  1. Not going to happen, he's being setup to succeed!
  2. They follow the Andy Reid diet. Cheeseburgers are a great cure all!
  3. We need to steal the whole damn car!
  4. She thought she might be disappointed but then she found the Redwood!
  5. I agree, they could have had Flores with Herbert.
  6. I wonder how this impacts their ability to make deals at the deadline. I'm thinking they do nothing now. Maybe Ross was afraid Grier would trade away guys like Waddle.
  7. Why do people want to convince themselves that a quality receiver isn't essential or even needed? Josh hasn't been great, but he will play better for sure, especially if Beane provides a lift to the offense in the form of a threat. The problem is obvious to the eye, secondaries are playing "downhill" against us. I remember some plays vs Atlanta, and even against Carolina, where I couldn't believe how fast the secondary was moving up and closing on the receiver routes. No fear at all!!
  8. 26-20 Chiefs. Spags puts McDuffie on Shakir, the rest can't get open consistently. He'll blitz and we can't handle it til proven otherwise and he won't let Cook run completely wild. We will try to hit the TEs in the middle (and Shakir) but they'll be some tips and interceptions. Josh will be more uncomfortable than he was even last week. On defense, we do better than people think we'll do, give up some yards and get some RZ stops that lead to FGS.
  9. https://polymarket.com/event/nfl-players-traded-before-deadline Any know anything about Chris Olave? He's up 37% on polymarket
  10. Crickets .......Get ready for Gabe is coming back in a couple weeks! I was hoping we could pull someone in before the Chiefs game. Either we're being told no or Beane thinks the cost is wrong. Which in his case, he could against trading value picks for a receiver. He thinks you can put anyone at WR.
  11. It's crazy isn't it? All Beane needed to do was get this correct. He should've doubled up on it and one would have panned out-instead he bet on Coleman. Brutal
  12. You can never have too many guys cut by Dallas on your defense.
  13. I take Shaheed in a heartbeat. Helps on returns as well. Now if Beane can somehow make it happen and not decide we need to save the pick so he can screw it up in the spring.
  14. Mahomes is killing teams this year with his legs. We need keep in the pocket and get him on the ground with a spy. Otherwise, not worried about the KC running game. I worry about our offense, they'll have McDuffie on Shakir and our outside receivers are a negative mismatch. Need big,big TE and RB days. Josh needs to play a lot better and someone else to step up. Running with Cook alone won't be enough and we better be ready with a plan to handle the blitz.
  15. Well we know the Chiefs DL will hold our OL from getting to the second level. And, we know their OT will false start every play. And, we know their grabby DBs will start out holding our WRs at the line. And, we know Mahomes will get away with grounding and Allen won't...........Need I say more. Intangibles goes to the Chefs
  16. The cost of not making a move or two will be devastating to the players, fans and coaches IMO. Beane better do something and do it soon. If he does it right we could be back where we want to be. If not, I'm scared of where this goes.
  17. I remember it, watching my former hero get going downhill was a thing of beauty. From 1972-76, for a five year period, no one ever did it better. Too bad it turned out how it did.
  18. I don't think NE is as good as we are overall. They've improved and our on a high right now. But, the fact they get the following schedule adv LV,TEN,NYG and we get KC,HOU,PHI make it very hard for us to win the division baring complete collapse. NE could end up as phoney division champ-it happens sometimes.
  19. I wonder what he could do fi the defense feared the outside receivers. It seemed to my eye yesterday like their secondary was "playing downhill".
  20. Lombardi always sounded to me like his own biggest fan. Ironically, people who act like they invented something, like the game; Or their resume is unique end up getting caught eventually. People find out they can't do what they said and credibility gets shot. Yes it can get you in the door but not as much as people might think. I know I was fooled one time as a person leading hiring decisions. Never again though. If its too good to be true it likely is.
  21. It's not that desperate. Teams play rookies in the secondary all the time and they succeed. If you're someone that values athleticism it's not all that bad in the secondary. What's surprising is McD actually trying it.
  22. Yes a platoon could be in order in regard to Poyer/Hancock at some point soon.
  23. It was a horrible, horrible pick by Beane, McConkey or Worthy should've been the pick not Keon. The data i've seen said it at the time. We've all tried to rationalize it since hoping Coleman turns out better than we thought and Beane knew. This is why if the Bills are going to use a pick for WR next year I'd rather they trade it now for a proven performer. Beane and his crew have shown no aptitude for drafting a WR. And, if they're listening to Josh, they need to act like the adult in the room.
