The Bills’ play calling is so unimaginative.

Bills Super Bowl Appearance Guaranteed, But....
SoMAn replied to Barnaby Wilde's topic in The Stadium Wall
The team that got in the playoffs with a losing record. Gee…that’s a tough one 🙃 -
Would prefer 3 home games, but if it comes down to KC-Buf…Atlanta would be perfect for me. 35 minutes away.

I’m still cautiously skeptical that we’ll see him on the active roster. How many weeks was Tre practicing before he was active? I’d be shocked if he’s available to play the following week. Maybe AFCCG if they get that far. Btw- I think a lot of us are practically assuming we’ll meet KC in the championship game. Any of these games could be a shocker/upset. The Bills’ storybook season may be over in 4 days. It doesn’t seem possible. Hoping for the best of course! Go Bills! Squish the fish!

That’s another interesting hindsight hypothetical. In a do-over knowing what you know now, do you take Jefferson over Diggs? Mahomes over Allen? My gut says ‘no’ to both even though metrics may point the other way. How do you measure the chemistry that is present with Diggs, Allen, et al? The one big plus with Jefferson would have been a rookie contract that could free up money for another position. But …Diggs is such a great Buffalo Bill!

I would love to have a TE in the Gronk/ Kelsey mold. when the Vikings got Hockenson from Detroit for a 2nd (and something else I believe), my first thought was that if I were Beane and knew Hockenson was on the block, I would’ve countered with a first round pick. Knox is a decent enough TE, but I don’t know that he’s at the level that opposing teams have to plan around.

I have to agree. Not seeing a lot of dump offs to the flat, screens, or quick outs to RBs. Brady’s bread and butter has always been that quick rhythm…1,2,3 pass. Comparatively, Josh looks like he’s back there forever waiting and hoping for the open receiver before he rolls out (usually to his right) to buy more time. Is this on Josh? Does he spend too much time looking for the big downfield plays and missing open men for short yardage? Is it on Dorsey to get more creative? Where are the Jet sweeps and pulling guards (and Morse) on screens that were successful for the Dabol offenses? Why, with a running threat like Josh are there not better designed RPOs? Mahomes has made a career of those cute shovel passes to Kelsey that catch a defender in the middle, having to choose between pursuing the mobile Mahomes or covering the receiver. Just hope they’ve been saving this bag of tricks for the playoffs.

Just to reiterate- he has been released from UC and able to travel to Buffalo where he’ll remain in hospital for further evaluation and therapy. Just so the ‘released from hospital’ news doesn’t get misconstrued as “he’s going to his home to sleep in his own bed and shovel his own driveway”. sounds like the care team is being cautious, taking it slow, and making certain he’s alright to be on his own before being finished with hospitalization. The good news is it’s probably fair to say he’s out of the woods and we should expect a complete recovery. What a week this has been for the team and themafia.

Maybe the people who do things like throwing dildos on the field will take a cue from the rest of the BILLS organization and show little bit of class and abstain from such childish antics.

The real miracle IMHO is the awakening. By that I mean the awakening that occurs when tragedy touches so many lives that we awaken communally. The miracle that people who never heard of or spoke the name Damar Hamlin have come together spiritually to be as one. Maybe there is a higher power that has to give us a reminder occasionally that we need to love each other. We’ll played big guy.

If Chiefs win on Sat. does Bills/Pats game matter (much)?
SoMAn replied to ProcessTruster's topic in The Stadium Wall

Nah. Touchdown and 3-point conversion PAT. Bass kicks through uprights and it's caught by Diggs on other side of crossbar to make it 9-0.

I understand where you're coming from, but I can't go along with that mindset. We all feel for Hamlin, his family, and his Bills' brothers, but the world doesn't stop. These players and coaches have invested many many hours of blood, sweat, and tears since the start of mini-camps just to get to this point in the season. Should Damar give up his fight? Of course not. Neither should his teammates. They should all continue to fight. Isn't that likely what Damar and his family would want? Maybe getting back to the routine with their teammates will be a needed step in dealing with the emotional trauma they experienced less than 48 hours ago. I can think of no greater tribute to DH than to fight like warriors and continue to strive for being world champions. It's my opinion that giving up on the season is antithetical to everything the Buffalo Bills and their leadership represent. Battling on wouldn't be disrespectful to Damar. On the contrary. It would be a fitting show of support and solidarity.

Do we get Jamison Crowder back this season?
SoMAn replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall
No. Signing Crowder was a waste of precious cap money could have been better used elsewhere on the roster. He's frequently unavailable due to injury and even when he's healthy, he's only average or maybe slightly above. -
Young people tend to be night owls (unlike old farts like me). Maybe nights just simply suit his internal clock better. I'm most productive at the start of the day - an early morning person and ready to put my feet up by 4pm. My wife rarely gets out of bed before 10am and doesn't get into gear much before 2pm. Drives me nuts. Just as I'm winding down, she's in 'let's get going on the list' mode. I got your list right here honey! Maybe Josh is just at built for optimum performance in the evenings. Hoping that rings true this coming Monday night.

Leslie Frazier expected to be "in the mix" for Broncos HC job
SoMAn replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
It’s hard to imagine any team that’s rebuilding hiring a guy who’ll be 64 in a couple of months, especially in an era when head coaches are getting younger all the time. As qualified as he may be, it’s unlikely he’s getting a head coaching position in the NFL. -
I'm slightly surprised at the widespread disdain for Directv. I've had it for around 24 years for the Sunday Ticket. Living outside of WNY it's been a godsend for this Bills fan. Customer service has been lat times lousy or great, depending on the rep. If you know enough to escalate and get past tier 1 customer service, you can usually get a knowledgeable rep who knows how to handle the situation. Overall, it's no better or worse than any other customer service outlet. I've enjoyed a great picture, time-shifting, multiple TVs, plenty of bandwidth for recorded content. Price? I've never had issues negotiating decent deals. I haven't paid for NFL ST in years, and currently pay $70/mo for 3 TV's for a package that includes NFL Network, HBO Max, ESPN, and most of the usual cable home fix it, cooking, and news stations. I'm not sure streaming will provide all the same benefits. If I'm busy prior to the start of a game, I have it recorded. I can come in an hour after start time and play from the beginning, skipping through commercials. Can I do that with streaming? Can I access the game again on Tuesday if I feel like watching again, or is that an entirely different service (NFL Game Pass?) I'd have to pay for in addition to NFLST? As far as streaming goes, I'm skeptical that I'll have the same picture quality and stability I've had with Directv signals. I watched part of a Amazon game and was frustrated by occasional pixilating that interrupted the broadcast. Don't know if it's just fashionable to hate Directv, but my personal experiences are mostly positive. Wait until your internet service goes out one of these gamedays.

Snowballs - fair game if aimed at Dolphins bench?
SoMAn replied to Clark Rotary's topic in The Stadium Wall
What is your point? The story about someone hurling 20 lb ice boulders from an overpass is hardly comparable to a couple mischievous teens tossing soft snowballs from fresh fallen snow at slow passing cars on a local village street. -
Snowballs - fair game if aimed at Dolphins bench?
SoMAn replied to Clark Rotary's topic in The Stadium Wall
I learned my lesson when me and my brother were arrested as minors for throwing snowballs at passing cars from the top of a local Masonic building. Dad had to rescue us from the cop station. Fortunately, dad was even more of a hooligan in his day, so he laughed it off. -
Division record is tiebreaker after head to head. Dolphins still have games against Jets and Patriots. If they win both and Bills lose to Pats, Dolphins would be 4-2 in Division and Bills would be 3-3. Of course, for any of this to matter, the Bills don’t win another game and Dolphins win out. Highly unlikely. For the Bills to have anything less than # 3 seed is also highly unlikely.

Just an honest question on the game outcome
SoMAn replied to Italian Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall
How soon we forget 7-6 after 13 games last season. I think the phenomenal showings in the playoffs has stuck in everyone’s mind, conveniently forgetting the mid-season slump that had them fighting for a playoff spot. Every championship team has close games. The difference being the good teams usually find a way to be on the winning end of those close games. -
Which two teams would you like to see miss the playoffs?
SoMAn replied to SageAgainstTheMachine's topic in The Stadium Wall
I would like to be on a chairlift with McDaniels, and at the highest point, push him off. He’s the kind of geek in school who’d be walking up to the teacher with his homework and you’d stick your leg out to trip him…just because he’s the biggest dickwad in the class. -
Devin Singletary not scoring a TD with 34 seconds left
SoMAn replied to chongli's topic in The Stadium Wall
It was safe. It guaranteed Bills retained possession. Bass was set up between the hash marks for a chip shot field goal. Apparently, the players and coaches (More familiar with the field conditions than you or I) weren’t terribly concerned about the footing or Bass’s ability to hit it solidly. As long as we’re playing ‘what if’, what if they ran it and the ball got ripped out and recovered by Dolphins.
