  1. How are tickets ‘clawed back’? I presume they use computers and that the software isn’t overly sophisticated and that they were the exclusive seller at 10am. I mean, there’s been computer-generated reserved seating/ticketing since the 70’s, right?
  2. I am fascinated by adults who fear bad mojo, bad juju, or whatever else it’s called. I’m not knocking it. It’s your right to have any phobia you want. It’s just interesting to me that in an advanced society, superstitious beliefs with zero scientific basis can be so pervasive. A lot of people will wear their ‘lucky shirt’ on Sunday. Hey, keep the good vibes cooking with that that well-worn Bills top if that’s what gives comfort!
  3. Thanks for researching it. I’m surprised it’s that low. It seemed to melike opponents don’t usually have trouble hitting 2-pointers.
  4. And 2 pt conversions. I have no way to look up that stat as far as I know, but it wouldn’t surprise me if their failure rate defending 2 pt conversions is around 80%.
  5. It sounded like Shady let the cat out of the bag and then realizing (oops) tried to backtrack by saying “Micah told me he might play [this week]”
  6. I noticed on the NBC game the images seemed much sharper. I don’t know how much of this is due to positioning of cameras in different stadiums, daylight or artificial lighting. Or just better technology. I’m frustrated that I bought a Sony 4k TV* 5 years ago and there’s almost never football in 4k. * this stupid TV needs to go through 15 minutes of multiple-try reset procedures half the time just to turn it on. Ready to put it at the curb.
  7. I don’t consider it bashing. I believe we just see areas of his game that have occasionally gotten sloppy and if corrected, nobody will stand a chance against the offense. Josh admits it in every post-game press conference. How many times has he said there are mistakes they need to learn from. Don’t confuse our hope for continued improvement in his play as ‘bashing’.
  8. Agree. Heard one of the highlights and he described one of the players as being ‘hotter than a firecracker’. Just sounded scripted and not spontaneous- as if he’d been saving that one in his Rolodex of metaphors to sound colorful. If I had to listen to radio I want a good description and a fair amount of excitement when something exciting occurs, but I don’t need a fanboy whose voice goes up 3 octaves during a big play. edit: just heard montages of Brown’s calls. My god, he couldn’t be more annoying. He thinks the Rick Jeannette NHL style of PBP is perfect for a Bills’ broadcast. Thank goodness I never have to rely on the WGR radio broadcast. Here’s a tip Chris…go listen to some vintage Van Miller. He could create excitement without sounding like the screaming rug rat in the booth behind you at your local restaurant.
  9. Mostly agree, though it could easily have been a different outcome with a more experienced passer and a few less drops by Miami receivers.
  10. What’s puzzling to me is that the Bills have Joe Brady and Mike Shula on staff. Both are tenured NFL offensive coaches with years of experience who should be available for counseling and mentoring the first year OC. Can they not help Dorsey to have more imagination with play design and implementation? In a previous posting I asked the question ‘is Dorsey a frustrated ex-QB who’s living vicariously through Allen and just wants to throw bombs all day?” in 2022, Josh has frequently regressed back to ‘the hero ball’ novice he was 3 or 4 years ago. He’s become impatient, careless with the ball, improvising too much, and his inconsistent accuracy has receivers often reaching high or scooping from the turf to make catches. The Bills are winning, but they’re living dangerously. Unless they eliminate sloppy play and start playIng like a Championship team, we may have just seen our last Bills victory of the 2022 season.
  11. What drive? Maybe having a a former QB as OC is a problem. Move the chains dummy. Use the clock-you’re in front! Quit trying to get it all in one shot:
  12. The Bills’ play calling is so unimaginative.
  13. He was being held. Should’ve been PI
  14. The team that got in the playoffs with a losing record. Gee…that’s a tough one 🙃
  15. Would prefer 3 home games, but if it comes down to KC-Buf…Atlanta would be perfect for me. 35 minutes away.
  16. I’m still cautiously skeptical that we’ll see him on the active roster. How many weeks was Tre practicing before he was active? I’d be shocked if he’s available to play the following week. Maybe AFCCG if they get that far. Btw- I think a lot of us are practically assuming we’ll meet KC in the championship game. Any of these games could be a shocker/upset. The Bills’ storybook season may be over in 4 days. It doesn’t seem possible. Hoping for the best of course! Go Bills! Squish the fish!
  17. That’s another interesting hindsight hypothetical. In a do-over knowing what you know now, do you take Jefferson over Diggs? Mahomes over Allen? My gut says ‘no’ to both even though metrics may point the other way. How do you measure the chemistry that is present with Diggs, Allen, et al? The one big plus with Jefferson would have been a rookie contract that could free up money for another position. But …Diggs is such a great Buffalo Bill!
  18. I would love to have a TE in the Gronk/ Kelsey mold. when the Vikings got Hockenson from Detroit for a 2nd (and something else I believe), my first thought was that if I were Beane and knew Hockenson was on the block, I would’ve countered with a first round pick. Knox is a decent enough TE, but I don’t know that he’s at the level that opposing teams have to plan around.
  19. I have to agree. Not seeing a lot of dump offs to the flat, screens, or quick outs to RBs. Brady’s bread and butter has always been that quick rhythm…1,2,3 pass. Comparatively, Josh looks like he’s back there forever waiting and hoping for the open receiver before he rolls out (usually to his right) to buy more time. Is this on Josh? Does he spend too much time looking for the big downfield plays and missing open men for short yardage? Is it on Dorsey to get more creative? Where are the Jet sweeps and pulling guards (and Morse) on screens that were successful for the Dabol offenses? Why, with a running threat like Josh are there not better designed RPOs? Mahomes has made a career of those cute shovel passes to Kelsey that catch a defender in the middle, having to choose between pursuing the mobile Mahomes or covering the receiver. Just hope they’ve been saving this bag of tricks for the playoffs.
  20. Just to reiterate- he has been released from UC and able to travel to Buffalo where he’ll remain in hospital for further evaluation and therapy. Just so the ‘released from hospital’ news doesn’t get misconstrued as “he’s going to his home to sleep in his own bed and shovel his own driveway”. sounds like the care team is being cautious, taking it slow, and making certain he’s alright to be on his own before being finished with hospitalization. The good news is it’s probably fair to say he’s out of the woods and we should expect a complete recovery. What a week this has been for the team and themafia.
  21. Maybe the people who do things like throwing dildos on the field will take a cue from the rest of the BILLS organization and show little bit of class and abstain from such childish antics.
  22. The real miracle IMHO is the awakening. By that I mean the awakening that occurs when tragedy touches so many lives that we awaken communally. The miracle that people who never heard of or spoke the name Damar Hamlin have come together spiritually to be as one. Maybe there is a higher power that has to give us a reminder occasionally that we need to love each other. We’ll played big guy.
  23. Nah. Touchdown and 3-point conversion PAT. Bass kicks through uprights and it's caught by Diggs on other side of crossbar to make it 9-0.
  24. I understand where you're coming from, but I can't go along with that mindset. We all feel for Hamlin, his family, and his Bills' brothers, but the world doesn't stop. These players and coaches have invested many many hours of blood, sweat, and tears since the start of mini-camps just to get to this point in the season. Should Damar give up his fight? Of course not. Neither should his teammates. They should all continue to fight. Isn't that likely what Damar and his family would want? Maybe getting back to the routine with their teammates will be a needed step in dealing with the emotional trauma they experienced less than 48 hours ago. I can think of no greater tribute to DH than to fight like warriors and continue to strive for being world champions. It's my opinion that giving up on the season is antithetical to everything the Buffalo Bills and their leadership represent. Battling on wouldn't be disrespectful to Damar. On the contrary. It would be a fitting show of support and solidarity.
