I don’t think that’s true. What’s the benefit of depending on two old guys at RB? It’s a bad decision for a few reasons. First and most importantly is the chance they are both productive and healthy with the amount of mileage on those legs. Second, even if they can manage that, what happens next year? Does Beane and McD tempt fate again and then it finally bites them? I just think it’s always better to be a year early than a year late. The position needs to be addressed. If they draft a young guy and mix him in, then I’m on board. If they go into the season with Shady/Gore and a scrub RB then the backfield has a good chance of being this years Peterman. Not that Shady or Gore are a Peterman level of bad, just that it would be a head scratching decision from otherwise sound decision makers.

PBrown short for Panties Brown. At that height of Gronk’s career he was arguably the best TE ever. Size, strength, speed, hands, determination. He had it all going for him and was one of the biggest mismatches in the NFL not just the TE position. Other TEs had longer runs of being good but I don’t remember anyone being better than Gronk at his peak. I’m glad he is gone. Elbowing dropping Tre because he was frustrated is going to be my lasting memory of him. That and the non reaction by Brown and company.

Isn’t he a 3-4 guy anyways? I didn’t even know the Bills were interested. Some of these guys with injuries don’t get early offers because teams want them in for physicals which can’t take place until FA officially starts. I guess I don’t put much notice as to when a player signs. I look at what $ they got. That’s usually a better indication of how much a team values them. Houston got released 3 days before FA started, that probably factored in.

Justin Houston isn’t a “next day guy” The Bills signed some “next day guys” early in FA. I’d say Morse, Cole B, and John Brown were guys that moved the needle a bit. They fit and they will provide stability in much needed positions. The other guys are all wild cards. Hope a few of them come up aces and draft well.

Patriots used to suck, they didn’t sell out and they were always blacked out. The Bills were always on. Fell in love and haven’t looked back since. Patriots started selling out again when Kraft bought the team and drafted Bledsoe. That made it hard to watch every game until they started streaming Sunday Ticket. Yehaw.

They said on the radio today it was like 140 per day. Not sure how accurate it was.

I selected the first option. McD didn’t get any major contributors in FA for the defense, he will want one come draft day. Oliver Butler Sanders Trade the rest of the picks in for beer. We will need it for all the parades and SB parties.

Williams just seems like a guy who would be ok and leave the team with a decision come his 5th year option. Oliver is a guy who could easily earn that option if he decided too. I went with Oliver. Williams has a lower ceiling and would represent a “safe” play. The Bills aren’t in position to play it safe. Swing for the fences.
