  1. You can find those quotes and clips for yourself , as “ the crew” are media darlings. There is not shortage, but you must see for yourself if their ideas and statements are concerning and contrary to American principles of government( plus mind boggling to boot ) Even if you lump them all into the tweet, where is the “ racism” ? A place is not race. It can have a socialist culture, which is really the issue here. As for Trump, you paint with a broad brush. There is plenty to criticize about him , but the lefty siren call of “ racism” at every turn is propaganda. They need better ideas ( the bar is extremely low right now) and a better candidate. Not more phony outrage. Trump had to have been the most easily defeatable candidate for the Dems in decades. I love the sun.
  2. Well, three of them were. The one that wasn’t seems where the tweet was aimed. That individual has made anti Semitic statements , and they all seem to dislike many American principles. What isn’t hard to understand though, is that where they came from ( or their grandparents ) is a place , not a race. The tweet is not racist, nor is the statement. It’s about the foundation of American government vs a socialist style one.
  3. Maybe some do, but I feel even that is far overblown. The vast majority of us in WNY are not racists, and fortunately most Bills fans aren’t either. Some folks just need to lighten up a bit.
  4. Country of origin doesn’t = race. Sorry, but that statement isn’t racist. Journalists ( loosely) have really run off the rails with this. Not only telling us what is “ racist” , but even going so far as to call it the role of journalists to do so. The role is to report what was said, ( I.e the truth) and allow the reader to decide for themselves. Not sure when that was lost on them, but it’s ingrained in them to inject opinion into every story now.
  5. The Bills defense lost the game by allowing 40 minutes of possession time to a plodding, dinosaur offense. Many tackles were missed and execution was sloppy. The Bills offense scored 17 points in 19 minutes of possession. I’ve always thought the legend of Belichicks role in Supe XXV was vastly exaggerated. Seriously, a kick drifts two feet to the left and B.B. is a footnote in that game.
  6. Lighten up and have a sense of humor. The world is overly PC already and becoming more so every day due to weak mindedness. That sort of mind rot doesn’t need to permeate this board.
  7. You will not sway someone who is convinced that NEF provides an “ ideal traffic situation” . While a downtown stadium would likely be more congested than OP, it’s most certainly a workable scenario. Just not a perfect one. As we know, this stadium decision is about revenue generation, not traffic.
  8. Right. Notice I mentioned that 60k or so was but a fraction of that total so it would seem perfectly feasible that a similar size crowd could arrive over a period of several hours ( which Bills games tend to feature) then depart at a more compacted pace. And as I stated, fans make it to Foxboro for games regardless of the traffic being less than ideal.
  9. Flip flops are fine, but not fine for every situation or venue. Can work with jeans or shorts. Never, ever with socks. Never.
  10. This thread title is one universal truth that all on the board can agree upon.
  11. I agree. An estimated 500k descended upon a stretch of Delaware avenue at last weekends taste of Buffalo. Seems a hypothetical downtown stadium could handle 60k or so in an afternoon. I’ve heard that leaving Gillette is something akin to the scene after a concert at Darien Lake. Yet folks manage to go.
  12. That’s exactly the problem with these people, but say that and you’re a “ racist”. There’s a reason why a President must be American born. Her sympathies lie with her homeland, rather than the country she claims to love.
  13. I’m certain the B was a mistake, it was $400 million. It may not seem like much, but it was apparently a strong enough deterrent to do it’s intended job. T Pegs paid 1.2 billion for the Bills, so it’s one third of the price paid. Mere mortals may think that would be chump change, but we don’t know how an actual billionaire would think about that situation. Fortunately for Bills fans, it had at least some effect on the bidding process.
  14. Yep. Cherry picking at its finest. Does Marv Levy get credit for great coaching when Kelly was out and Reich stepped in to QB a stacked team ? Of course not. Most of the Brady- less wins came in ‘08 with Cassel guiding a team that went 16-0 in the prior regular season. Garrapolo was a fine backup , but the vaunted B.B. couldn’t defeat the Bills with the shmnuck QB that filled in for him. Belichick is a fine defensive coach ( why he gets so much credit for the offense on this board makes zero sense.), but defense doesn’t matter as much in the current NFL . Certainly not as much as it did in the early part of the Brady run. Just look at Belichicks record as HC prior to Brady. No excuses, just the record. As much as I hate the guy, it’s about 70% + Brady. To say he wouldn’t have been great on the Bills ( or anywhere else) is flat out laughable. The guy is self motivated , and crediting his abilities to any coach is crazy. You can’t make a silk purse from a sows ear. Give a healthy dose of credit for the offense to Josh McDaniels, regardless of his failures as a HC. He schemes up perfect gameplans for that team. This ones pretty easy folks. It’s TB. Superanalyzing the Pats seems to obscure the obvious. What the heck have we all been clamoring for on the board for years on end ? A great QB. Not a coach, a QB. It’s what matters. Now, can we stop with the Pats threads?
  15. All of them if they are not already “ in the program”. The NFL doesn’t test during the season. No no no. Do not add any bye weeks, they are terrible. Yep, and the first one isn’t much better. They can be eliminated and the players would probably push for this.
  16. I believe the part about 16 game eligibility was put in to appease the players. They don’t want to play more games. I don’t like the idea of only 16 game eligibility in an 18 game season, but I think much of this would take care of itself. Lots of starters miss games during the year, so it would be easy to choose which games to “ sit “ them for.
  17. The regular season schedule has been expanded in the past. The records are fine.
  18. No need for extra bye week. It’s purpose is only to add an extra week of games for networks as it is. 18 regular season games accomplishes this. Every game carries risk, even the preseason as we see each and every year.
  19. Damn, I don’t think anything would be worth that. Money, fame, Super Bowl win...
  20. Players receive game checks only after regular season games. The NFL takes over paying players during the playoffs with a set structure per player.
  21. Just get rid of 2 preseason games ( the first and last PS games are currently a jokefest) add 2 regular season games and keep it at one bye per team. Tweak the practice rules for more practice time and scrimmages to evaluate / make cuts. Something in there for the players and the owners.
  22. Interesting concept. Would you eliminate conference distinctions once playoffs are reached ? I’m not sure there is a need any longer for AFC vs NFC Supebowl. I hope not. 18 games is fine, but 2 bye weeks would suck. I recall a season in the 90’s that featured 2 bye weeks and it was brutal.
  23. True. they have been talking about this for a few years already.
  24. Correct. More televised games = more revenue. Bottom line, the quality of the game has decreased since they pretty much did away with practice. The players want to do as little as possible outside of actual games.
