  1. A good QB should be able to win throwing the ball 50-60 times per game and having zero help in the run game. Allen throws for 35/60 and 375 yards 5TDs 2INTs vs Miami.
  2. I don’t believe playing fearless is the right thing to tell your players. Is that to suggest the past month they’ve been playing fearful? Like are they seeing ghosts? I believe McD should have said play to the best of your ability and be aggressive. You all have talent. Play your assignment, do your job, and when the time comes and the play comes to you, use all your training and ability and make a play.
  3. Do my 10 coins get a: WR1, TE1, RT1, RG1?
  4. Oliver to me has been solid. He hasn’t done enough to warrant the high pick but I’m not disappointed in his play. He’s a bit undersized at DT and will benefit from the humble pie that has been his 2019 season.
  5. Kaepernick should be in the NFL, as a backup. I believe Baltimore is the best fit.
  6. Allen is the same age (23) right now that Tom Brady was his rookie season in 2000. Let’s be honest, Allen is unpolished and is simply asked to not lose the game. They want to win with defense and not turning the ball over. Allen has gotten much better at not throwing picks. Where we need to see progression is in recognizing the blitz and where and when to hit the checkdown.
  7. Daboll is coaching the way McD wants him to. Limit turnovers, limit penalties, take check downs.
  8. We’ve gotten a little bit better passing but worse at running.
  9. Let’s assume Housemoney makes that kick. What is the likely outcome of that game? Teams that win the OT coin toss win 52.7% of the time. Assuming the FG is a 50/50, Toss 50/50?
  10. If we don’t beat the Dolphins it doesn’t matter. But I’ll take the bait... @ Miami - W (7-3) H Denver - W (8-3) @ Dallas - L (8-4) H Baltimore - W (9-4) @ Pittsburgh - W (10-4) @ New England - L (10-5) H NYJ - W (11-5)
  11. Lots of problems biggest one is lack of extended drives and abandoning the running game and not being able to hit a deep ball.
  12. Allen throws for 500 yards and 8 TDs sounds good but I’ll settle for Bills 3 Browns 0.
  13. He has the physical & mental. Now it’s just basically confidence and recognition that he’s developing. The improvement is evident as he’s scrambling and stepping up in the pocket to create space and keeping his eyes downfield looking to throw first. Unlike 2018 he isn’t tucking it and running on all scrambles. I want to see him continue to do this. He’s playing very efficient as of late. The next challenge is can he lead our offense when our defense is having a bad game?
  14. Dez Bryant hasn’t been healthy since 2014. He did manage to play all 16 games in 2017, although his completion per target percentage dipped to 52%. This at a time NFL personnel were saying he’s lost his ability to separate. Add in an achilles injury last season and he’s basically a dead man walking on the field. If Duke Williams who is 26 can’t get separation Dez has no chance.
  15. Allen gets two road games in favorable conditions Miami (warm) & Dallas (dome). I’ve noticed he’s even more effective when the wind isn’t messing with his passes. He can just let it rip. Expect one those games he eclipses 300 yards.
  16. We don’t know what DK Metcalf (29 receptions 529 yards 5 TDs) could have done in Buffalo but no one can argue he hasn’t had more of an impact than Ed Oliver. Metcalf is a beast and would have dominated catching Allen’s heaters. I haven’t studied All-22 of Oliver but from what I’ve seen he hasn’t made 1/2 the penetrating run stuffing plays Kyle Williams seemed to do on a weekly basis. Is it lack of ability in penetrating or simply being doubled?
  17. Bills 2 - Redskins 0.
  18. The worst fans usually are the best.
  19. I believe Sal took issue with Schopp’s critique that the 2019 Bills under Beane & McD are not as good as the 2014. Sal is a big picture guy and Schopp was taking a cheap shot at the Bills FO & IMO. I was all for a Geno Atkins or AJ Green trade but I’m not upset it didn’t happen given the Bills reasoning which is draft centric. Objectively speaking the 2019 Bills have much to build from picks & open cap space. The 2014 Bills had no long term future with Orton under center & Backup QB EJ Manuel. Doug Whaley & Brandon desperately gave up too much for Watkins (2015 1st & 4th rounders) when other WRs were still on the board. So in many ways it boils down to what we have in Allen. Fortunately for us our future doesn’t hinge on his ability to improve as a QB. We will have the money and draft assets to easily find a replacement.
  20. What about QBs who have rushed for 100 yards before passing for 300?
  21. A win is a win. I’ll take Bills 3 Redskins 2.
  22. In the next two weeks Sean McDermott can end two streaks since he took over as coach. Having never won his game 8 or game 9 of the season. Game 8 2017 Bills 21 NJJ 34 Game 9 2017 Bills 10 NO Cheaters 47 Game 8 2018 Bills 6 NE Cheatriots 25 Game 9 2018 Bills 9 Chi 41 For starters I couldn't think of an easier task before him. Beat a lowly 1-7 Redskins team, and follow that up against a presumably hopeless Cleveland Browns. Accomplish this mission and McD can say he's won a Game 8 & Game 9 on the season. For starters McD already ended one of his losing streaks already this season having taken down the Eli led GMen in Week 2. On a positive note McD is now 6-5 in September, 6-5 in October. So far McD is 3-4 in November and playing 500 ball in December 5-5.
