  1. I haven’t seen anything out of Davis this year in the run game.
  2. He's on prime JJ Watt / Aaron Donald level. Only other player today on D at maybe the same level is TJ Watt. It's not likely we will come across a player at that level with JA on the team.
  3. Maybe he misses the rest of this year and a good portion of the season next year from suspension.
  4. Just a bummer their offense went into the toilet the exact same time Chris Jones became the best defensive player in the game. That guy is a bad, bad man.
  5. Chargers need to be totally blown up if I am Harbaugh. Bosa and James are losers. Herbert for all the talent is a loser because he has no heart. All three players are supposed to be the heart and soul of your team and they are huge injury risks every season. They could get a lot of draft picks for all three of them.
  6. He had the GOAT TE that routinely plays his best in the post season. Allen had Diggs a former all pro WR who never plays his best in the post season.
  7. How did the Raiders of all teams hold them to 23 points then and escape with a W? Dallas has a well known terrible defense. Not surprised they went off against them.
  8. Anything pre 2020 season with Allen just doesn't even register on the radar. Allen wasn't even a top 10 QB up to that point. Talking about two entirely different QB's playing the position when you compare Allen's first two seasons to his last 4+.
  9. Maybe. Somehow Andy Dalton and the Panthers were a bigger challenge for the Raiders. I’m not sure what to make of this Ravens team.
  10. big gap between shutting down and not allowing 38 or 42 points like in the first two match ups. and like I pointed out, the Ravens, 49ers and even Dolphins had no problem holding last year’s pedestrian Chiefs offense to under 27 points. both the Ravens and 49ers shut down Chiefs offense in back to back games holding them to under 20 in regulation. Something the Bills were able to do in the regular season. But like clock work the Bills defense folded in the divisional round.
  11. They are still good at TE with the emergence of Likely. I'm not sure if Andrews is still a great TE but he's at least as good still as Knox and Kincaid I think.
  12. Having to have two top 15 WR's on a team seems like a pretty high standard for "good" receiving core. That seems more like a standard for "great" or "elite" receiving core. Going by receiving yards seems a bit silly at the moment given the Bills are near the league bottom in attempts. And they are not in the league bottom because of drops or a poor passing game. They have been extremely efficient. They just haven't needed to pass at the usual rate.
  13. That Bills point differential is insane.
  14. The sample size is actually quite larger than 3 games now. Mahomes struggled greatly last season by his standards and so far through 3 games the struggles continue or are even perhaps worse. KC won a Super Bowl last year on the back of their dominant defense and Chris Jones. The sample size is 20 games and counting now of Mahomes being far below is career averages. Allen has been statistically a better QB for 20+ games and counting now. Mahomes had a honeymoon period in his first year without Tyreek where Mahomes some of the best ball of his career and would go on to win MVP. Second to only his first MVP season. But that honeymoon ended last season as Mahomes and the Chiefs offense struggled all year. Fortunately, for them and not for the rest of the league, the Chiefs offensive dip coincided with their defense turning into one of the top units in the league. This year Mahomes has a #1 WR again in Rice but so far it has not made a difference. Mahomes and the Chiefs offense continues to struggle. Are Allen and the Bills in a similar offensive honeymoon period with perceived lack of talent at the skill positions? How long will the honeymoon last?
  15. And every postseason that defense plays like hot garbage when it matters the most. Even last year, K.C.'s offense was BAD an yet the Bills defense managed to allow K.C. to score the most points out of all of their 4 post season games. If the Bills D would have played to the average of the Ravens, 49ers and Dolphins (Dolphins!?!) they would have easily beat K.C. The Bills D has been BAD in 4 straight post season exists. This argument that Allen has a top defense every year doesn't hold any water when we start talking about the lack of postseason success for the Bills. You would think by blind luck they would have had at least one good defensive game out of 4 attempts.
  16. For what it is worth, our back up linebackers are bigger than our starters and both starting LB's remain out.
  17. Maybe you guys are right. I don't recall bad blood when he left but do remember a story leaking after. Didn't he leave with the Bills coming off one of the greatest offensive postseason performances of all time? And multiple no punt games down the stretch of the 2021 regular season and post season? I wouldn't look much into a cold handshake of the Giants game last year. That was a competitive game that the Giants loss in the final seconds. If not Daboll, then who? Probably someone outside the organization I would assume.
  18. Makes some sense I guess. Teams get rewarded with extra rest after a short week. Once the league goes to 18 games, if they implement two bye weeks, every team playing on Thursday night should be playing coming off a bye week. The only tricky thing about that is what about week 2 Thursday night games? I guess that would be the exception. And maybe week 3 as most teams would not want to use their first bye week so early in the season.
  19. Daboll's a near certainty to come back as OC if he is fired at the end of the year and Brady leaves for a HC job. Bills have been promoting from within. They could go that route again but I can't even tell you who our offensive coaches are behind Brady currently. Would any of them be ready for an OC job?
  20. I haven't been following your arguments in this thread, so maybe we share the same take. I would say Mahomes is the most decorated QB playing in the game today. Just as Brady is still the GOAT as he is the most decorated of all-time. Mahomes is the best QB the league has seen to date but he is not decorated enough for GOAT status. Currently, Allen is the best QB in the game today and if he keeps it up he could over take Mahomes title of best QB to ever to play the game. Whether either of Mahomes or Allen achieve GOAT status is up in the air.
  21. All white is by far my favorite uniform combo.
  22. Can’t help but feel like this game is going to be like the Buc’s game last year. We will come out of it feeling underwhelmed by both sides of the ball but just happy to escape with a W. Facing a 0-2 team is one of the worst spots you can be in. Raiders, Bucs, 49ers and Cowboys all learned that the hard way yesterday.
  23. I don't really agree on this. On a 1 -10 scale I probably put Mahomes as an 8 and Allen as 7 on "pocket passing skill". Now, out of the pocket and secondary reaction both are 10/10.
  24. EJ. At the time I was happy with the selection. But I have since learned you don't trade back and select a franchise QB. If anything move up for the QB. Trading back told us everything we needed to know about EJ's talent level and if the franchise really believed in him. Part of that run of three straight FSU starting QB's to be selected in the first round of the draft. Ponder, EJ and Crab Legs. All three busts.
  25. If he is at or just under 4,000 passing yards I do expect his completion percentage and passer rating to be right around the highest of his career. Lower volume tends to equal greater efficiency. I think a 105 -110 passer rating is well within range if he is supported by a ground game other than himself.
