  1. If the goal is to host the AFCCG, we want KC coming to Buffalo in the divisional round. No way in hell Miami, as the 6 seed is going into Baltimore and beating them. I don't care how bad a game playoff Lamar has.
  2. I don't think we are nearly as banged up as Miami is. That is the point of the OP. Whoever is on the field for either team is going to be playing to win. And definitely whoever is healthy enough to play in a regular season game is going to play. The three biggest question marks I think are Waddle, Howard and Mosert? Do you play them if they aren't ready. Is it one of those injuries where week 6 regular season they are sitting but divisional round playoff game shoot them up and put them on the field? If so, where does this game fit into the equation with Miami's biggest game being next week, not this week.
  3. If I am the Dolphins I don't feel that bad about going to KC. I don't think I risk players that are "close" to back. I want them fully healthy. KC is very beatable this year and in KC they are even beatable. I think they have more home losses this year than away? The game in Germany was close and if it wasn't for a defensive TD Miami could have won that game.
  4. I agree. Winning is such a significant ingredient for a QB's MVP case. That's why I thought the Bills going from 6-6 and the 11 seed to 11-6 and the 2 seed in a year where no QB's were really standing out and everyone wanted to say "yet but" to Purdy's efficiency, would really put Allen in the conversation. I'm curious how the all-pro vote goes. To me, Purdy and Dak are far more deserving of first and second team All-Pro. That is the award IMO that is strictly more about stats then wins. Typically, the QB MVP also wins first team all-pro, but it is also typical that the QB MVP is clearly just as good stat wise as any other QB in the running. That's just not the case this year with Lamar clearly behind Dak and Purdy.
  5. If you would have told me 5 weeks ago that Allen could win his final 5 games, taking the Bills from 6-6 and the 11 seed in the AFC standings to beating the Dolphins in prime time for the division title and the 2 seed for all to see and have the exact same stats he has now and let's say three more TD's this Sunday to put him at 45 on the season I would have thought there was no way he would not win MVP. I do guarantee we will hear MVP chatter if the Bills win the Division and Allen has 3+ TD's doing so. But it will just be chatter and Allen will get a vote or two. Obviously, the more TD's he can put up the louder the chatter. But at this point it would take a 5 or 6 TD performance to really make it a close vote. Not impossible given the Bills track record with Miami. I didn't really see the Ravens beating the 49ers, and let's face it, that game was all about the Ravens defense totally dominating Purdy and the Ravens offense. Jackson didn't screw things up in that game and he was efficient but he wasn't at all the reason they won the game. I mean Allen's game against the Eagles in a losing effort was 10x more impressive than Lamar's in the winning effort against the 49ers. The award is SOOOO much about winning it really makes me wonder where Allen would stand in the MVP talk if the Eagles kicker simply misses a 59 yard FG in the rain. That one win behind an epic performance would have really carried what could be a six game winning streak for the division title instead of a 5. Add to that, Bills beat the Broncos with 11 men on the field and it's not even a contest. Allen wins going away with a 13-4 record and a division title, even if the Ravens still finish a game better.
  6. It's huge that both these teams we need to lose will be playing on the road. I foresee them both being one score games. Hope they break our way.
  7. That would be some bad luck if we had to go through the 49ers to get to the Super Bowl.
  8. Bills don't get blown out. Closest thing to a blow-out was last years Divisional game against the Bengals? Before that we have to go back to the 2021 Colts game? I look at the this upcoming game in Miami and see three possible outcomes. Miami wins a one score game. Bills win a one score game. Bills win by 14+ Cinci has been slapping us around the last three games. That team has our number for some reason. I'd be a lot less confident if they were in it still.
  9. TEAM OF DESTINY! I actually feel very confident if we make it in. Feels like this is our year. The one team we seemingly could never hang with is not in. The Bengals.
  10. I think we have an even better chance at the division if it is a win or go home game for us. I just can't see a banged-up Miami team that already knows they have their playoff ticket punched having the same energy as a Bills team that has been playing win or go home football for essentially the last month.
  11. Except, I would wager that a lot of the times Allen is the one getting the tough yards down inside the 5-yard line as well. Either by using his legs or making the throws to the receivers to get the ball down there.
  12. So, when a RB scores 15 TD's from inside the 3-yard line nobody says jack. In fact, it is quite impressive of them they say. But when Allen scores 15 TDs with the majority of them not inside the 3-yard line it is somehow not as impressive?
  13. Dolphins are in a good spot having Tua on the 5th year option for next year. Let him play the rest of the this year out and see how he does next season. Tua is still an injury risk IMO. But if a couple things happen from this year to the end of the next season then I could see signing him to a $50 million contract. This year he needs to either beat the Bills next week or win a playoff game. And he needs to have at least one really good game out of his next two. Not just win because the other team beats themselves and the defense carries the Dolphins. Next season, he needs to miss at most one game due to injury and preferably not have another concussion. Stat wise have a similar year and lead the Dolphins to the playoffs. If he can do all of the above than I think he will be worth whatever he asks for. But do not pay him now! That would be foolish. I'm not a believer in signing QB's to those Daniel Jones or even Kirk Cousins type deals. And Kirk Cousins is a really good QB in this league but when it comes down to it, does anyone see him as good enough to win a Super Bowl? You pay elite QB's.
  14. I believe they are the same as the MVP voters correct?
  15. How often is he outplayed by the other QB at home after November in the same elements? This might be a reason why he'll have an uphill battle to win MVP most years but hardly a reason to be concerned regarding team success.
  16. Isn't all-pro mostly a stats award though? Lamar even with having been playing better these last few weeks is still behind a few of the QB's in both efficiency and total numbers. In the past MVP and all pro QB's have usually aligned but that's also been because the MVP's of recent memory have also happened to clearly lead the league in yards, TD's and efficiency for the most part.
  17. Am I wrong in thinking Lamar has no chance in being named a first team all-pro QB this year? Yes, he'll likely win the MVP but that is an entirely different award. An award that has almost as much to do with team success as actual individual dominance on the field. I see all three of Dak, Purdy and Allen having better chances of being named all-pro QB's this year.
  18. May be true. That’s also kind of how we ended up being able to trade for Diggs.
  19. Trade for DK Metcalf and turn Diggs into a 120 catch slot receiver.
  20. Make DK Metcalf a Bill by any means necessary. He would be the same age as Diggs was when we traded for him.
  21. he’s been unbelievable and his year in keeping his sack numbers and sack yardage low this year. He’s going a great job of getting rid of the ball when he is under duress.
  22. they’ve historically been really bad against QB’s that can run the ball and extend plays. Look at their last two games against the Ravens and the numbers Lamar has put up on them and the last 10 or so games Allen has played against them.
  23. Dorsey was never the problem all long. Shocking… not. The guy was fired after a game in which the players shot themselves in the foot four times to lose the turnover battle 4-0. The Giants game was wildly misconstrued as a bad game by the OC. The offense was nearly perfect in the second half of the Giants game and in the first half we had two drives end by WR’s getting their feet tangled up with the DB’s and Allen throwing an INT. The good news is the Dolphins defense should be the cure for our offensive woes. I agree with all of this pretty much. I’ll be concerned if the offense doesn’t have a good game against the Dolphins trash defense.
  24. I think it has more to do with defenses keying on the line of scrimmage because of the threat of Allen running. Makes it hard to run screen passes. i would be curious if the Ravens also execute poor or few screen passes for the same reason.
