  1. Lol .. it was Tyrod but yeah pretty funny stuff
  2. Yep. This season it will be illegal contact so be prepared for lots of those as DBs “ figure it out”. On the flip side, the Bills don’t seem to be the beneficiary of a lot of those while on offense. Last year the emphasis was on offensive holding as seemingly none were called the first Covid season. Whatever, it goes in cycles of what the NFL thinks went by the wayside the previous season. I think it’s more likely the Bills get called for a critical illegal contact late in the game Thursday than the Rams.
  3. True. I mean I’ve never seen anyone with a Beane jersey in the stands. Still, he deserves some credit for the pick. In Trumpian fashion, I like GMs that don’t miss on 1st round QBs.
  4. There’s truth in this, but that’s almost always the case in the NFL. Being right with a high draft pick QB buys you a lot of time. A bust and you’ve got one foot out the door.
  5. Yep, genuinely concerned. Stepping back from the ledge though I think in the end it’ll be somewhere between A- OK and below average. Elam will be the only starter that hasn’t been in this system so the concern is probably overblown.
  6. Early 90’s Rick Tuten / Chris Mohr were pretty good
  7. I thought there’s a practice time issue with current rules and teams have moved away from backup QBs as holders .
  8. He wasn’t . Bills reportedly contacted him, probably to gauge interest. He’s apparently not interested in the Bills job.
  9. Probably wants to stay in Nashville for family reasons. Was supposedly considering retirement
  10. He’s 32 so I’d sure as hell hope not!
  11. That pretty much describes a lot of the Bills philosophy on defense anyway. That’s the case with or without White. There will be some differences but they’re not an attacking style defense.
  12. They won’t bring White back until he’s ready physically. They need him for the stretch run and playoffs. Besides, this team doesn’t rush players back from major injuries.
  13. It doesn’t , but the chances are less. Many plays are a struggle for him to execute. It’s a no brainer between him and Keenum.
  14. They were doing what they felt was in their best business interest at the time. As things developed, something changed and it was no longer in their best interest. Probably not, but the media sure wants it to linger for a long time.
  15. No hate, just realism. He’s a liability athletically. In real games against starters ( most teams anyway) the Bills have a better chance with Keenum.
  16. The vote should have taken place post playoffs. Too much critical football wasn’t factored in. The Thanksgiving timeline makes the list junk imo.
  17. I’d generally agree, though I did hear a national radio news broadcast yesterday that seemed to take a shot at the Bills yesterday- to my dismay. The closing sentence mentioned the plaintiffs attorney and his claim that the Bills ignored his communications with them.
  18. Pretty sure that $ amount would only apply if the Bills traded for Kern. He’s a veteran so no waivers : he’d be free to sign anywhere if released.
  19. This couldn’t be further from reality. The media are the ones doing the brainwashing - namely that theirs is the only acceptable worldview. Their opinions are generally despised by those who recognize this and are willing to speak up. Anyway, the Bills handled the situation well and hopefully didn’t make any decisions based on media reaction.
  20. Don’t forget the local news outfits , who feel the need to get on the virtue signaling train . I briefly caught a bit of WGRZ’s nonsense before I had a chance to change the channel after the golf tournament. They wondered why the “ victims” words weren’t enough to release Araiza earlier. Pure garbage, but not unexpected from our terrible local media.
  21. He also probably knows that a civil suit is going to be gussied up to sound as heinous and traumatizing as possible. Such things are written by attorneys- with all that implies. He’s a religious guy though , so maybe not as coarsened as some of us by what’s out there in the popular culture.
  22. Would not be a fan of this. Get Kern or similar as a short term solution.
  23. As a man of principles, perhaps McD’s faith in humanity was shaken by the cacophony of the media swarming like hyenas on a freshly killed carcass.
  24. Seems possible , but unlikely ? Something made them change their mind and my guess is that they’ve moved on at this point. Maybe they told him to get this cleared up and he’d be invited back to camp next year ( whatever option they go with for 2022 is likely to be more expensive than the rookie) but only Beane, McD and Araiza know what was said.
  25. I hope that this isn’t true, and that they recently became aware of something that didn’t jibe with what they were told to that point.
