At the end of the day for me it always comes back to the value system in place. Beane is very arrogant about how he values things. Whereas another GM will value a WR skill set that the team is lacking to be worthy of a 1st or second round pick. Beane values it as much lower, likely a 3 or 4. And, when it comes to paying a WR, he'd much rather not go big bucks and piece it together. He also made in my estimation a huge ego related error by calling into WGR in the spring. It has caused him to be more stubborn and dig his heels in more because he needs to be right. I'm done with this all now. He better be right!

I think this is it, people have seen way too many misses recently.

Starting to see alot of people out there trying to soften up the disappointment they see coming. Is the team behind this?

I don't know why people think it's hard to believe. Happens in baseball all the time, like Andy Pettitte splaying his glove out when the cutter was coming. And, a lot more film study in the NFL to catch these things. Just don't see why some people don't believe it with such confidence.

I'm afraid Beane views things much differently than Roseman. One guy views it as we're all in to win with the team we have now. The other not so much, wants to be good every year and in the hunt. And, that's good enough for him. Guess which one is which?

Why do people want to convince themselves that a quality receiver isn't essential or even needed? Josh hasn't been great, but he will play better for sure, especially if Beane provides a lift to the offense in the form of a threat. The problem is obvious to the eye, secondaries are playing "downhill" against us. I remember some plays vs Atlanta, and even against Carolina, where I couldn't believe how fast the secondary was moving up and closing on the receiver routes. No fear at all!!

26-20 Chiefs. Spags puts McDuffie on Shakir, the rest can't get open consistently. He'll blitz and we can't handle it til proven otherwise and he won't let Cook run completely wild. We will try to hit the TEs in the middle (and Shakir) but they'll be some tips and interceptions. Josh will be more uncomfortable than he was even last week. On defense, we do better than people think we'll do, give up some yards and get some RZ stops that lead to FGS.

Mahomes is killing teams this year with his legs. We need keep in the pocket and get him on the ground with a spy. Otherwise, not worried about the KC running game. I worry about our offense, they'll have McDuffie on Shakir and our outside receivers are a negative mismatch. Need big,big TE and RB days. Josh needs to play a lot better and someone else to step up. Running with Cook alone won't be enough and we better be ready with a plan to handle the blitz.
