  1. Okay. I mean most have Josh as 2 or 3. Nobody has him as 1 besides some Bills fans. And guess what most have Burrow as 2 or 3. Your math isn’t adding up. let’s say Josh is 2 and Burrow is 3. That difference of 1 spot means Josh shouldn’t get the same assistance that Burrow gets? And to be honest I would say the overwhelming consensus going into this season by the media was Burrow ahead of Josh. Who knows maybe after this season if the Bills win it all and Mahomes coming off his worst year ever maybe Allen actually will move to the consensus 1 spot.
  2. It’s actually quite normal in playoff football. QB’s get you to the playoffs. The defense that shows up often makes it to the Super Bowl. There are a lot of great QB’s in the playoffs every year. I can’t tell you why the Bills defense has underperformed so often.
  3. why? We already gave you Burrow as a prime example of a guy that can get to the Super Bowl without playing a single great game. Matt Stafford who won the Super Bowl in the same year hardly had great game after game. Defenses typically over perform in the postseason. The term “defenses win championships” wasn’t created for a reason. But unfortunately the only times the Bills defense has showed up when it mattered is when the weather played a major factor on both offenses and when the offense pitched a perfect game.
  4. Big thanks to the weather though. Or do you think Bass and Tucker each missing two 40 yard FG’s was just a coincidence and horrid wind was not a factor? I mean this is Justin Tucker we are talking about.
  5. He had a 90 QBR last week and the week before he wasn't asked to do much at all, but he also still had 2 TD's and no turnovers. Is that really uneven? Josh already had the stats advantage over everyone heading into the KC game. His problem was the team wasn't winning they found themselves at 6-6 and in the 11th seed in the AFC. If you asked me what the number one thing Allen needs to get into the MVP conversation again, the answer at the time would have been just win football games. So far, they have done that and if they can win two more, he will be right there. Will he win or not, I do not know. But I do know he will be deserving.
  6. I still think so many of our offensive struggles early in the year were beyond Dorsey's control. Take the Giants game for example. The offense was nearly perfect in the second half. Three possessions, two long time-consuming TD drives. The third possession we would have ran out the clock but Allen barely miss-fired to Knox who couldn't bring in the pass. The game plan in the second half of the Giants game was great and executed to near perfection. The first half of the Giants game we had two drives end by WR's being tripped unintentionally by the DB. We haven't seen that at any other point this year, but it happened twice in one half in that game. Go figure. And I think Allen through an INT in the first half as well? Just a lot of weird things that make it hard to point directly at the OC. That said, I'm happy with Joe Brady for now and glad the change seems to have worked out for the better.
  7. correct. Burrow hasn’t had a single excellent game in the postseason to date and yet found himself in the Super Bowl.
  8. Should we go back down that road? Offense played better than the defense that day in the AFCCG. no doubt about it. that may have been the defenses worst postseason performance to date and that includes the 13 second game. The defense showing up in two out of about seven postseason games isn’t something to get overly excited about. meanwhile, the Bengals defense has showed up in pretty much every postseason game in the Joe Burrow era. Fortunate for the Bengals as Joe Burrow has yet to have a great game in the postseason.
  9. Don't know if he will be the front runner. If Lamar and the Ravens win this week Lamar is going to be a near lock for the MVP with the only player that realistically has a shot of upending his chances being Allen. But the volume for Lamar for MVP after week 17 will be through the roof and it won't matter what kind of numbers he puts up. That said, Allen will make the vote close I would think. Half the voters will give it to Lamar because of the 1 seed and team record. The other half will give it to Allen because of the dramatic finish down the stretch and statistically being one of the best QB's in the league in many categories.
  10. Throw in Burrow, I know he doesn't have a ring, but a lot of media folks think he's better than Allen simply because he was able to get to a Super Bowl. But his defense has overperformed in pretty much every postseason game he has played in while Burrow himself has pretty much been "meh" in all of them. Never mind Allen having better regular season and postseason stats.
  11. He said in interview he would be back for the Jets game which I think was the very next game out of the minnie bye. Then like two days later he had season ending surgery. LOL. Never believe Von.
  12. If Miami pulls out the win this week against the Ravens then the division and one seed is on the line for both the Browns and Ravens I think in week 18. I thank you. My account ran out of money after we beat the Chiefs and Cowboys in consecutive weeks, or I would do this parlay as well.
  13. Two most likely games to go our way this week would be Raiders over Colts and Seahawks over Steelers. Let's at least have one of those two go our way. Don't we also need the Bengals to lose one still as well? Or are we figuring a 3-way tie at 10-7 eliminates them by conference record? If we want to win the division, we want Miami to lose to Baltimore. But if we want our best chance just to make the playoffs a Miami win would be better to keep Baltomore from letting up on the gas pedal vs. the Steelers. Raiders are rolling right now. To me they are slight favorites to beat the Colts.
  14. God Bless America! if he gets close to 16-20 million. I see him getting like a 2 year deal for 20-24 million.
  15. Exactly! Earlier in the year this game would have been a loss. They found a way to win because they are the better team despite having a case of the fumbles and not being able to come up with a turnover of their own.
  16. The case against Lamar for MVP: Through 15 games Lamar has a 63.0 QBR and 24 Total TD's. He's on pace for 28 total TD's on the year in a 17 game season. At least when Cam won with a 61 QBR in the 2015 season the Panthers were a ridiculous 15-1 and Cam had 45 total TD's in 16 games. The Total QBR of the last 10 MVP winners and their total TD's below. Bold type indicates they led the league in that category for that year. 2013- Peyton Manning 79.0 (56 Total TD's) 2014- Aaron Rodgers 77.8 (40 Total TD's) 2015 - Cam Newton 61.4 (45 Total TD's) 2016 - Matt Ryan 79.6 (38 Total TD's) 2017 - Tom Brady 70.6 (32 Total TD's) 2018 - Patrick Mahomes 80.3 (52 Total TD's) 2019 - Lamar Jackson 83.0 (43 Total TD's) 2020 - Aaron Rodgers 79.8 (51 Total TD's) 2021 - Aaron Rodgers 69.1 (40 Total TD's) 2022 - Patrick Mahomes 79.0 (45 Total TD's) Josh Allen's QBR and Total TD's last 4 seasons: 2020- 76.6 (46 Total TD's) 2021- 60.7 (42 Total TD's) 2022- 73.4 (42 Total TD's in one less game) 2023- 71.6 (40 Total TD's and counting) Allen's QBR is second to Purdy's 71.7, yes only 0.1 behind Purdy. The Ravens have been the top team in the AFC for a number of weeks now. But it's only now that Lamar has emerged as the MVP favorite. Why is that? Why wasn't he number 1 or even number 2 several weeks ago if he had the Ravens in the 1 seed position? The reason obviously is that his numbers are really bad by MVP standards. Prior to the last two games his QBR was 59 so he has "heated up" a little bit to a luke-warm 63. But more importantly, he hasn't absolutely wet the bed like Dak and Purdy have in consecutive weeks. He didn't suffer an ankle injury like Hill did forcing him to miss a game and possibly a 2,000 yard season. So it's not that Lamar himself is playing at a high level and "earning it". It's that everyone else around him is falling on their faces late in the season. But all those players; Dak, Purdy and Hill still have great stats on the season. And their teams are still in great playoff positioning. Then there is Allen who actually has a legit chance to end the season as both the QBR leader and total TD leader. The last five MVP's have led the league in both categories. Not sure if there has ever been a QB to lead in both and not win the MVP. Allen should absolutely win the MVP if the Bills win the division and given all of the above, not sure it should be a difficult decision at that point either.
  17. Is this what you think will happen or who you feel deserves the award? I just have a hard time seeing how Lamar is actually deserving this year.
  18. As of today? 1. Hill 2. CMC 3. Allen 4. Dak 5. Lamar At the end of the season when the Bills win the division? 1. Allen 2. CMC 3. Hill 4. Dak 5. Lamar
  19. Two seed is big if we can get it. Baltimore is the only team in the conference that definitely looks better than all others. Avoid them as long as possible. Let the Browns and Ravens beat each other up in a 5 vs. 1 match up, assuming 6 doesn't upset 3.
  20. To be fair, Allen has been the odds-on favorite at some point in like each of the last three seasons. He typically starts the season as the MVP favorite. He's had his chances but just like Dak and Purdy in consecutive weeks, it's hard to hold onto that top spot for long. Lamar just finally grabbed it, don't believe he ever held the top spot before last nights game. It has been a carousel of different QB's at the top this year: Allen, Tua, Mahomes, Hurts, Brock, Dak and now Lamar.
  21. I put some money on Allen back when he was +5000 to win it. Even if we give Lamar half of those Edwards TD's he's still about 10 behind Allen. Also, Allen, doesn't get tush pushed in at nearly the rate as someone like Hurts. Majority of Allen's rushing TD's are from beyond 3 yards out. It's about how are you playing down the stretch and credit to both Allen and Lamar. They both have their teams playing well right now. And after these last two games Lamar has risen his efficiency from a sub 60 QBR to now a 63 QBR. Allen has been pretty consistently around 71 QBR most the season and he now finds himself 0.1 behind the leader Purdy as both Brock and Dak find themselves playing poorly down the stretch. Good point about reversing the situations. I think it goes to show it's close between these two. Ironically, to continue to have a chance, they both need to beat the Dolphins.
  22. I agree. Which is why I think Allen is still in it. IMO, the door for Lamar, is winning out and Dolphins beating the Bills to prevent Allen and the Bills from getting the division title. The hype train for Allen for MVP will be through the roof if the Bills win the division in primetime as the final game of the regular season. While Allen tally's 45 total TD's. Lamar is likely to finish with about 29 total TD's. If the Dolphins beat the Ravens I think Lamar is toast. Don't even care if they end up with the 1 seed still if the Bills beat Maimi the following week. Can't give the MVP to a QB on a 4 loss team with 29 TD's. In that scenario I would look to CMC or Hill. This could be one of the oddest MVP years we've ever had with no player getting over half the vote and multiple players getting 5+ votes.
  23. at least he is staying consistent with these last few weeks. Just staying steady in like 4th best odds. been a brutal week for the favorites two weeks in a row. Dak and Purdy with massive slides.
  24. Define currently. I think you can absolute make a case that this year he is the best QB playing. At this point I don’t think anyone is taking Purdy seriously after tonight. Sorry, you can’t be 0-4 and consistently have your worse games when your supporting cast is not 100% such a weird year all around for QB’s across the league. Not saying Allen will win the MVP. He still has an uphill battle because that is such a team success dependent award typically. But Allen is third in QBR, one of only three QB’s this year with a 70+ QBR. The two QB’s ahead of him in QBR, (Purdy and Dak) despite having great seasons, appear to be heavily flawed QB’s trending in the wrong direction as the season winds down. Then you have Lamar, he is having a good season, but not even close to a great season.
