  1. I saw improvement after the first half. The patience he showed letting that delayed rusher come at him then deke him out was a thing of beauty. He wasn’t doing that in the first half. Talent shows through, he just needs to throw the ball away. That’s a lot more fixable than mechanical problems , weak arm etc. BB toys with young QBs, but I think JA might have pulled this out if he wasn’t cheap shotted in the dome.
  2. Nah. In case you missed it, JA had a pretty typical inexperienced QB day vs BB. Still, I felt he may have led them back up until the cheap shot by the Pats*. Heck, they might’ve won with Barkley in there. Too many turnovers , but Allen was still battling.
  3. 3. This team is starting to ascend, but not on the Patriots * level right now.
  4. Hightower out is a factor for sure. On the flip side, I hate that Collins is back in NE. He always seemed to cause negative plays vs the Bills in his first NE stint.
  5. Agreed. A loss today doesn’t do a ton of damage to the Bills 2019 season; at least not on its own. Let Singletary heal up. The Bills need to win in TEN more than vs NE. The upcoming stretch of games, largely at home, will dictate the Bills playoff chances more than today’s game. After that stretch the home games are fewer and road contests more difficult. If the Bills can reach the 5 or 6 win mark at the halfway point, a path to 10 wins looks realistic. If they stumble , it looks a lot less likely.
  6. Sorry, but this doesn’t hold water. We all know why certain moves were made , but those reasons are entirely secondary to the ultimate goal of winning. Facts are facts. Moves were made or not made, and the results will speak for themselves on the field. This absolutely does not mean the current construction of the Bills can’t win , and even win big. It just means that no explanations or reasons for decisions explained away by fans will change the record that ultimately decides the fates of those actually involved in “ the process”.
  7. Excellent point. Frazier needs to break his most maddening conservative tendencies in this game. His defensive calls are designed to force an offense to do exactly what NE excels at. Gotta mix it up to keep this close.
  8. I like Singletary and would feel much better if he was playing, but it’s not like losing a Saquon Barkley or anything. DS has gained some big yards on a few carries in a couple of games. He’s more like an X factor at this point, not an established elite player. He could have helped , but the game still was going to come down to Josh Allen not Singletary. Edelman is obviously established, but it’s been said his touches will be limited based on how he “ feels” ( ie how many big hits he gets from Bills defenders). Our rookie running back wasn’t going to carry the day in this one.
  9. Joe Montana and the 49 ers
  10. Can’t argue with this. While I’m fully invested in the current Bills, it doesn’t mean I can’t question some moves. While we all know the history ( it’s well worn territory on this board) I can’t help but wonder what the team would be like with Mahomes and Watkins as key offensive pieces. Doesn’t make me less of a fan, just one that wants to win. Moves that are made and moves that aren’t have consequences. These moves will ultimately decide Beane and McDs tenure here. It comes down to results.
  11. It’s a good thought, but I don’t see it. I don’t think the D will lay an egg today, but the offense vs Pats D will decide this one. They don’t have the solid, thumping running game to lean on and it’s even less without Singletary. Allen needs a signature game today and we will see if he is up to the task ( along with Daboll). I think this team is still a year away at the skill positions, and the OL while more talented hasn’t played together much. They will be severely tested by the BB defense , and he will throw multiple pass rush looks at them today. Allen’s escapability is the only possible way to defeat it. I agree with Gunners take, and how close this game is ( or isn’t) will be largely dictated by Josh Allen today.
  12. Remember 2011? Winning this game would be gravy ; it won’t make the season. Far too much football left to be played for that.
  13. Hmmmm, now how much will that move the line ? Seriously though, with that name it almost seems like he could be a WNY kid that you’d want to see do well. Unfortunately for him he has crossed to the dark side of the football force and now must die.
  14. I agree. Even worse, local news is now about a dozen separate weather segments with 6 minutes of news and about a minute of local sports ( the only reason left to even watch ). I’m not even sure why they put this stuff on the air anymore, but the focus on weather is absolutely nonsensical.
  15. In their defense , their options are more limited than say, a group of fans in this overly PC environment. We can all think of better jokes that could have been put on that board.
  16. That seems about right. An A shouldn’t be given freely, and there are very few “ A” coaches in the NFL. McD May get there, but it hasn’t happened yet.
  17. Yep. Remember that CD “ mob hits” ? I know, I know, dating myself a bit. CD , lol
  18. Not surprising, as it’s about the sures bett going in the Brady era. Cannot wait until it ends.
  19. Horrible.....if it’s a NY plate even worse. No excuse for that
  20. I’d argue that sloppy execution has been the issue far more than strategy to this point.
  21. More like an aggressive strain of the clap.
  22. I’d bet that it is as well. Most places cut corners these days , and often what is passed off as “ blue cheese dressing “especially at pizza joints is crap. I agree with your preferences on the blue cheese. The CF one I mentioned tastes to me like it has buttermilk and cracked black pepper in it , for example. Agreed, but as mentioned in this thread there are a lot of imposters passed off as “ blue cheese” now. Some don’t even have a crumb of blue cheese in them.
  23. What haven’t you liked about McDs game planning in 2019 ? Last year’s Bills were definitely not viable playoff contenders. No way that OL was playoff caliber , neither were the WRs so can’t agree there. Peterman is terrible, but again the question pertains to 2019.
  24. Yeah, they’re out there but few and far between. No way that dork LOL is a Chiefs fan though. No Chiefs fan alive can stand Marcia Brady and the Pats*, much less ballwash ‘em on a fan board !
  25. AFC West , breh. Go troll the Raiders board or Broncos or whatever.
