  1. If our Diggs said the same thing it wouldn’t matter. This shouldn’t matter either.
  2. Chad Hall COTY 2027.
  3. I’d say we’ve got a good 12 more years til he enters his prime.
  4. Put aside the “should he” for a moment and just imagine him hoisting the Lombardi. Not saying that to try to sway anyone to want his return, just that him going from dead on the field to champ the next year would be a crazy additional chapter to his already great story.
  5. Copying and pasting a note I made recently when thinking about division realignment: AFCN: CIN, CLE, IND, PIT AFCS: HOU, JAX, MIA, TEN AFCW: DEN, KC, LAC, LV AFCE: BAL, BUF, NE, NYJ NFCN: CHI, DET, GB, MIN NFCS: ATL, DAL, NO, TB NFCW: ARI, LAR, SEA, SF NFCE: CAR, PHI, NYG, WAS Not a ton of changes (AFCW, NFCN, & NFCW unchanged), but I think this more accurately reflects the teams’ locations and overall proximity.
  6. Ertz is my fallback if we can’t sign Maclin
  7. Is $5 million really too steep for a HB2 and KR/PR? I think not, so long as Dorsey actually uses (is allowed to use?) him as a true HB2.
  8. I think the idea of “WR2” and “WR3” may be a bit outdated. Most offenses nowadays I would think use 3-4 WRs regularly. Davis has shown he can be one of those 3-4. We need another guy who can also be part of that. Diggs, Davis, McKenzie/Shakir, and John Doe. Given Diggs’ age, Davis’ contract/inconsistently, and how the WE $ recently skyrocketed, I hope we get someone like Addison in Round 1. I want a separator, not a jump ball guy. Give Allen a new Beasley who gets open quickly and commands attention in the middle of the field, and I think you see Davis’ numbers return to form/meet expectations.
  9. Shot up out of bed to see if a car hit the front of the house this morning here in Elmwood Village! Seeing people posting their Ring doorbell videos makes me wonder if there is footage of the lake and if the quake caused ripples.
  10. One looks like he hasn’t eaten in weeks. One looks good in shorts.
  11. And on top of what you said, is this ranking by greatest résumés overall or current ability? If the latter, then I’m not sure Belichick is in Tier 1 anymore.
  12. We’ll see if this retirement lasts more than 40 days. Still think he’s a Dolphin next year.
  13. “Texans request to interview 49ers assistant Bobby Slowik for offensive coordinator job” https://www.49erswebzone.com/news/amp-166802/ Edit: Slowik was their passing game coordinator this year. They also interviewed (or requested to) Bengals WR coach Troy Walters.
  14. Great hire. We’ll see what they do at OC.
  15. Is the transition tag a possibility for Edmunds? At least transition tag is $17.48M vs. franchise tag at $20.93M. Maybe because the $3M gap is not worth losing the picks you would get if the offer is matched, but that is a guess.
  16. Just gotta look at the Dolphins game. Multiple times while MIA was on offense, the play clock went to zero and was there for 2-3 seconds after. More than a fraction of a second and unevenly enforced in favor of MIA.
  17. Skipped to the end so may be echoing others, but did anyone see Saffold made it and immediately think of Ruben Brown? Great for years, but playing in Pro Bowls in his 30s when really he would be of better use as a turnstile letting fans into the game.
  18. I think he will be too expensive, but love the idea of Perine. Don’t be surprised to see Singletary return. I suspect he won’t get much on the open market.
  19. To me, having more time to prepare for each play and less yards penalized against you are both legitimate competitive advantages.
  20. Thanks, great work as always! This is a great “cheat sheep” 😂
  21. 100%. I give as much of a **** about this as I would if the Dolphins had committed any of the following penalties (that each also result in a 5 yard penalty) 7-8 times without being called for it: - Encroachment - False start - Illegal formation - Illegal motion - Illegal shift - Neutral zone infraction - Offside - Running into the kicker - Too many men on the field Could you imagine if a team had even 3-4 uncalled clear instances of encroachment, false start, running into the kicker, or too many men? Bedlam. All for the play clock buzzer personally because adding subjectivity to the referees’ responsibilities is never the right call.
  22. Agreed. But I also think every OL position is fair game to be upgraded.
  23. I’ll admit I only watched a highlight video, and yes I get he’s small, but gotta bring Zay Flowers back up. Separation running routes, quickness squaring after making a catch, making guys miss with the football, full or close to full route tree, breaking tackles, playing with fire, and winning deep/jump balls.
  24. I think the team went through significant adversity and needs major personnel changes, at least on both lines, and at WR, and maybe LB and S.
