Good stuff. You guys nailed it. Only thing I’d change is that I wouldn’t be happy with Jonah on the Bills. He is going in the first round, even if they traded back I could name 32 other guys I’d rather take a swing with.
Quick glance at the chart and it’s close. I didn’t even check before hand. OP said just include top three rounds. Toss in an additional day 3 pick and the deal wouldn’t be far fetched.
Trade down to 30 with GB. Get an extra second and third.
Draft Risner, Tillery, Butler, Sanders.
Trade both 3rds to get back into the second for Butler or Sanders whoever you didn’t get with your second rounders.
I agree, if I couldn’t find any reasonable trade down scenarios I would go with upside. I’d take Metcalf and hope for the best. A lot of the other options look like guys who would be serviceable but nothing better than a maybe on a 5th year option.
I’d hate that board.
A fair amount of the guys covering the NFL bashed the Allen pick hard enough that walking it back this soon would be a bad look for their own brand. I expect to see a bunch of well... “if they had a QB”
Those guys won’t back peddle until the wins are on the board. The Nick Wrights of the world.
Both of those comments stuck out for me as well. I’m all for being critical but this article is trash. The plan is simple, he bolstered the roster with short term contracts and he is counting on his scouting department to infuse the roster with higher end talent through the draft.
See the pile of draft picks over there!? See Josh Allen and Edmunds? That’s what Beane is counting on.
Trade back with GB for their 30th pick, you’d get an additional second and third.
Draft Risner, Tillery, Sanders, then Trade both 3’s and come up into the second again and snag Butler.
Reminds me of Shaq, just not quick enough off the snap to be anything but a JAG. He will probably have a healthier and more productive season than Murphy though.
