  1. Zack Baun, I believe, did not pull a moronic move. His problem was that he drank too much water in attempt to artificially raise his weight and draft stock. This caused his urine sample to be dilluted, which is a yellow flag, as it is a way to not get caught with certain drugs. Now it could be that he is lying about the purpose of drinking the water, but we don't know that. Innocence until proven guilty and all that.
  2. With the 41st overall pick, the 49ers select Justin Madibuike, DL, Texas A&M. There were better players available at running back and wide receiver, but being very, very deep at Rb, and already taking a Wr in round one discouraged taking either of those positions so high. We went with Justin Madibuike to help mitigate some of the damage of losing Deforest Buckner. At this point in the draft, there is a lot of inconsistency around player values. Madibuike tends to be around 40, so this pick fills a need, and is reasonable value. @aristocrat and the Jaguars are on the clock. Side note: Aristocrat and the Jaguars sounds like a girl-band name to me.
  3. Well, I guess either way I played it, I wouldn't have gotten both Biadasz and Davidson. He would have been my next pick.
  4. With the 39th overall pick in the 2020 NFL draft, the San Francisco 49ers select Tyler Biadasz, IOL, Wisconsin. We lost our starting Right Guard from last year, and we believe Biadasz can come in and compete for that position. He fills a need, is one of the best players available, and has a top 5 name in the draft. @Might Rather and the Houston Texans are on the clock. The 49ers issue a public statement of frustration at the mods who snatched Diggs away from their clutches.
  5. The San Francisco 49ers select Brandon Aiyuk, Wr, Arizona State. Some boards consider Aiyuk the best Non-Rb left. The 49ers have a need at Wr after Emmanuel Sanders left in free agency. This is a very desirable scenario for the 49ers, after they watched Ruggs and Jeudy go 14 and 15 when they had plans to move up to 16 for one of them. We expect a run of Wrs between this and our next pick, so this was the time to strike. @Buffalo716 and the Kansas City Chiefs are on the clock.
  6. The Bills did not "let him walk". They traded him for Jordan Matthews and a 3rd.
  7. Drafting a DL high because we are spending a lot of money on DL is dumb IMO. It's basically saying: we are spending a disproportionate amount of money on DL, so let's allocate a disproportionate amount of our one other resource, draft picks, on DL. It does not make sense. Now is it dumb to pick a DL player early? Not necessarily. Does it really even matter where our money/cheap talent(draft picks) is allocated? I understand it makes like easier if top dollar positions are filled with cheap talent (Cb1,DE1,Lt, QB) but as long as you can balance it out so that there are areas you are spending below average, to cancel the above average spending on DL and other positions, you should be fine.
  8. Yeah, I'm just waiting for my trade partner to give you guys the okay.
  9. With the trade for Diggs, the bills actually upgraded 3 starting positions on offense, 1 Wr, 2 Wr, and 3 Wr.
  10. San Francisco is listening to offers on either the 13th and the 31st overall picks.
  11. I wouldn't say we were thin at DE. Linebacker, I would agree with. But at DE, we have 4 players who have proven they can play there in the NFL, along with one developmental prospect. Indeed, we could use some youth at the position. Quinton Jefferson actually played more steps at DE than he did at any other position last year.
  12. I believe that Prince Tea Wanogho is likely to go in the second. He is a high upside tackle that needs some development. I have seen him mocked in the second many times. As for Tight ends, the only one that I would be okay with in the second is Cole Kmet.
  13. Try the search function Or just read the first page of topics.
  14. Bills were a rhetorical #1. Throw in the Browns for #5 then?
  15. I would like the Vikings, Niners, Ravens, or Chargers please
  16. I would think to make this a fairish draft, you would have to do something like 123...30,31,32,32,31,30...2,1,1,2...30,31,32,32,31...
  17. Possibly DT. But maybe not 1T. In the 4-3 our depth chart at one of the DT spots is Ed Oliver, Quinton Jefferson, and Harrison Phillips. I doubt that they would keep a fourth tackle in this specific group, and the value of upgrading on Harisson Phillips wouldn't be worth it comparws to having another player.
  18. Obviously different cases, but I know that going up against my brother in practice elevated my intensity in basketball/soccer. Can't let your brother beat you. With them being positions that face off regularly, it wouldn't be shocking for there to be a similar effect.
  19. That also depends on the big board too though. Some are decent. Josh Edwards of CBS' is pretty bad.
  20. He has good size, speed, strength, can win 50/50 balls, and is very versatile. His 2 biggest concerns are injury problems, and his route running could use some polishing. He has a high ceiling but a pretty low floor. Boom or Bust prospect
  21. Let's assume the OP is right, and Josh Allen is not a franchise Qb, and Tua will be. We would not have the draft capital to move up and get Tua. We do not even have a first this year. Tua will go in the top 10, likely the top 5. If we were to try to trade Josh Allen, that would send signals to the teams buying that they would be better off just taking Tua themselves. By trying to trade Josh we would be showing our hand that we are going for a new Qb, and that would show that the team that knows Josh best would rather have Tua. It just isn't feasible.
  22. Nobody in the world can run at 23 mph for 30 seconds. 23 mph was likely his peak and he probably just touched it. For refrence, 23 mph would be a 9.73 second 100 meter dash, an Olympic caliber time.
  23. This trade is a separate matter from the Hopkins trade. 2 years ago, Cooks was traded for a first, then went and had a career best in yards. Before this year, he had 4 straight 1000+ yard, 16 game seasons. For a rough equivalent of an early third, this is a reasonable trade. (Late second for Cooks and a fourth)
