  1. They are after a QB end of story myth.
  2. I've thought about this as well. Not trying to be sexist, just from experience. I always try to have some women in the interview teams at my place, no matter the job. They just seem to pickup on things that men don't. It has really helped the success rate. The problem with this theory, REX RYAN! She was part of that process. Either they didn't consider what she said(Russ Brandon) or he is just the ultimate BS artist-which could be the case. Maybe she was just naïve. The McDermott process seems to have been better, maybe they learned.
  3. Optimal Scouting(Eric Galko) has him at 104 overall and a fringe NFL starter, Early Day 3 guy, 6th among TE.
  4. I'd do the trade he offered yesterday and and the week before....the month before, we should be so fortunate!
  5. Lots of talk of three ways around here lately!
  6. The one Casserly did is a joke, not even close.
  7. On TV it was #12,#53 and next years 1st
  8. The Giants are not dropping to 12 for that package.
  9. They don't know what to do with the Mock because the trade is out there.
  10. “Lack of length makes it tough for him to sustain” (Billy Price, Ohio State)
  11. I've had this dream, and with different outcomes! That doesn't sound like McBeane to me, so it is likely a moot point. I don't think they take a 5 or 6 talent over a 8 or 9 talent for obvious reasons-youd' get fired very quickly. I do think they will take a 8.5, 8.0 maybe 7.5 over an 9.0 if the intangibles (code word) are great enough. Sam Darnold fits that mold to me. Kinda boring, but not very far off talent wise. Personally I think Rosen is worth it and hope that is the direction they go. We shall see, fun stuff! At the end of the day if they tradeup to 1 or 2 for Allen I will feel a bit gutted I'm sure. Like a pillow with no stuffings, and then eventually get over it and support .
  12. I don't see this as anything like 2013 at all. Allen is a much better prospect than EJ ever dreamed of being. My point is that the upside isn't a likely thing, and you don't trade up for it unless you have too in a year with other strong candidates. Therefore, with 3 other candidates of a higher probability of success (though perhaps a little lower ceiling), those are the guys you move up for.
  13. I think that would be extremely difficult to do. You are giving up a ton of resources for a guy with a lot of risk, everyone agrees on that. So you have a QB who may turn out to be a 9.5 In Allen, as opposed to Rosen who's perhaps an 8.5-9.0. But, Rosen has a much greater chance of helping you in the short term.JMO
  14. Agree, if we stayed at 12 and the other top guys are gone, I take Allen at 12, but not before.
  15. That's how I feel too. Rosen, Darnold and Mayfield are one class to me. Allen and Jackson another, they are projects. No trade up.
  16. I'd lose a lot until proven wrong! Trading up would be a problem value wise in my mind.
  17. Not only have we traded up to #1, we have begun negotiations with _____________!
  18. Wonder if that team is in Orchard Park. That Albert Breer Mock looks pretty good!
  19. If this keeps up we may have to trade down for Rosen
  20. I also heard people who I respect more than this clown say he will be a star by his second year. Who else in this draft can you say that about? Maybe Baker
  21. Don't overplay your hand bud! You are precariously close.
