  1. Most of the year, poor quarterback play plagued a mostly decent roster. Drew Lock came in and IIRC went 5-1 to close out the year. They also gave him a lot of weapons, having an improved running backs corps, took a receiver in rounds 1 and 2 (both among the best route runners in the class), and had a first round rookie tight end last year that preformed well, and likely will get better. There is a reasonable chance that they are significantly improved this year, and that would be largely due to their offense improving.
  2. Here's my thoughts on the subject, don't know for sure if they are true. Gaines is a "senior personel advisor", That sounds to me like a job that has less to do with the draft, and more with vets. If that is the case, it would make sense for him to not be at the head table for the draft.
  3. Do you know that Jameis Winston has more career completions to saints than Taysom Hill does?
  4. Note to those putting the roster at 55: The roster is still 53. The 55 is from 2 practice squad players that are brought up on Sunday every week to the active roster, and then returned. These players can be poached! For this exercise, treat the roster as 53 players, and if you want to, designate a couple practice squad eligible players to be those 2.
  5. As the 49ers in 3.0, I traded down from 13 and selected Wr and DT with my first 2 picks. The Wr was Aiyuk.
  6. My best shot: QB: (3) Allen/Barkely/Fromm Rb: (3) Singletary/Moss/Jones (I think Yeldon might be gone, he was inactive all year, and Jones helps special teams. Who knows how Wade has progressed, he likely won't make it, but it is possible.) FB: (1) Gillam (Could be a surprise here- the versatility of Gillam might unseat Dimarco, plus if he makes it, we could carry 3 TEs instead of 4) TE: (3) Knox/Kroft/Sweeney (Not convinced we won't keep Smith, but I hope we cut him) Wr: (7) Diggs/Brown/Beasely/ Davis/McKenzie/Hodgins/Roberts (If we keep the rest of the offense like that, I could see keeping 7 Wr, Davis and Hodgins mean Duke is gone.) OT: (4) Dawkins/Ford/Nseke/Williams (Pretty easy group) IOL: (5) Spain/Morse/Feliciano/Long/Bates (Bates has flexibility to OT too.) DT: (5) Lotulelei/Butler/Jefferson/Oliver/Phillips DE: (4) Hughes/Addison/Epenesa/Murphy Lb: (6) Edmunds/Milano/Klein/Thompson/ Matakevich/Joseph CB: (5) White/Wallace/Norman/T. Johnson/Jackson (Gaines is too injury prone, might not even make it through camp healthy) S: Hyde/Poyer/Neal/J. Johnson K: Bass P: Bojorquez LS: Ferguson
  7. We will not be keeping 10 DL. At least One of Murphy/ Johnson will not make this team, barring a trade.
  8. I have a feeling I am not gonna know anything about the rest of our picks
  9. I don't want anything to do with Peoples-Jones. He's athletic, sure, but could not produce in college. 0 100 yard games in college. I don't think he topped 500 yards in a season.
  10. I think Gandy-Golden could be an upgrade in certain scenarios. He is 6'4" with a giant catch radius.
  11. Darn, the Broncos taking Albert Okwuegbunam. Do they care about defense at all?
  12. Moss was injured at the combine and still ran. He later posted a 4.52. not blazing fast, but more reasonable.
  13. Please Beane, work your magic to get these in rounds 4-6. 54 A.J. Epenesa , EDGE 86 Zack Moss , RB 128 Albert Okwuegbunam , TE 167 Antonio Gandy-Golden , WR 188 Shaquille Quarterman , LB 207 Lamar Jackson , CB 239 Binjimen Victor , WR
  14. I do not want anything to do with Peoples-Jones. He had poor production at the college level, I do not see why people thought he should go in the 3-4 rounds. He also will not separate at the NFL level.
  15. Beane putting in a solid draft so far. Happy we didn't draft Dobbins in the second since Moss was there in the third.
  16. Espensa to the Seahawks would make sense here, he's a good scheme fit for them.
  17. I'm surprised Josh Jones hasn't come off the board yet. Wouldn't be opposed for him to be our pick at 54.
  18. Personally, I think they would be better suited to work on protecting him.
  19. Personally, I would think that would be a dumb pick. Provided AJ Green is healthy, Wr is one of their strongest positions, and they have a lot of weaknesses.
