  1. I mean this is basically like not only prime Arsenal w Henry not winning the Premiership but missing out on top4 year after year I guess the consolation prize is in every year the Bills don't win the SB is another year is another year closer to McDermott getting fired
  2. So why do you feel justified in admonishing people to just enjoy the ride when there are multiple examples of organizations who have achieved more with less in the same timeframe or shorter?
  3. This is the guy they brought in mind you to replace the guy who they fired just a couple years after winning the Super Bowl. The Eagles can rightfully feel confident in their organization. Im not so sure that same level of confidence you appear to have in the Bills is justified.
  4. Of course Philly didn't squander anything last year. Their second year HC took a mid tier second year QB to a Super Bowl.
  5. Allen 4th lol
  6. nope Bills still favored to win division by almost 2-1 at +130 to Jets +245 as of right now, Dolphins in third at +305
  7. Iirc they had some big drops too Either hill or waddle early that would have gone for 6
  8. It's tough because they'd all have to have comparable talent to really answer but probably Belichick, then McDaniel, then McDermott and last Saleh imo
  9. i mean they almost beat us in the playoffs at home last year
  10. Dolphins are a threat for sure just not sure about how sustainable they are...both offense and defense are kind of boom or bust imo. Even last year when they were putting up those big numbers they seemed inconsistent w some ridiculous stretches of big plays
  11. nice lol i admit i did not read it
  12. 1- yes jets finish second w WC 2- No but close second to AFCW I think 3- Tua both Hill and Waddle are legit 4- jets 5- no idea
  13. It's definitely not a trainwreck Its like they prioritize not missing value in the mid rounds which is why you get a lot of the high floor guys the league is littered with, people hate the safe picks but that's how NFL rosters are built Whether they should start taking more risks wrt where the Bills are at in their SB trajectory is a conversation worth having however imo
  14. Saying the defense bailed out the offense in a game where the offense scored every time they touched the ball is something
  15. This team hasn't gotten close to a Super Bowl, so I doubt they get much hype next year. In fact I expect the opposite- the Bills should be getting some rightfully earned questioning of why they continually underperform.
  16. I understand your point, I just don't agree w it completely You can obviously tailor drives or play calls or even whole game plans to specific opponents, but deviating from what all good analysis points to as the +ev strategy is going to introduce variance and make your offense less efficient
  17. It's a fair assessment imo The fact that this team hasn't sniffed a Super Bowl w prime Josh Allen on a cheap deal is borderline criminal mismanagement
  18. In terms of EPA I mean https://blogs.cornell.edu/info2040/2019/10/20/passing-and-rushing-plays-in-the-nfl/
  19. Well because running the ball is -ev compared to throwing it, for starters I was one of the few satisfied w Dorsey personally
  20. No you got it, we just disagree on some points For example I believe it's been proven that the quality of your run game actually does not in fact open up the passing game via a vis play action, this is a good explanation of it here but there are more similar studies https://cowboyswire.usatoday.com/2020/01/18/nfl-analytics-study-running-the-ball-play-action-success-mike-mccarthy-dallas-cowboys/ 100% agree Singletary was good enough for our purposes as an RB but may have left something to be desired in pass catching and pass pro overall kind of how McKinnon was such a revelation for the Chiefs
  21. So two things to address here- first the Bills have never been committed to a consistent rush attack since Allen became starter. I believe it's a combination of factors including the state of the offensive line as well as philosophically they don't believe in it but it's been a consistent theme carried over from Daboll, not a Dorsey specific issue It sort of touches on a front office that believes strongly in their offensive philosophy which they don't really prioritize (correctly, imo) the kinds of things like the bolded because they're outdated and -ev. Last year the teams with the highest average drive time were the Packers, Steelers, Raiders, Falcons, and Browns respectively. These are bad offenses. They're bad because they don't score points or gain a lot of yards...because they don't have good passing attacks...because they don't have good QBs...so they run the ball a lot...which takes up a lot of time/drive
  22. You don't increase efficiency by throwing the ball less tho Throwing the ball is always more efficient than running it
