  1. Hey Limeaid, no it's not because of that. Maybe if we could mostly only debate players/coaches that would actually be an upgrade or that we have a realistic shot at getting. Just sayin...
  2. Sounds very much like a farm system of sorts. It could work depending on the success of players in the league. If they can point to kids who played there and honed their skills before moving onto the NFL you may get players who choose to earn money now and still have an opportunity to play in the top professional league. If the NCAA and the NFL block this from happening then it's dead.
  3. It think adding him will let you really know if McCarthy was a good coach or not. I've always wondered how much of the Packers success was Rodgers and how much was coaching.
  4. Why is it that whenever anyone becomes available (player or coach) I learn about it from a thread where people are suggesting that we pick them up. ?
  5. I'd be concerned about the consistency of those rankings. So from 2013 on his unit is moving all over the rankings (#17,#9,#22,#7,#19,#10). May as well be throwing darts Bird Box style
  6. Except there are separate rules around players and tampering than for coaches.
  7. LOL I was thinking the same thing about @YoloinOhio
  8. Impressive stats. Looking forward to seeing where the pundits place him when the mock drafts get into full swing.
  9. Thanks for posting. Honestly I don't know much about the kid but his highlights on YouTube are impressive. Physical player who goes and gets the ball. Really happy we got him and he stays hungry like that. When I was watching him play all I kept thinking is was this should how KB should be able to play if he wasn't so lazy.
  10. Atlanta based. Really I am ambivalent about the Falcons. Only have room in my heart for one team and I fell in love with the Bills when they drafted Thurman. I have so many great memories with the Bills games, from the 51-3 to the Bills Bengals in 2010. The grit of the team and fans is just hard to walk away from. The Falcons on the other hand are just bland. They are soft like a lot of Dome teams tend to be. The only time I've ever really rooted for them was the horrible meltdown Superbowl against the Patriots. That sucked!!
  11. I'm not disagreeing with either of you. Elway has the right to refuse interviews for any member of the Broncos staff that are under contract. My point is many organizations give their staff permission to interview with other teams even though they could refuse. With everything that's been going on in Denver (really since Manning retired) that organization's reputation seems to be lowering from top tier to average. The news reports about Denver are not what a GM should be hoping for and I am not sure that Elway's choices are helping the situation.
  12. That is a fair point. It will be interesting to see if Kugler interviews anywhere else or if any Broncos assistants interview before a HC is named.
  13. Different owners and organization. I think the point is not whether the Bills job would be attractive to him, but how a GM denying interviews impacts that teams reputation. If Kugler is not interested in a job he should be the one turning down the interview.
  14. I think you are missing the point. Are you saying that an assistant coach could be fine with not being allowed interview for a job (a chance to have a job) because they have a chance to keep their current job? All I know is that I'd prefer to have the option of interviewing for a job and then finding out that I would be retained and turning down the first job. I would be very unhappy if I was not allowed to interview while there were openings and then told that I was no longer needed.
  15. It's a short term win for Denver. You have to consider the reputation a team/GM has before you choose to go there. If you fire your HC and deny interviews for assistants until a HC is chosen and the team decides if you are still wanted, your reputation will suffer. Causing people to miss out on opportunities is not overlooked in today's NFL.
  16. I hope they leave it exactly as it is until Brady retires ?
  17. Whatever do you mean? I think Beane can go get us Clowney, Antonio Brown, Le'Veon Bell ?
  18. 1000% there are teams higher on this guys list that would do a straight QB trade for Allen. If I were creating a ranking list of Sports Analysts I rank Greg Rosenthal somewhere on the tail end of the list between Sully and the drunk bozo in the Patriots bar.
  19. That is one thing I really like about Allen. He definitely is an "Us/We" guy. He always takes the time to share the credit and shoulders all the blame (even when it's not him dropping the ball).
  20. Hold your horses skippy. Lets just see who's available on draft day and what people are offering for the #9 pick before making such decisions
  21. Lot of long posts in this thread. I understand that Bills football is over so it'd time to fill the void but..... 7 teams made the playoffs this year that did not make it last year. That's 58.3% new teams. I'm confident with that level of turn over we've got a shot.
  22. Who cares!!!! is just like the power rankings, some tool trying to generate clicks. My play is to watch next season and watch #14 & #15 dominate with more talent around them
  23. Once Tasker is off the list I check out. It's a bit ridiculous.
  24. Based on how Zay is trending I'm optimistic for him next year.
