  1. This team hasn't gotten close to a Super Bowl, so I doubt they get much hype next year. In fact I expect the opposite- the Bills should be getting some rightfully earned questioning of why they continually underperform.
  2. I understand your point, I just don't agree w it completely You can obviously tailor drives or play calls or even whole game plans to specific opponents, but deviating from what all good analysis points to as the +ev strategy is going to introduce variance and make your offense less efficient
  3. It's a fair assessment imo The fact that this team hasn't sniffed a Super Bowl w prime Josh Allen on a cheap deal is borderline criminal mismanagement
  4. In terms of EPA I mean https://blogs.cornell.edu/info2040/2019/10/20/passing-and-rushing-plays-in-the-nfl/
  5. Well because running the ball is -ev compared to throwing it, for starters I was one of the few satisfied w Dorsey personally
  6. No you got it, we just disagree on some points For example I believe it's been proven that the quality of your run game actually does not in fact open up the passing game via a vis play action, this is a good explanation of it here but there are more similar studies https://cowboyswire.usatoday.com/2020/01/18/nfl-analytics-study-running-the-ball-play-action-success-mike-mccarthy-dallas-cowboys/ 100% agree Singletary was good enough for our purposes as an RB but may have left something to be desired in pass catching and pass pro overall kind of how McKinnon was such a revelation for the Chiefs
  7. So two things to address here- first the Bills have never been committed to a consistent rush attack since Allen became starter. I believe it's a combination of factors including the state of the offensive line as well as philosophically they don't believe in it but it's been a consistent theme carried over from Daboll, not a Dorsey specific issue It sort of touches on a front office that believes strongly in their offensive philosophy which they don't really prioritize (correctly, imo) the kinds of things like the bolded because they're outdated and -ev. Last year the teams with the highest average drive time were the Packers, Steelers, Raiders, Falcons, and Browns respectively. These are bad offenses. They're bad because they don't score points or gain a lot of yards...because they don't have good passing attacks...because they don't have good QBs...so they run the ball a lot...which takes up a lot of time/drive
  8. You don't increase efficiency by throwing the ball less tho Throwing the ball is always more efficient than running it
  9. That guy is just a troll This is all correct👍
  10. n/a
  11. I mean we were talking about playoffs specifically I thought If not, yes both offense and defense have been excellent during the regular season. But only the offense had been able to sustain their level in the postseason.
  12. On a scale of 1-7 doesn't 4 kind of have to be your average
  13. Since Allen has been QB the offense has averaged 26.75 points/game in the playoffs. For reference that would be good for 6th best in the league last regular season in PPG, and borderline top5 in any given year In that same timeframe the defense has averaged 25.5 points against. That would rank 30th
  14. If we are talking strictly about the playoffs the defense is not close to good enough
  15. If that's the case we are in trouble I'm not counting on Miller coming back at 100%
  16. I want to know who compiled those rankings because Daron Payne was one of the best DTs in the league last season
  17. That's been the Bills offense the last 4 years
  18. Pretty sure you made up like half these bames
  19. No offense but this is a bad graphic and full disclosure I am a big fan of the cover1 guys categories 1-5 are all basically the same in that we know he gets the ball downfield at a high rate: that means TDs will be high, adot high, ypc high, and explosive play percentage (basically a deep reception) all high. It's not that meaningful. 1st down rate is similarly connected. The issue w Davis is that he doesn't do anything except catch the ball downfield that well, PLUS he's a dropper of catchable passes. That's not really wr2 material imo
  20. I mean he had the lowest ADOT among Bills pass catchers so you'd certainly hope so targets/catches does not equal reliability
  21. LOL Knox is so overrated by this board he really doesn't do anything at a high level- can't block well, runs sloppy routes, just an average player overall He is not a mismatch in any sense. Defenses aren't gameplanning Dawson Knox
  22. We struggled vs the Jags under Daboll Dorsey was fine imo
  23. I chalk a lot of it up to the Jets and Dolphins defenses improving We played a more difficult defensive schedule in 2022 than 2021 w similar results
