the halfway point, a path to 10 wins looks realistic. If they stumble , it looks a lot less likely.
