This is Why Peole Go to Chick Fil A
Boatdrinks replied to RaoulDuke79's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Seems like pretty standard interview fare that any young person with half a brain could answer in a positive manner. They might not mean it, but they know how to give the answer that is being sought. They could be a left wingnut and bs their way through. I wouldn’t go as far as to put it in the unlikely category. Not these days. -
This is Why Peole Go to Chick Fil A
Boatdrinks replied to RaoulDuke79's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Hmmm. I go to Chik Fil A because the food is good, the stores are clean and the staff is friendly. It’s much better than a Micky Ds , but it’s quite possible an idiot like that could get hired at a Chik Fil A. -
Right on. I always thought Kelso was probably too analytical for some ( probably folks who liked Madden .. “ did’ya see that ? boom ! bam ! He got right up in there like a big ol’ slobber knocker and whammed ‘em. Dang that’s good stuff! “ ) but I liked him. Especially on the radio, where you don’t have the visual to go on. He’d be overkill on a TV broadcast, but I welcomed Kelso’s detail in telling you exactly what happened.

Are there any racist institutions? How and why.
Boatdrinks replied to TakeYouToTasker's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Some cannot handle being in the land of the free without feeling entitled to break the law, many of them repeatedly. Incarceration is not an investment so much as the cost of keeping the free safe from those who infringe upon them criminally. Studies dating all the way back to the 1960’s consistently show that the greatest predictor of educational success is the quality of the family that the student comes from, not the amount of money spent to educate them. -
Mitch Morse in concussion protocol
Boatdrinks replied to *******'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Good point. “ settlement” is only indicative of a change in the contract terms. That could be something as simple as changing the date that certain monies are to be received etc. -
Democratic 2020 Presidential Primary Thread
Boatdrinks replied to snafu's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
That’s the trouble with most of them, though she has other issues. I believe President Trump will serve a second term, barring some unforeseen Democratic candidate emerging with moderate ideas ( which seems almost certain not to happen). -
Mitch Morse in concussion protocol
Boatdrinks replied to *******'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Riding out his time on IR means being a part of the team and doing ( limited ) work, but includes all team activities. If ( a huge IF right now ) an Eric Wood type scenario were to develop , and Morse was told he would never play for the Bills there would be motivation on both sides to reach an injury settlement. The Bills to pay less money , and for Morse his “ freedom” amongst other things. I believe such a settlement would be a likely end in a case like that. I certainly hope it doesn’t happen. -
Democratic 2020 Presidential Primary Thread

As flawed as Biden is, he’s really the only one that has a prayer to win a general election for the Dems imo. -
Lemon is the biggest blow hard racist out there. Truly the most divisive “ journalist” I can think of.

I’ll agree with this. I don’t believe the same could be said if he claimed to be catholic. Anyway, it’s complicated. I voted for Trump ( and almost certainly will again) , but I’d vote for an atheist before I’d vote for a Christian , Catholic or a Democrat. Not exclusively for that reason, though.

Chiefs vs Saints

And that’s the problem with letting everyone in so easily. They have a sense of entitlement, and don’t want to assimilate. If it continues unabated , pretty soon you don’t have a country anymore. This is something that should concern all native born Americans, not just Trump supporters. It’s a real threat, as today’s immigrants are not the same as our great grandparents were.

Ravens having trouble selling tickets to opener
Boatdrinks replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It’s a good question. I believe secondary market resale has been very low for 2 years now. Many season ticket buyers were subsiding their own season tickets by purchasing extras and reselling them. Perhaps this is finally impacting the box office. I’ve always questioned if the blackout had much effect , and I still don’t believe it did. Going to a game is just a different experience from watching on TV. Bills fans like to consider themselves among the most rabid fan bases in the league, but the skimpy sales suggest otherwise. Especially with the average ticket price near the bottom of the league. Perhaps complacency has set in under the Pegulas ownership, with the franchise seemingly secure for the foreseeable future. Who knows ? it’s worth pondering. -
DirecTv Sunday Ticket- Potential big issues
Boatdrinks replied to Beast's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
These are retransmission agreements with local affiliates, similar to what a cable company would have with them. The worst case scenario IF no agreement is reached ( unlikely imo) is that you would need a Leaf ( or similar) antenna to receive those channels. However, it will not affect your Sunday Ticket package as those are out of market games only. Not a big deal and just a lot of posturing by local affiliates to squeeze the best deal out of DirecTV. -
NFL Network Top 100 Players - total snub?
Boatdrinks replied to Charles Romes's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I’ll agree with this. While these guys have internal motivation, I believe they constantly seek out external sources as well. It’s the way they stay on top. -
NFL Network Top 100 Players - total snub?
Boatdrinks replied to Charles Romes's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I wouldn’t , as it is a league network and that type of coverage is always available locally. -
NFL Network Top 100 Players - total snub?
Boatdrinks replied to Charles Romes's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I actually like the show and it’s hosts for the most part. My tolerance level for Pats coverage is low, so it colors my overall impressions. Most times, I switch the channel and come back to it. I don’t expect a ton of Bills related discussion, but they do put more out there than say NFL live on ESPN. Yes, and a LOT is an understatement. Regardless of their success ( and the fact that most football fans despise them outside of Boston) it is the NFL network. There are 31 other teams in the league and their focus on that one team is obsessive. Besides, their collective opinion is always something like “ event or injury X doesn’t matter, because we’ll its the Patriots” and the HC ( and by extension the players) are notoriously boring and mundane in interviews. So what’s to discuss ? -
NFL Network Top 100 Players - total snub?
Boatdrinks replied to Charles Romes's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I disagree. Yeah the GMFB crew gives the occasional shoutout to Bills mafia and whatever, but they’re just throwing a bone to the faithful. They quickly move on. Their obsession with the Patriots et al is undeniable to anyone watching for more than about 15 minutes. -
NFL Network Top 100 Players - total snub?
Boatdrinks replied to Charles Romes's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Again, the list is silly NFLN hype. I’d say most are aware it’s a player vote, ( so is the pro bowl, in part) but that often becomes a popularity contest. Players vote for their friends, those in contract years etc. The Bills are an afterthought on that network, and around the league in many ways. Bottom line, the list doesn’t mean much. -

Just silly NFLN hype. The Bills are afterthought in every aspect with their coverage. Doesn’t mean a thing.
