  1. Skipped to the end so may be echoing others, but did anyone see Saffold made it and immediately think of Ruben Brown? Great for years, but playing in Pro Bowls in his 30s when really he would be of better use as a turnstile letting fans into the game.
  2. I think he will be too expensive, but love the idea of Perine. Don’t be surprised to see Singletary return. I suspect he won’t get much on the open market.
  3. To me, having more time to prepare for each play and less yards penalized against you are both legitimate competitive advantages.
  4. Thanks, great work as always! This is a great “cheat sheep” 😂
  5. 100%. I give as much of a **** about this as I would if the Dolphins had committed any of the following penalties (that each also result in a 5 yard penalty) 7-8 times without being called for it: - Encroachment - False start - Illegal formation - Illegal motion - Illegal shift - Neutral zone infraction - Offside - Running into the kicker - Too many men on the field Could you imagine if a team had even 3-4 uncalled clear instances of encroachment, false start, running into the kicker, or too many men? Bedlam. All for the play clock buzzer personally because adding subjectivity to the referees’ responsibilities is never the right call.
  6. Agreed. But I also think every OL position is fair game to be upgraded.
  7. I’ll admit I only watched a highlight video, and yes I get he’s small, but gotta bring Zay Flowers back up. Separation running routes, quickness squaring after making a catch, making guys miss with the football, full or close to full route tree, breaking tackles, playing with fire, and winning deep/jump balls.
  8. I think the team went through significant adversity and needs major personnel changes, at least on both lines, and at WR, and maybe LB and S.
  9. Ok the thought of a guy named McCorkle going against Allen, Rodgers, and Brady 6 times is kind of funny.
  10. I do think both teams at full health are fairly evenly matched. But clearly their depth on both lines is superior to ours and even some of our starters.
  11. Certainly was a lot of adversity. But adversity didn’t outmatch our offensive and defensive lines on most snaps. Edit: Elephant in the room implies something big people aren’t talking about. See covered “ad infinitum” above.
  12. Let’s just trade him for an All Pro OG already and be done with it.
  13. I too migrated here from there 🍻
  14. Kind of funny that this team could have used a Zay Jones or an Isaiah Hodgins down the stretch. Neither is a Higgins, but both can play.
  15. Agree with your point in general, but McDermott has not shown to be anywhere near as creative or prepared as Reid. Obviously I don’t mean head to head, but over the course of the season and with in game decisions.
  16. Not saying I want McDermott gone, but I will say this team’s repeated slow starts and being outmatched physically starts with the coach. Short leash for sure.
  17. Agree with this to a point. I think it’s an unholy marriage between the rely-on-rushing-4 scheme and 4-who-can’t-rush talent.
  18. Before the game I felt of all the outcomes Buffalo getting blown out was least likely. I was wrong. Both lines need serious retooling and reinvestment. Even without Miller and Jones who are admittedly significant losses, our 9th overall pick DT, 30th overall pick DE, 54th overall pick DE, and 61st overall pick DE got owned by a back-up offensive line. Anyone with eyes saw Allen running for his life. Both are not problems that popped up in this game, but instead long-term issues. People I’m not the least bit worried about: Beane, Allen, Cook, Hines, Diggs, Davis (so long as he’s viewed as a WR3), Knox, Dawkins, Miller, Jones, Milano, Johnson, Elam, STers. Our defensive scheme is inadequate. We lost Hyde and Miller, yes, but good coaches modify their schemes and get a Purdy-led offense into the Conference Championship. It comes down to philosophy. We need to be varied enough that we can go heavy man and jam WRs at times. Thing is it wasn’t just scheme. We often tackled poorly. While writing this I’ve come to the conclusion the worst marriage by far for the Bills is the rush-4-to-get-home scheme with repeated whiffs on high defensive line picks. We’re playing a scheme relying on talent we don’t have. It would have been nice for whoever is truly running the defense to rush 3 more yesterday. If 4 weren’t getting home then at least give coverage some help. Let Burrow try to run on you in the snow. This may be a situation where we need turnover at one or both coordinator positions but it doesn’t happen. I do wonder like others if Frazier getting fired changes much in the defensive philosophy/scheme anyways. It’s tough to look at the offense’s year-long production and say fire the rookie OC because he did a lot of great things and Allen evidently likes him. But it would be tough to pass up a Reich. The 24 Hour Rule should change to a 1 Week Rule for Playoff Losses. At the end of the day we are going into next year with Allen, Diggs, Milano, and Miller. We’ll be back in the playoffs. Hopefully we are a little healthier next year and grab that 1 seed. GO BILLS!
  19. By “that” do you mean hitting Davis in the hands/arms?
  20. What I saw was it hit Gabe’s hands/arms then the defender’s hand knocked it away. He could, and probably should, have caught it.
  21. Allen should try clapping. Seems to fix all McDermott’s problems.
